Agreed, it is sort of weak. To be fair though, Kevin did make it known that he was busy IRL and all we know currently is that he supposedly visited SM. He could have targeted her to kill her if he is scum certainly but he also could have tracked her as he claimed.
I'd like to see what Kazicore has to say for himself before we jump to conclusions.

My role is pretty weak for a townie. I'm a redneck conspiracy theorist named Jim Boe Cooter (I googled and the mod invented this character lol) and my ability is the power of research!
Of course my research materials are alt right websites like infowars. So I target a player and it will tell me if he is VANILLA or NOT VANILLA.
It's weak because I can only tell if a mafia is lying if he claims he's vanilla townie. A Mafia Goon will return VANILLA.
Night 0 I targeted Rafay (obviously based on history playing with him) and he's VANILLA
Night 1 I targeted Sister Midnight and for some reason, it returned No Result. Either 1) someone blocked me (roleblocker or jailkeeper) or 2) it will return No Result when the player you're targeting will die the next day

(1st is unlikely unless I missed something.) 2 you were roleblocked by a roleblocker. Or 3 you were unable to use your action as the kill went through first on sister midnight via order of resolution. (Witch I don't feel like looking up). I'm not familiar with his role so could mean anything with rafay.

One, rafay returning vanilla, just means that rafay doesn't have a power role.
If he is seen visiting anybody, then he can't make up any claims, as it's already known that he doesn't have any PR.
That's what it means.
And secondly, if the target you choose to investigate/visit, is killed that same night, you will get the no result text, as that's how all of brewer's games work and also how current mafia action resolution works.
