What the hell is going on there. Rigged elections, Jackass dictator, money devaluation and a food crisis. Maduro seems to be so delusional that he thinks that its actually America's fault that the country is becoming a dumpster fire.

It stopped being socialist quite a while ago. it is "socialist" but really shows more similarities in a Fascist Dictatorship. Venezuela shows a lot of parallels to other socialist pretenders USSR(Stalin) and Cuba come to mind. What I am getting at is just because they say they are something doesn't mean we should treat it as such. If a duck but tells us it is the President of the United states doesn't mean we should look at it and say "wow the president really likes bread and swimming in the pond".

Hopefully Kasabian comes along and can offer his input. I believe he is still a Medical student in Venezuela. He's got some very unpleasant things to say about the current, deteriorating condition of his country.

Honestly, I don't even know anymore. I stopped reading after hearing about parents giving up their children to the state so their children can eat.

Even if you have money good luck finding a grocery store with stocked shelves. Looking at the pictures the stores only seem to have about 10-15% of food on the shelves. Everything else is completely bare.

The only time I ever think about Venezuela is when I hear about something horrible, or recently the sham election. Hugo Chavez turned Venezuela Socialist, and Maduro took over when he died. Socialism doesn't work. When it begins to fail, the natural course of action to keep it going is full dictatorship, or sham elections, and enforcement by the barrel of a gun. I view Venezuela as Cuba... with oil. The people will eventually take over the government, and many will die in the process. I trust the USA will be there to help when it happens.

The current situation is very difficult to explain in a few words, we have problems in every area you can think , health, economy, agriculture, industry, education and more, the current goverment doesn't want to acknowledge that they fail, they just blaim other countries for their problems, like if US goverment wouldn't have placed sanctions over Venezuela, we would have food and medicines and we could be able to buy things when the problem began with Hugo Chavez destroying private property, destroying and expropiating private companies, he thought the state could handle all , "socialism" was the cover he use to manipulate people.

 

I used to live in the city where he was born, all Chavez family(including brothers, nephews, cousings) are now wealthies as you can't imagine, and they are not ashame nowdays to sho that, driving corvettes, camaros, all american luxury cars you can think of, the goverment and people working for them has it, mansions, everything and people are starving, kids dying in the hospitals after they born because of bad nutrition, lack of antibiotics, lack of vaccines, if you want your newborn kid to recieve vaccines you need to gather a lot of money and go to colombia , antibiotics as well in colombia, getting sick here in venezuela is a luxury because hospitals doesn't have supplies to take care of ppl, the patients need to take even the sterile gloves, hydration solutions, gauze, sutures, alcohol everything, the antibiotics , the medical staff work with nothing literally to save people, chemotherapy that's is something very difficult to find, so if you have cancer and doesn't have resources or doesn't find that, you are doomed to die,

 

People doesn't find food, entire families just to banana's or mango's literally, or just rice or just spaguetti or beans but a complete meal it's difficult to supplie for a normal family, meat or chicken it's very expensive so you see people killing/eating street dogs,cats, even rats, it's difficult to watch a mom with here two year old kid even younger eating garbage, and if you have money the shelves are empty or everything is really expensive, the minimum wage/salary doesn't do anything, you can't buy anything with that, people are patching jeans, shirts, shoes, because buying new ones it's impossible, and the political leaders live like kings, wearing the most expensive brands.

 

That's why you see me trying to buy donations because i want to find someone that can send me the donation to a paypal account and use that to support myself , because it's really a very difficult situation, i think we have from 2 to 3 millions venezuelans(probably more) that have left the country to be able to support their families here

 

To end, the current goverment is useless, and want to keep the power at any cost, their cover to manipulate people is that they support a socialism, of course most venezuelans don't believe that, but it's difficult to bring down a goverment that holds control over everything, military, the justice system, the electoral system that's how they manipulate elections.

I can think of two things that could be done to get Trump's attention, and possibly speed things up. Madura starts a nuke program, or a caravan of Venezuelan refugees crashing the southern border. We could send a destroyer down there loaded up with aid, and when Maduro steps in to "control the situation", consider it an act of war and destroy him. I can hear the protests from the UN already.

Thanks for your insight Kasabian. It sounds really bad, hang in there... is it true that as of late even the oil industry, the one thing that kept the country more-or-less going is falling apart.

@Kasabian, have you tried doing something like Fiverr? I dunno what skills you have but translating usually is extremely expensive so I am sure you can get money that way.

@Kasabian, have you tried doing something like Fiverr? I dunno what skills you have but translating usually is extremely expensive so I am sure you can get money that way.

 

 

I haven't try that fiverr thing, i could give it a shot, i don't have to much experience translating and it will be difficult as well as i spend most of my time in the hospital and when i get  home it's to cook/study/sleep 4 to 5 hours tops, but will try that fiverr as soon as i get the time for it, i was doing some ads thing but it takes a lot of time and a lot of website to visit to just gain a few cents, that's why i was trying the donations/paypal system .

 

That's what this goverment is a state capitalism covering as socialist and that's how they manipulate people.

That and the oil crashing didn't help a one-trick pony economy. Which was made that way when the oligarchy was just dumb individuals instead of the atleast somewhat sensible guys they got in Russia.

 

The best foreign intervention would be an assasination, going further would just lead to civil war.
