Mage Wars Mafia

Of course I thought Angel of Doom was lying. If I'm voting for someone that has roleclaimed doctor, I would hope I don't have to explicitly say he is lying.

So out of all that information you pulled out, is that all you've got on me? What am I doing wrong for the love of God? I brought you the SK, and immediately released the information of mole's arrival at my place. Of course the effect was negative, but I was truly acting in the interest of this town.

Since most people think its a good idea to reveal the information:

The mysterious person was on an investigative mission that night.

Well if that is true...then can we assume that that person is probably pro-town?

If so, it can't be one of the following as we were the one pressing you for info.

Aquinas

CD (me)

junkahoolic

Oddly enough...I think the above (including me) are likely to be vanilla townies.

And these roleclaimed...

mole/AoD = doc

SJ = seer

That leaves Falzis, Kaziocore, and crazyemolad.

If one is the cop...then the other 2 must be mafia.

what i don't like about this set-up is this:

pro-town roles or roles that can only help the town with their actions:

-mole/aod (doc)

-sj (seer)

-kevin(vig, though i'm now thinking that he didn't roleclaim properly cause of the different twists this game has. wonder what twists his role had)

-?? (some sort of investigator)

assuming that the ones in white text are scum or scum controlled, scum:

-aod (doc)

-em (sk)

- ?? (summoner maybe)

these are the 3 scum that are found in a 12person game. but i'll say this: even with a 4th person in the scum faction, having a seer and a possible cop is way too much for balancing the game.

The mysterious person was on an investigative mission that night.

I am 100% sure that this guy is the summoner and he used the power he currently has to check if the person he targeted has a power role.

Care to explain why you are 100% sure?

i doubt it, that would make the summoner way to powerful for this game.

however if your only in this to help the town, you wont have any problems having me protect the guy at night since his role seems more reliable, unless your lying to cover your own ass.

besides what makes you think he was pro town? if your power is so vague where you cant tell their alignment or some other piece of information, then how can you know so much about the N2 person? as i've said, the only real piece of information you've given us was EM was scum, which could have been you throwing your man under the bus to make yourself look good to us, and dont say it wouldnt make sense to do that because i did it in past games and nearly won because of it.

we need a name here so that person can confirm or deny what you say is true.

I think SJ sees the power a person uses during the night. Like when EM killed, mole protected him, and whoever the investigative person is. That's from what I get from SJ.
Care to explain why you are 100% sure?

Because I am the "investigator" or shade (I can check if a person has a power role or not) but like AOD I can't use it until the summoner dies. I am self-aligned and my win condition is just to stay alive. So I'm thinking the summoner could be either Falzis or crazyemolad. I hope this helps.

@SJ - can you please confirm this?

@Kaziocore - who was it that you investigated? How many times did you investigate?

1 summoner:???

2 docs: me(self aligned/controlled, and mole/me pro town)

1 seer: SJ

1 vig: Kevin H

1 demon:EM(self aligned/controlled)

1 townie: Martino

1 shade: Kaziocore? (self alligned/controlled)

so that leaves :

Falzis

crazyemolad

junkahoolik

CanucksDynasty

Aquinas

unaccounted for

CD: townie?

Aquinas: townie ?

unknown:

Falzis

crazyemolad

junkahoolik

could it be possible that there isnt even a mafia faction to the game at all? what if its just the summoner we're up against?

Quite possible IF mole/AoD, SJ, and Kaziocore are telling the truth.

do you suspect foul play??

At this point...no.

Just playing devil's advocate.

Falzis...

D1 - did not lynch KevinH

D2 - did not lynch EM

D3 - lynched AoD

Theo/crazy...

D1 - lynched KevinH

D2 - did not lynch EM

D3 - did not lynch AoD

IF everyone is telling the truth...then logic says crazy is the summoner.

well, if that is the case, i'll vote for falzis as soon as SJ confirms. i'm pretty sure falzis isn't a simple townie.

Yeah...I'm still having doubts on him too.

But casted my vote for crazy for reasons mentioned in my above post.

What I have been saying since I first voted Crazyemolad. Even with the new info and roleclaim it still makes sense.

Sometimes...things that make sense just isn't the right decision.

This game is about mis-direction.

Say for example...IF Falzis was the summoner.

D1 - he didn't need to necessarily vote for KevinH since he already had at least a half-majority for a deadline lynch.

D2- he voted someone else cuz he didn't want to lose EM.

D3 - since the pro-town vig is gone, he doesn't need AoD...so he votes him in order to gain the town's trust.

The above scenario could be true for anybody.

But it's through the posts we have to wade through and find the truth.

HMM I am not geTting the LOgic behind this, i thought i made it clear...... Where is this coming from?

I meaN one second Its Falzis then i look back and its mE. Did theo do something crazy?

@ crazyemolad - anyone can post breadcrumbs so obviously like you do. TOWNIE in bold and caps you post. mole's was more subtle if I ever saw one.

Now you've outed yourself. I am sure you are self-aligned, and that you are not pro-town. You may win alone if you survive to the end but still you give powers to the summoner. By parallelism, like EM and AoD, you are not a friend of the town.

I think that is a possible set-up. A duel between two wizards would fit the theme of the game. My only problem as you've said is that there would be a lot of power roles. Given that we've had proven self-aligned SK and Golem, proven pro-town Vig, and role claimed pro-town Cleric, Seer, it would seem that by parallelism it implies that there is a self-aligned counterpart of the Seer. Only then would the battle be even. Otherwise, whoever is controlling those self-aligned would be too powerful. Don't think Narsis would create an imbalanced set-up.

Who is the Controller, the Seer's counterpart, and the Controller's counterpart? It would be a lot of power roles but then again this is Mage Wars after all. Zany as it seems but from everything we have it all fits.

Kaziocore is counterpart of the Seer. He is not pro-town. After him, we hunt the summoner/controller.
