So I found the role PM for velocity, and unfortunately it’s not as cut and dry as imran just switching his vote last second to save his partner

I’m “sadly” town

I say sadly because if I was scum it would have been an easy win for town, just lynch velocity and imran and town wins. Now though we still have to find imrans partner

I am 99.99999% sure imran is scum. I was just as sure of it before scum killed me as I am now. Imran clearly was trying to force a no lynch. And all day 1 he seemed to agree that we need to lynch an inactive then he made absolutely sure of it that we did not lynch anyone. I now know he wasn’t trying to save his partner, he was just trying to keep the inactive players alive. And I think that makes more sense cause why would he risk standing out like that and tying his fate to velocity’s fate, when it was clear velocity wasn’t gonna show up, if velocity was his partner. With a potential joat and vig they could have (and should have) just shot velocity and if I’m imran, I’m not risking that if velocity is my partner. He gets shot and flips scum and then everyone knows imran is also scum. So I’m pretty sure he was just trying to force the three inactives to stay alive


With three people inactive that means town has theee less votes.

And one of the mafia is a lynch proof.

So that means town would lose a lynch

If mafia kills the active players and excellent scum hunters like me, and leaves the three inactive players alive this basically becomes an 8 player game. With my death it’s a 7 player. Force a mislynch or town to argue over which inactive to kill the next day and town is essentially ignoring hunting for mafia. Imran basically shortened the game significantly for the mafia by trying to keep inactives alive

I don’t think it would be lww with a night 1 kill of me. He knows I’ve been mafia in literally like every single game for the past year and how I almost quit mafia since I went like the year and a half before that with being killed n1 or 2 in ever single game. So I don’t think he would be that big of a dick and he would prob try to frame me as mafia for still being alive

I doubt it’s isoc or ferastical as well since they are inactive and in very certain it was imrans partner who did the kill

Lyner could be scum. He’s been scum in the past and I’m pretty sure I’ve cracked him on D1 and D2 a couple times when I was town and busted him as scum, so him knowing that I’ve off’d him a few times right off the bat of a game when he’s scum would be a solid reason to kill me

Rafay has suggested me as an early kill a few times as scum, so he could be a suspect, but he is also voting for imran and rafays history does not support him bussing scum partners, so I’m pretty sure he’s town

I just mod killed CoD in my other game and was kind of a dick to him so maybe that carried over? Don’t know him enough to know if he would carry a grudge like that, and I hope he wouldn’t

Mk is also fairly inactive right now, but he also would probably want me killed off early if he was scum since he has seen several times how I can take over a game single handed and I know he’s killed me early before
CaptainJF hasn’t been trying much either (both in my game and This one) so idk what to think

At the moment tho, I would lean towards imrans partner being MK or lyner, with lyner as the primary suspect

If velocity was lynched instead of imran and came up town, then imran could try to use that as a defense and say “see I told you I wasn’t trying to save my partner”

So that’s why I’m thinking lyner is the most likely partner for imran (who I’m now 100% confident is scum)

Yeah I don't necessarily think what Imran did is scummy because it saved Velocity, but because it secured a no lynch at the very end of the day. Also I think that lynching Velocity/brewers before Imran would be dumb because it doesn't really prove anything and just loses us an active player who just got replaced in, whereas several people (myself obviously included) are pushing hard on Imran now, and one way or the other we'll learn a lot by how he flips.

The only thing about Lyner is that he was the second person to vote Imran when this day started. Not that he wouldn't or hasn't bussed partners before, and he did "give Imran the benefit of the doubt" and unvote like a few posts later lol, but it would still be pretty risky to help push a lynch on your partner this early in the game. Granted, I'm pretty sure both mafia are lynch proof, so they'd still get one more night together...

