I agree, I don't see how any day talks are going to provide anything productive. We're just going to end up with a random lynch, unless we get info, of which there is only one source. If the cop is infected, its game over for us. The number of infected will keep increasing and we only have one lifeline that could vanish very easily.

That's what I was thinking. If theres only one way to kill patient 0 and he's already bitten someone, dont we get into a spiral of never winning, even if we lynch perfectly every time?
Might just be my understanding of the rules cause I'm a giraffe.

im pretty sure we have back up roles, so if the cop isnt infected we are not screwed completely.  and who is to say there is only one cop?

Also, we can only kill so many people in one day, so to have a shot at winning, there would have to be multiple cops that would have to hit and reveal the identity of every infected, and then we would have to have multiple vigs to be able to kill them all at once before they multiply again. The chance of having multiple cops that have the luck to hit all of the infected in one night are low, not even counting the vig factor. The infected will always multiply unless all are killed at once.
