I read this earlier this morning and found it fairly interesting:

I'll be honest, it's not because ANTIFA/Black Bloc members decided attacked two journalists.  I've been expecting that for some time, the only question was which group would be the first to do it.

 

This is what I found interesting;

Interesting, eh?

 

The "alt-right" (a term I despise), labels the mainstream media "fake news" (implying they are liars), leftist/liberal elites, among other terms.  They scream about a "left wing media bias", and they support a "socialist agenda"

 

Meanwhile the "alt-left" (another term I despise), calls them a bunch of fascists and by implication a bunch of racists.  They scream about the media having a corporate agenda supporting a capitalist world view.

 

Think for a minute.  What does this say about the mainstream media?

They can't be both fascist and socialist at the same time.    

They can't push a capitalist and a communist agenda at the same time.

The far left is just as bad as the far right. Both have this "if you're not with us" mentality, neither tolarates a difference of opinion and neither is interested in having honest conversation.

And both have been gaining traction at the expense of the center.

Nailed it. The only things that make the news these days are all designed to magnify the insane antics of the extremes, or paint a fake impression of anyone with a different opinion, as unhinged and not worthy of a voice. It's complete lunacy.

World needs to stop glorifying the so called "reality TV" and its skewed "need" for attention. The need for instant recognition and fame is making a larger and larger part of this world into egoists who can't think for 2 seconds...

I honestly don't know WTF is going on with America anymore. Our universities have become institutions for promoting far left intolerance of opinions and protectors of peoples feel goods. Meanwhile, we've basically always had the far right and white nationalists, who've been on rise in recent years. Add into the mix our recent presidents have been increasingly polarizing figures, and I suppose you end up with these nonsensical street brawls between two equally intolerant and ridiculous groups of people that most Americans couldn't care less about. But now that it's a thing and plastered all over TV everyday, now that both sides have been feeding the attention of the other, more and more Americans are starting to care in some form another and all pretty unhealthy. The more attention people give to radical demonstrations, the more radically objected to it the other side becomes. When such things are ignored, it's generally not a problem. We've always had far left and far right demonstrators and supporters in America. Most of the time, the other side doesn't get triggered, managed to ignore each other and we all go about out days coexisting in peace. 

But boy is the media just the greatest, most helpful thing ever!

No, this hate and violence was building even before Trump announced his candidacy.  Since then, it's just gotten worse.