The rest of it I mostly agree with. I'm not sure about the idea that Rafay wouldn't bus his partner though. IIRC he did it when you and MK were his scum partners and you bussed MK day one, and then hilariously took credit for it lol. I'm pretty sure he's bussed people in other games too, and he's at least good enough to jump on a sinking ship if he thinks he can praise himself for it after the game. Also, I don't think I'd be so sure that Imran wouldn't make the call to kill you himself if one of the other inactives is his partner, but I don't think they'd be my top suspects at this point.

At this point though I feel like we need to lynch Imran to confirm if he really is mafia or not. I have a hard time believing he's not, but it would obviously change the game a lot if that somehow is the case.

Tbf your whole "aww man I'm sad Velocity is actually town" thing was kinda sus, but overall I doubt that Velocity was actually scum, and I think we gain more by lynching Imran first anyway.

Imran could've easily just let his inactive partner get bussed since, if Velocity is mafia, it would've happened eventually anyway, and he probably would've known that it'd look scummy to take his vote off of his partner. On the other hand, we essentially need three successful lynches (thanks Kevin for correcting me!) out of 11 players starting the game, so it's in the mafia teams best interests to keep the inactives around long enough to use up some of our mislynches while they pick off more townies at night until all the PRs are gone. Giving scum a free night kill is moronic at best and scummy at worst.

I'm not saying Velocity/brewers 2.0 isn't also scum, but I think it's a lot more likely that Imran is, and if he isn't then I think it rules out the one thing that made Velocity possibly scum at all in the first place.

its a HUGE advanatge.  Scum can keep three players alive and have no danger for those three players to vote them or use their potential PRs against the scum.  it greatly shortens the game, especially late game, if scum keep them around, they wont ever be in danger of being lynched

 

and speaking of saving inactives....  i went back and noticed this

 

Ferasitcal, another inactive, was in danger of being lynched.  So lyner does this

And what was the very next post after lyner did that???? you guessed it,  imran switching his vote off velocity

 

So lyners action saved ferastical -inactive #1 and imran saved velocity.   feels like a joint effort here to me.

now what was the vote count at the time CoD did that?

velocity had TWO votes.  he was not in danger of being lynched at that time, so CoD was not saving him, rather CoD was ensuring that an inactive player would be lynched by putting ferastical to 3 votes, which is the deadline requirement.

 

so not only did lyner save an inactive, but he also tried to spread misinformation with the post.  

This is actually pretty scummy since you did it right before deadline, which means no one is getting lynched today (deadline is passed or I'd lynch someone just to have something to analyze tomorrow). Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

He absolutely would not have counted it. Kevin is one of the most consistent mods in the entire community, and he never does bastard stuff like that. I should've voted well ahead of time to avoid letting what ended up happening happen though. I just didn't think anyone would swap votes to get no one lynched so close to the end of the day and didn't realize it happened until it was too late.

which leaves us CoD, who only has three posts this entire game but he did vote twice

 

so we have 10 players alive

 

2 are scum, imran and someone else, most likely lyner

 

that means of the other 8 players, only 5 of them are voting players

 

a mislynch or a night kill would make it 2 scum, three inactives and four townies.  if only one townie casts a vote on another townie, the two scum can then join that wagon, and get to the deadline total.  onyl way a scum gets lynched is if ALL THREE remaining town not only vote for the scum, but the first townie switches their vote onto the scum as well.

 

So @lyner, please tell me how leaving the inactive players alive and forcing a no lynch doesnt benefit scum?

Two things:

1) you're assuming that all two remaining inactives are definitely town, which is a good worst case scenario to prepare for, but is definitely not guaranteed. If scum has even one of them then the math obviously changes completely - the active mafia would need to play the whole game by themselves basically, and rely on town either mislynching or no lynching on their own vs being able to really control it.

2) Kevin already replaced one inactive, and I assume he'll keep doing that with anyone else who dies and is active. There is definitely a chance that at least one of iSoc or Ferastical gets replaced with someone who actually tries in the next few days if they don't get killed off first, which would probably benefit us. Not that I'm banking on that, but I don't think we need to treat today like LYLO or anything.
