Mage Wars Mafia

It was quiet that night in Arcanus, as usual. It was around midnight, and most everyone was in bed asleep, or getting ready to go to sleep. Suddenly, powerful explosions rocked the town. The whole town shook as though it was an earthquake. Out of some windows, you could see colourful flashes of light. Then it stopped. Puzzled, afraid, and intrigued, the townsfolk got out of bed to investigate. They found the fields of Farmer Joe scorched badly, and here and there it looked as though there had been an explosion. Talking amongst themselves and putting tow and tow together, they soon realized that these were no ordinary explosions; they were caused by magic. Everyone headed back to their homes in fear and awe wondering what would happen next...

Who do you think is the summoner?
well its either you junk or crazy

I'm not the summoner. I'm the summoner's counterpart. :roll:

@Falzis - so you are saying that you are a pro-town wizard.

Let's assume this is true...

Falzis - Sage

Mole/AoD2 - doc

SJ - Seer

KevinH - vig

? = Summoner

AoD = doc

EM = sk

Kazio = cop

The only thing I don't like is that the mafia side has absolutely no control over it's minions. Meaning that...we saw AoD, Kazio lynch EM. While they can't control their powers, they still have their own vote. It seems way too overpowered for the pro-town side.

BTW...the breadcrumbs are stale. They are only good for mole...cuz now that everyone has seen it...it can be copied. I would have believed you if you did this on D1 instead of D4.

It's pretty interesting though that we haven't raised much suspicion towards CD. I hope he's not like Martino like in the previous game.

I can assure you that I'm not.

I roleclaimed vanilla townie and gave evidence to support it.

I could have been modkilled for it.

So...no I'm not mafia.

A whining summoner? lol just putting this out there

Oh but I did.

Expecto Patronum!!!

Come out Dementors... awoooooo

The town heard some sounds and found some clowns turning mounds into their battle grounds which made them frown.

I still don't understand why we are after Falzis in the first place.I get that Cannucks Dynasty has had it out for him for a while but, what about the rest of you?It seems to me that there is a better logical case against Crazyemolad.Crazyemolad is the only one he did not vote for either anti-town power role. He even voted for KevinH.What is it about Falzis that makes him a more convincing scum than that?

CannucksDynasty, I agree with you that the breadcrumbs are a little too little to late. However I am willing to take it a step further. I think the whole Idea of role claiming is getting stale. If we take all the claims at face value we are indeed left with

Falzis - Sage

Mole/AoD2 - doc

SJ - Seer

KevinH - vig

? = Summoner

AoD = doc

EM = sk

Kazio = cop

So, we know every role except the one we need. Its not hard to role claim and just lie to everyone. I could make a rather convincing flavor text about how I am actually a grand high imperial wizard of awesome power who has the power to delegate actions and information to both summoners. My point is, its easy to make stuff up in this context.

Lets look past grudges and feelings and stick with logic this late in the game. This means we lynch Kaziocore for being a roleclaimed antitown role which would be precedent for me and I just might switch in the coming hours pending a confirmed extension. Otherwise, we lynch Crazyemolad our most logical choice (evidence in vote count) to be the anti-town summoner.

are you forgetting that crazy just joined this game so a majority of those votes arnt even his

On the contrary, I am very aware of that. Being aware, I have refrained from making any claims about his post style or anything of that sort. I am purely indicting him on the grounds of the voting record. This voting record would be constant based on role and not on verbiage or diction in his posts. In all but possibly my first post about asserting his guilt I have refrained from discussing these factors. In light of doing this I would hope that if we do lynch Crazyemolad it would not be a reflection of any sort of scumminess on my part but purely a logical deduction based on voting records. However, only concerning his posts post role switch I think Crazyemolad has done a sub par job of defending or asserting his position. His posts where he "breadcrumbs" his role about strolling through the town et al. are obvious and dismissible.

@Aquinas - so are you inclined to believe Falzis roleclaim that he is a SAGE?

