Game of thrones...

So disappointed with the way they chose to end it. It was ooc, unfulfilling and it was clear the show-runners want to be done with it anyhow and move on to their star wars project.

It's a 10

I'll refrain from elaborating for now... high chance of spoiling the show for valued friends.

I can't say that any of it was out of line, or unexpected. Well done.

Why would anyone not wanting spoiler continue reading this thread after Blade’s first post?

No time atm to write much, I’m still digesting, but I loved some things, and thought others were very disappointing.

4/10..

I was majorly disappointed. The entire season was rushed and way too condensed. I predicted half of the finale and hate that I was right.

Did you base your prediction on the episode before the finale, or did you figure it out before the season even began? Just curious.

You're correct. I totally avoided Blade's thread for hours, because I don't watch it until my wife gets home from work.

The final season, like everyone else has already said, was too rushed. They had another two seasons worth of great opportunity to create amazing story... they chose to just end it. Lackluster story, enshrined within a tomb of CGI and an overpaid cast. They gave up on impressing us with intelligence, and thought that just throwing money at the production would satisfy us. They failed miserably... but Game of Thrones will still be the show that set the excellence bar for television. As my eldest daughter always says... "It is what it is".

Some of both. I made several predictions either before the season or very early on in the season. Others were based off of the end of episode 5.

I deliberately didn't include any spoilers or an opinion in the first post just in case someone clicked on it by accident!

I think the way it ended was fitting. Season 8 seemed really rushed. If there were some more episodes it may have had a better flow to it. Only thing that didn't make sense is why there is still a night watch. The Night King is dead. There is no threat on the other side of the wall.

Other than the legitimate blood line to the iron throne ;)
