The only reason for all of this "Lawfare" against Trump was to destroy his ability to be elected for a second term.
They created a crime and shouted accusations to a room full of people that wanted to believe it.
They all know it's all gone after appeal, but that would take a couple of years.
The plan was to campaign against the "convicted criminal", and hope the people believe it until November 5th, and not vote for him.
It didn't work... they failed, and it's all over now.

The appellant court will follow, and Matt Gaetz will make sure it never happens again to anyone. The future will be amazing.

Democracy is simply "Majority Rules". We like to call it "Mob Rules", and it's not how we do things here. Majority voting is how we decide many issues, but it's not the final outcome. There are many guardrails and barriers that cannot be infringed... we call it the Constitution, and there are many of them. Every State has their own, and they are all different. What is illegal in one state can be legal a few feet away in another state. The USA is a Republic... it doesn't matter if 50 million people in California vote for Kamala Harris. It will not make her President. Anyone that calls the USA a Democracy is either woefully uninformed, or attempting to change our form of government.

This NY trial is a second coming in the Stormy Daniels hush-money case, a white-collar crime specific about falsifying business records prosecuted under NY state law (so good luck with your future AG doing anything, whoever it might be). I said "second coming" as previous indicted people related to these crimes (on their own unlawfull acts) were already prosecuted. You know him as Trump's dirty lawyer: Cohen.

 

In the next paragraph you are all about the USA having safeguards about "mob rule", but here you freely state that an election win is a "get out of jail free card". So which is it actually? Rule of law or Rule of popular vote? Isn't even that you believe an election win constitutes a non-guilty marker, as you will undoubtfully be gleefull in any prosecution towards Biden...

You keep weaving in and out of understanding what a Republic, a democracy and what your election method actually is. Perhaps the planets will align one day to make you have a correct statement about the whole thing in 1 go, one day...

Regarding the unlawful Trump convictions, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I'll just keep living in my Republic and you can sit over there in Europe and call us a Democracy.

I get it now... the USA is a Republic, but we can feel like it's a Democracy whenever we want.

 

Example:

 

An idiot Democrat Senator somehow manages to get a national vote to ban gun ownership in the USA.

It won't really happen, but let's feel like it can.

The vote comes in and it's a crushing defeat for gun ownership... a supermajority of 65% to 35%.

Idiot Democrats all across the country start doing the Trump dance in the streets.

Then they find out it takes a constitutional amendment ratified by three fourths of the states... that's 38 out of 50.

The very next day, gun sales skyrocket and another 3 million AR15's are resting in gun cases... mostly in red states of course.

It's not a Democracy.

This is something that explains it well, and what I usually go for. Both exist and impart some meaning to the method of Government.

 

To me personally I view Democracy as "population controlled" and Republic as "represented by elected members". While Republic states the method of government (USA is credited as a "Federal Presidential Republic" and Belgium a "Federal Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy") and the multitude in possible definitions is as broad as their are nations on the Earth (which each flavour their government to their own needs), a solid foundation is the one-person-one-vote which directly ties into Democracy.

 

 

Anyway, I am patiently awaiting a new Trump meltdown as he just dipped under +50% popular vote (49,9% presently).
