I actually agree with Samus. lego doesnt look scummy to me, more like an over-excited noob townie. 
 
CODs posts have been a little off. Also him trying to start to wagon on one of the potential lynch targets from D1. Lets see where this goes.

Idk why I'm doing this. This game is boring me.

It's boring me too. Talking feels futile right now and it's all so slow.. I'd like to go ahead and get to the end of the day when there's excitement and progress. 

inb4 someone says that's a scummy thing to say because less time hurts town. Well, town is losing with the extra time anyway.. I'd like less time in agony please. Anyway most discussion and often the best discussion happens in the days leading up to the lynch and the days after. The week between is boring and not much use.

Or perhaps its because there's still no information right now, and we should lynch someone. I didn't want him to bait out x-shot ability users with his roleclaim so figured I'd vote for him since we weren't losing much at that point. Discussion kind of seemed to move away from this strategy so I abandoned it and was waiting to see if anyone had any better ideas.

I still consider myself a beginner, maybe advanced beginner, but that strikes me as a profoundly stupid move for a town aligned vigilante.

I did it once in a game  But the town eventually won. People tend to get carried away in hopes that they might actually kill a mafia in the process. Hopefully its an X Shot so we may not see another kill.

Got my chance to read up, sorry I'm going to backtrack a bit to catch my thoughts up and put them out there:

 

With 3 kills and thinking through the situations I lean towards saying we have 2 factions and SK in the mix. It is at least more likely than vgm getting lucky with their cupid choice.

 

The RCs seemed a little excessive, not sure why they had to happen (lego's I understand a little bit).

 

As for the more recent stuff, even though the game is slow I think it's due partially to the length of days and amount of players currently in the game. The first few days normally go by slower just because there's little information to go off of. However, I disagree with Canik that the days should be pushed along quicker. The more time we have and the more we use that it gives the ability to develop patterns, pressure suspicious players, and start to get ideas of what people are thinking. So yes, I agree that the game is moving very slow right now and is pretty boring, but it will get more exciting each day as the town collectively learns more and can act on that.

I've been thinking about the set up of this game. It's very likely that there are more than 2 factions seeing how N1 panned out. Usually it's 1/4 is mafia, rest is town. That would in this case set up as about 15 or 16 people pro-town and 5 or 6 mafia/werewolves. Given that both anti-town factions need to probably be equal in strength and numbers, to me it's more logical to have 3 mafia, 3 werewolves and 15 town than 2 mafia, 2 werewolves, 1 SK and 15 town. The latter seems unlikely for me seeing as town would be too big and probably too powerful if everybody has a power. The other possibility would be 3 mafia/werewolves, 1 SK and only 14 true townies, which means the town versus anti-town is 1/3 (7 of 21), which would be too much against town. From a game balance perspective only 15 vs 3 vs 3 really makes sense, so I still stand by the fact that a SK is unlikely, which doesn't bode well for brewers and his RC

I just read through previous posts to catch up and here's some of the key points I noticed, (paying extra attention to the CoD wagon because I was confused on why it started.)

CoD made TWO posts today I seen before the wagon started. TWO! Post #260 - regarding Lego's RC and how it could be scum trying to get some RCs out of people. Even if it isn't, his RC only works when people roleclaim so scum will just keep him alive and wait for RCs.

Second post (#296) he unvotes Lego, mentioning hes doubting fake claims could happen so early.

A back and forth? Yes. Something scum would notice and pick up instantly? Yes.

Here's the breakdown of the wagon starting.


1st Vote: Samus (Post 312) based on the presumption that the SK can actually be a pro-town vig and would work with a X-Role reloader. CoD's vote on Lego (which was removed prior to this vote by Samus) seems to be my understanding of his vote.

2nd Vote: Canik (directly after Samus) stating his vote on Samus was to poke inactives. He refutes Samus's FoSing him by removing his vote from Samus and placing it on CoD to test how confident Samus is. Seriously a scum move Canik.

3rd Vote: Imran (here lies our scum.) He says CoD's post are "off" and believes Lego is town AFTER Samus posts. Of course, he does mention Lego might be town prior, as well as Brewers AFTER the discussion began to die down regarding these two. Nothing of value to add during the heat of the discussion regarding Lego? Instead you poke Brewers over his claim, and poke me over stating a SK might not exist because my doubt he'd kill N1, but you leave Lego untouched? and place a vote on CoD (a possible wagon now) with the reasoning that his whole TWO posts are off? Nice slip-up mate.

4th vote: Lego. Literally no reasoning provided by Lego.. None.

Nice to also mention in Post 302 Imran mentions how Lego's RC deteriments town if he is town, but feels strongly enough that Samus is right about lego being town to vote CoD?

Also nice to notice his post voting LS. You poke LS, Samus, SM, and CoD to 'poke inactives'. I'm certain we have a scum distancing himself from a scum here. Question is, which of the one (or more) is he distancing himself from?

Just so everyone is aware, in a couple of days I am going on holiday for about a week. I'll have internet access but only from my phone, so my posts here will be more sporadic than usual.

That's an excellent point SeaBee. Also Imran was the one who pressured brewers into spilling his role. Brewers did give him an opportunity for that though so not sure whether Imran intentionally trapped brewers into RC. Brewers was actually baiting someone to ask more bout his role, so I am yet to be convinced it was all an innocent mistake on his part. But definitely good point about Imran, especially him jumping on CoD wagon. Let's hear more from him before I make up my mind.

Helped stir the pot, didn't it? Would just unvoting or poking another inactive really have been that much better for town? I don't think so. 

​And the vote wasn't really part of the refute. It's something I did after to test Samus' confidence and his accuracy as a scum hunter. His confidence annoyed me because I had just lead a mislynch in the other game so I wanted to put his accuracy to the test. See how he does.. and it's not looking real great so far.