No. That is what I meant to convey at the end of my last post albeit hurried before class. I think a role claim is to easy and obvious. Its way to easy to make a convincing lie about a role this late in the game. Especially when we have had a numerous amount of role claims and investigation into possible roles. Although our deductions about the structure of power roles seems likely it does not mean that someone who can create a well worded flavor text can be assigned to that role. Further, I think he role claim is rather irrelevant. Who care who the towns summoner is at this point. We have narrowed it down to three. Even if we take all the roleclaims at face value. Tonight we can lynch either you, me, Crazyemolad, Kaziocore or Junkahoolik. I think Kaziocore is a sound choice. He is self asserted anti-town there is no harm in lynching him. Seeing as it is likely the scum have lost their ability to night kill lynching a known scum if only to tip the ratio of townies alive to anti-townies alive can no be bad. The game might take longer but, at least we are infallibly increasing our chances to win barring some sort of phenomenon that the scum summoner goes into a rage as a result of all his minions dying and regains all his lost power roles himself as a result. If we don't lynch Junkahoolic dies. Seeing as we have no confirmed extension, we need to reach that majority. I recall that the extension might be granted if we hadn't reached a half majority by deadline but, we have.

If we leave this to precedent I am obligated to vote for Kaziocore. I think that although Crazyemold is more likely to be the summoner that anyone else I think it is more important to make a lynch that can only increase our numbers. Plus, maybe the summoner is forced to forfeit if all the power roles under his command die. This would make sense if you look at it like two summoners playing a game of chess. I don't see a more rational decision. We abandoned summoner hunting and killed Electric Mango when he roleclaimed. We killed him instead of Sir Jesus who was our best lead to be the summoner at that time. I think we need to employ the same strategy here. For those aforementioned reasons:

@Aquinas - I get what you are saying.

I'm doing this solely for the reason to avoid a LYLO scenario down the line. By removing a known non-town player...reduces the risk of the town losing in an end game.

Forgot to add that I'll vote for Falzis next day.

Cuz I don't believe that he is a SAGE as he claims.

Right. I'll have some input on that as well but, that is better left for tomorrow.

We need to get people voting or we loose Junkahoolic.

Also mod can we get a vote count?

Unofficial vote count

crazyemolad - 1 (junkahoolik)

Kaziocore - 3 (Falzis, Aquinas, CanucksDynasty)

Falzis - 3 (angel of doom, crazyemolad, Sir Jesus)

Not voting - 1 (Kaziocore)

Unless someone changes their vote...Falzis will be lynched since he was the first to reach a half-majority.

to be honest i want a new game so i want the game ended. so i'll keep hunting that summoner.

also, aquinas, the reasoning behind falzis's bandwaggon was simple: he had the most chances of not being a simple townie, the pro town roles were probably filled up (vig, seer and doc are enough imo) so i think he was sure to have a power role or to be scum. with the power role out cause of the previous proposition, that could have only meant scum. but his role claim does bring a disadvantage to the town if he were to get lynched so maybe that is a means of accounting for the high number of pro town roles. also, i'm curious,aod, do you have any restrictions?? except yourself that is...

As far as I can tell Crazyemolad's vote on Junkahoolik secured that he was first to half majority.

as long as someone gets lynched and its a non townie then i'm all for it, and the if i die then everyone loses their power it complete BS in my opinion. if nothing major happens tonight to change my mind i'm voting falzis tomorrow

I agree I would like a new game so i can be here from the beginning and not make such " breadcrumbs "

@ CanucksDynasty: See beginning of post #888.

:lol:

Dude...that vote count was so long ago.

First to half-majority on deadline day.

So today is deadline day.

Falzis and Kaziocore both have 3 votes.

But Falzis was the first to reach 3 votes.

3 votes = half-majority...which is enough for a deadline day lynch.

But it's a moot point now.

AoD changed his vote.

Kazio will get lynched.
