Okay... I think I can pick up a little on what you're saying about Naomi... out of sheer boredom with all the politically correct, ultra-sanitized, and unbelievably diversely cast woke shows that are constantly being shoved down our throats now... I have been binging Deadwood again to get some reprieve. I am all of a sudden overcome with a strong desire to add "cocksucker" in every sentence.

So I just binged thru this show recently and I feel like half the characters/actors are solid/well acted and half are just downright awful (mainly the crew of the roci) and I cannot stand Naomi at all. Like when she's taken captive in season 5 her attempts at fear/being upset make her face look like she's trying to squeeze out a dump lol and her accent is so inconsistent. Changes like every other conversation she has. The story is great and fun but some of these actors are just utter trash lol
The indian chick who says fuck every other word (not even gonna try to spell her name lol) is by far the best acted character in the snow

And the attempted chemistry with most characters just falls flat cause of the lack of talent these people have

Alex and Bobbie are like the only two characters that seem to gel together haha
Don't get me wrong tho, I enjoy the show a lot, and think it's a very good show. Just the actors drag it down from being an excellent show imo

LOL! She's Iranian... and the most experienced actor on the team ... 2nd to Thomas Jane of course. You must remember that The Expanse is originally a product of the Syfy Channel... not known for big budget productions. I'm glad you watched it. The story is pretty damn original, and their representation of life in space is the best I have seen.

Yeah I know she's iranian in real life but she's always depicted in a saree so I just call her indian lol

I'm on the second to last episode right now and any time Naomi is on screen I literally cringe. I can't stand anything about her. Lol

I don't think I've hated a character this much since janice soprano

I don't have time nor care to post my whole thoughts.. I will just say what a waste of time this last season was. Amos was the most "enjoyable" to watch and I was happy to watch Noami character die... only to be let down.

Gimme a minute to stop laughing... okay, I agree. I'm hoping this last season was just a bridge to the next one, but to kill off one of the best characters because everyone is trying to be too woke, could be a bridge too far for me. We shall see.

I thought this last season wasn't too bad, a little ... The ending was abrupt and lackluster. I don't know what their budget is for this show, but I don't think it's a lot.

I could not agree more. The enormous gaping hole left from Cas Anvar (Alex Kamal) being fired from the show was a major blow.

It was a good final season, and it really helped smooth over the frustrating 5th season, but the ending was kind of lame.

 

All in I would say I'm happy Amazon picked up the show and let it play out.

I can't say that Amazon did a better production job than Syfy.

I watched one episode of the new season and gave up.  i couldnt take the below average writing, even worse acting and existence of Naomi any more
