I do think the nominations and winner of Townie of the Year underscored how much town as a whole struggled this past year. I struggled to really think of any strong town performances - all of the great plays I remember were by anti town roles. It'll be interesting to see if that trend continues.

Not the first one and I didn’t know who Dennis Lloyd was until you mentioned him. A quick YouTube search confirmed that, while I’m not a Dennis Lloyd fan, your train of thought is much closer there.
