That plan was rejected. It's unconstitutional for Congress to pass a law requiring people to purchase a product. The Supreme Court allowed the individual mandate to stand under condition that it's a tax, because Congress has the power to tax. Easily repealed by Congress repealing the tax, and signed into law by a new President.

The actions of a President without Congress last as long as that President. No treaty, or any other agreement, is binding without a affirmative vote from Congress. Executive orders can be erased by another executive order.

I do my best to be honest. So few of us left. These climate change people are not concerned about "pollution", they are concerned about controlling the world population. Much like religion controls people under gods no one has ever seen, climate change is the new religion to control people with a fictitious catastrophe. How are we doing with controlling all that hot air coming up out of Hawaii?

Relations period will never improve as long as one category continues to be blamed or used as an excuse over another category. As soon as the words "because he's white", "because he's black", "because he's gay", "because he's a man"... on and on. Race relations will not improve as long as it's used in a debate. My rule would be... the first to bring up race, loses.

Yeah, lets ignore both human nature and one of the corner stones of human success: our (mis-)ability to gauge someones worth on less then 1 second of interaction: first impression.
What we need is for people to continue to be able to adjust said first impression and evolve as time goes on. Indeed the "because (s)he is X" doesn't help in the slightest.

We cut the taxes, and brought in record tax receipts. I do believe Donald Trump, given 2 terms, will spend more money than Obama did... but at least he will have something to show for it. It would be spent on infrastructure.

At that point they pass a bill approving their budget and the only thing the president can do is either sign it or veto it. And because congress isn't dumb, they make sure the budget gets passed quite late in order to give the president a choice of "sign it or the federal government has no budget for this year". And so it bascily always gets signed.

Knew Reagan was the first to say "FU" to congress about it, seems Clinton did too. The other ones were indeed Congress saying "FU" to the president (some Rep, some Dem).

My house is paid off, and I diversify. I like solar and robotics right now. What happened to us in 2008 will never happen again. 
Meanwhile Republicans are loosening alot of the restrictions put in place to keep 2008 from happening again, all cause $$$.
