Why is it crap? How do you even have an INKLING as to that?
Why do mafia have no choice but to target someone? We're back at trying to outguess the mod - which doesn't count as a defence. As far as ANY of us (apart from the scum, obviously) know, mafia can choose to kill no-one at all.

then i'll replay an old argument, how many games have you played where the mafia had a choice to not kill?

Uh... all of them, as far as I know.
Which is quite a lot, if you combine the ones on that link with the ones I've played on IRON.

None of the games made a point of it, at least, and none of the ones where I was scum said we had to kill.

aod's Claim is clearly fake. it's ambiguous, he's clutching at straws left and right to try and please the town and save his own life ever since he was at 3 votes. it's panicked scum making a powerrole claim to try and save his hide, and the ridiculous claim that he can protect himself is just a further attempt to explain why he won't die at night.

i really hope aod's vote on em isn't a hammer. i don't think it is though.

That's kind of saying "show me one bit of evidence against me apart from this whole page against me" (hypothetically speaking there). that is the evidence against you, you have to face that.

I'm not going out of my way to please others. I'm following my gut. At the start of D2, I have suspected them both. And still believe both of them to be scum. Don't you find it odd that with all the evidence stacked against AOD that EM (a veteran) who even said AOD looks very suspicious still has not voted for AOD?

The way I see it is this...
If EM turns up scum...SJ is townie.
If EM turns up townie...SJ is scum and most likely AOD is scum too.

Presuming that there are 3 scum that would leave 7 townies.
D2 - EM lynch = townie
N2 - townie lynch
D3 - SJ lynch = scum
N3 - townie lynch
D4 - AOD lynch = scum
N4 - townie lynch

On D5 there would be 1 scum and 3 townies left.


However...I do think SJ is townie and that both EM and AOD are scum. It really doesn't matter to me who gets lynched first.

umm...they can choose not to kill in order throw people off.
I only saw in one game that this happened (possibly a missed action cuz the guy was away or something).

No. All nights have a deadline. If mafia don't send in an action by that deadline, day starts with no kill. Alternatively, in many cases they can PM the mod with "No Kill" or something similar to get Day underway quicker.

Obviously it's in the best interest of mafia to do night kill.

I don't know weather to believe you or not.
In the rules...it tells you there is a timeframe to submit night actions.
I think you would have played enough games to know that.

If you don't die and no else dies then that doesn't necessarily make you a confirmed town (as per posts above). But it would raise the % of you being a townie a bit better...say 70%. If you don't die and someone else dies then it pretty much 50%...probably less like 40% cuz of the holes in your arguements/posts.

AoD does an OMGUS, basically voting for EM to save his own skin. I'm predicting EM to do the same but is not voting for AoD yet, and I'm wondering why as well like CD.

People are second-guessing the mod.

SJ is super insistent on EM. mole is as insistent on AoD.

At the end of the day, the case against AoD is stronger given his own internal combustion all over this thread. SJ's belief is just that, a belief. We can't objectively assess his case for EM aside from believing him.
