Mage Wars Mafia

It was quiet that night in Arcanus, as usual. It was around midnight, and most everyone was in bed asleep, or getting ready to go to sleep. Suddenly, powerful explosions rocked the town. The whole town shook as though it was an earthquake. Out of some windows, you could see colourful flashes of light. Then it stopped. Puzzled, afraid, and intrigued, the townsfolk got out of bed to investigate. They found the fields of Farmer Joe scorched badly, and here and there it looked as though there had been an explosion. Talking amongst themselves and putting tow and tow together, they soon realized that these were no ordinary explosions; they were caused by magic. Everyone headed back to their homes in fear and awe wondering what would happen next...

It's not my fault I'm more active. You can't blame me for posting whenever there's a discussion or query. At least I'm not like others here who just lurk - people I see reading but not posting. I don't blame them also if they don't want to post yet (might be they have nothing to say or they are lying low) but don't blame me either if I reply immediately and to even minute posts.

Plus, my musings don't preclude them from answering your question anyways. It's not as if me posting would stop them from responding or stop you from still asking them. Push your question on Kazio if you want but I'll give my opinion whenever I deem it fit.

Lastly, at least, also, I'm not like others who give very short responses... and votes without a rationale, save maybe an ambiguous statement. ;)

While being active is a good thing, clearing up accusations directed at others is not. Let's just assume for a moment that Kazio is scum. Now, he could have of course come up with the explanation you gave himself. However, there is also the possibility that he could not have made up a decent explanation. In the first case, your post did not change much, but in the latter you've given him an out. Basically, we are not gaining all the information we could if you clear up trouble for other players. No matter how logical your post is.

I never looked at it that way..

I never looked at it that way..

I made the same mistake before.

You learn with the more games you play.

@Kaziocore - Could you please explain why you felt the need to excuse Carl Vincent's actions on P3?

I don't know. I just felt like helping a first timer after I read in the wiki that it says that random voting worries or confuses new players.

I never looked at it that way..

I'm highly doubting this. You, an expert, who was able to analyze the power roles of townies exactly in the previous game?

So why did you give an OMGUS vote?

Wow, page 3 already...

Vote: Angel of Doom

Doom = Bad

Bad = Scum

@SJ - was this supposed to be an actual vote?

Cuz it's not bolded if it was.

And yes, I would rather you use a random vote, then no vote at all.

So be it.

Living citizens of Arcanus:

1. Falzis

2. Theophilos

3. molestargazer

4. Electric Mango

5. KevinH

6. junkahoolik

7. Martino

8. CanucksDynasty

9. angel of doom

10. Sir Jesus

11. Carl Vincent

12. Kaziocore

Unvote: No Lynch

Vote: Theophilos

Theophilos doesn't have any votes yet and he might be scum.

I'd rather you stick to your guns than give a token vote.
So be it.

That's surpising.

why do you say that??

Cuz it's rare for KevinH to vote on D1 and so soon since deadline is nowhere near.

It is odd cuz we've (in the past) made similar pleas and he seldom changes his No Lynch stance.

he's right, so yea it is strange

meh... is it me or is the game starting to stall??

Yes it is.

That's why I switched my vote to Falzis in order to generate more discussion.

However, that hasn't happen since Falzis is no where near being lynched.

Maybe that's because two of the votes on me are random and your reason isn't really solid either.

It's really hard to lynch on D1 as I've learned from the previous game. Does anyone have a clear and sound suggestion as to how to fish out scum on D1? Because it's very easy to be misled. =.=

As flattering as that is, I definitely am still learning the ropes. I previously thought that clarification and understanding of logic and argument was the most important. However it is the conetxt, not the content, in which one can draw a more solid conclusion.

I'm just trying to get along well with others.

Do you think you are at risk if you stick to voting No Lynch? Why feign or pretend you're in agreement?

I'm just trying to get along well with others.

That wasn't a problem before so why now?

Unvote

Vote: KevinH

Just being honest about my vote,

Is that so bad?

Trying to float Mango's boat,

Any vote that's had.

Now I've ruffled CD's coat,

Made him so sad.

Withdrawing into my moat,

Day 2 will be glad.

You're all over the place. You've played mafia long enough to know that it is not about pleasing the other players. Yet, whenever someone even gives the impression that they might like you doing something, you've done it.

Vote KevinH
On principle,

Vote: KevinH

How in the HELL is attacking a no-lynch strategy scummy? If that's the case, you may as well think that most of the game apart from you and perhaps Carl Vincent is scum. Please, for the sake of my sanity if nothing else, stop this.

Actually, I think mafia is about playing with "friends" and I don't mind pleasing them.

Somehow I've earned four votes while trying to investigate reactions to my play.

It's a bit naive to think that my actions are scummy; I'm only trying to help.
