Zombie Infestation Mafia

Game Explanation:

 

In Infestation Mafia one player will begin the game as Patient Zero (the original person affected by the zombie gene) while everyone else begins as members of the town. Over the course of the game the zombie can infect (kill) members of the town at night. Successful kills by the zombie will infect previous townies and turn them into zombies.

 

 

Gameplay Mechanics:

 

Once a townie is infected by Patient Zero they will have no power other than being an 'undead' player associated with the zombie horde but hidden amongst the town. A player who has been converted should continue to act as if they are essentially a member of the town with daily voting abilities.

 

Zombies will NOT be made aware of all other zombies. Rather, they will be split into small zombie hordes for the purpose of communicating with one another on whom to try to lynch during the day. Zombies will become aware of Patient Zero's identity upon their infection, however. Only Patient Zero will know who all has been infected and will not be a part of a horde.

 

The only way to remove a player from the game is through lynching during daylight. A lynched player will receive the proverbial "double tap" and will be killed off. They will remain a member of whichever faction they were last a member of while alive (not necessarily the faction they started as) for game end purposes.

 

If Patient Zero is killed at any point during the game, a new Patient Zero will be randomly assigned to another zombie who will then become aware of all of the undead and assume the nightly killing role.

Game Rules:

 

• During the Day phase, each player may speak and vote in thread.
• Whichever player receives the most votes during the day will be lynched.
• If two players have the same number of votes at deadline, the player who reached that number of votes first will be lynched.
• When voting, please post your vote on a separate line of your post.
• You MUST vote to lynch every day. Failure to cast a vote will result in a potential mod-kill.
• After the day, the game goes to night.
• The game thread is closed during the night.
• All active roles may submit actions via PM at night.
• Patient Zero can infect one player at night.
• An infected player will become a zombie and be assigned to a small zombie horde so that they are not aware of all zombies.
• After the night the game goes to day.
• All lynched players can no longer participate in the game.
• Basic rules for maintaining the integrity of the game thread are in effect (i.e. players may not quote their Role PMs, nor may they discuss the game outside the game thread unless otherwise permitted, etc.)
• An individual player will be considered as a winner if their last faction affiliation wins the game.
• Mass role-claiming is not allowed, but you may reveal your role if you have something interesting to share.
• Active Participation Rule: All live players must  make a minimum of 3 posts in the game thread per game day AND have a vote cast for another player when a day ends. Any player who does not meet the 3 post minimum and cast a vote on a given day will be subject to being mod-killed unless a legitimate reason for the lack of posting is communicated privately to the game mod. If multiple players have not met the post minimum on a given day, the player with the fewest overall posts will be mod-killed.
• Game Days will last 5 days.
• Game Nights will last 24 hours.

Assuming the doctor was still alive, (I haven't seen the doctor die), I don't see why Wilson would be turned if the doctor kept protecting him.

 

 

 

I don't believe Rhiz. I think that WP was turned last night and that Rhiz is one of his accomplices.

I do believe we've identified the other zombies. It makes sense that WP would be a zombie. So far, all of the zombies were identified by other zombies. Which makes sense when you consider that, unless the cop investigates the right person, they would be the only ones who could definitively know who the zombies are.

I'm not sure how you can make that assumption, I am the only one kinda actively hunting zombies, but nearly everytime you investigated someone they conveniently died, the last one you investigated was kverst, how do we know he isnt a zombie and you together on this, at least everyone I've lead a vote on turned up zombie, you lead the vote on Rafay and he turned up town. I dont think Mwilson is a cop and if the doc is out there he should stop protecting him, for the same reason I said that about Kevin, your protecting a zombie.

I was wrong about Rafay, but I was also wrong about Kverst. I investigated Kverst which cleared him of suspicion, rafay was the other I had suspected for no other real reason than he seemed scummy with what he'd said and his votes. Based on what you're saying, I'm inclined to say you weren't recently infected, and like KevinH, you're trying to build credibility as town to keep yourself alive. That's what the best outcome would be for a zombie since you can hand over 1 or 2 members of the horde and appear town until it's too late for town to have a chance at winning. Now, it would stand to reason that since I'd previously suspected Kverst, I could have just claimed he was guilty when I did my investigation.

MWilson has outed some zombies, which I can easily see as trying to gain town credit. At this point, he's been out as cop for so long that I would be surprised if he wasn't turned yet. We also have no confirmations on what the doctor can actually do.

there must have been a doc because they protected Kevin for the first night he was cop, but obviously didnt the second time because he was turned, i think he was inactive for a couple of days so we lost Kevin, then Mwilson became the cop the same night but because of the inactivity of the doc Mwilson was turned the next night and now he trying to get the zombie hunter before he gets him, i also have a pretty good idea who the doc is.

A bold assumption, but Kevin was never a cop. I also have a pretty good idea as to who the doc was but they were never inactive. You must recognize that this is a critical time for town and lynching me will ensure the victory of the zombies. The fact that the game isn't over must mean that someone tried to infect someone but was successfully stopped at least once. Or, because I identified Kverst as being not guilty, they infected him, assuming that the doc would protect me. This would explain why he voted for me after clearing him of suspicion yesterday.

Either there's 2 cops or Mwilson is lying.  Let's not forget, Kevin was a cop who got turned, so to say a doctor has always defended cop is untrue.

I am going to stick with the belief that MWilson is still the cop and that WP and Rhiz are zombies. I have no clue what Kvrest is since it was between protecting him and the cop last night for the doctor and I want to believe MWilson took precedence.

He claimed you are innocent before the night ended. This is not something new.

KevinH was never a cop. The zombies now are at a critical point. Successfully lynch me and they win, but if WP gets lynched, the town still has a chance, especially if the vig targets another zombie correctly.

Correct me if I'm wrong but zombies do not know who the other zombies are. Only P0 knows all the zombies so lynching two zombies shouldn't equate to someone being a zombie or not but rather only shows they likely aren't P0.

Strangely? The cop can investigate 1 person per night. The vote is 3-3, we'll let the mod kill decide if town gets another day, if I'm lynched the victory goes to the zombs.
