@Martino: What is keeping you from placing an vote on CanucksDynasty? Or did you?

Because I am as suspicious of SinKon as I am of CD. Voting CD now means that it will be between me and CD. I would like to keep SinKon in the discussion. He may have suddenly turned inactive, but that does not mean we should forget about him.

Everything about Sinkon is WIFOM. I still believe more than the cases made against CD and Martino, Sinkon is our best scum candidate.

Scum lines against Narsis. Hiding after D2 (or was it D3) when he drew so much heat and then appeared sometime later when the heat was off. I don't know why he's inactive now (since I think he's still active in other threads, like Samus but Samus inherited Firkked's role which I believe is townie unlike AoD) but I believe as well that this is a form of hiding from the heat.

Also, was Narsis really the one to give the "game-breaking" strategy on D1? Wasn't it a combination of ideas from EM, Firrkked and Narsis?

My apologies for lumping you in with Martino and EM.
However, in one of your posts you suspected me, SinKon, and Narsis as mafia.
So I took that as the SFOS...again...sorry.

I revealed the most important part of the item.
I didn't disclose the name of the item and a side/minor ability of it.

IF you truly believe SinKon is scum...then why not vote for him.?
It'll only be one vote and it takes 2 wrong townie votes before scum can capitalize on it.

At first I was also suspicous of Narsis claim of roleblocking.
But there was no need for him to claim that anyways.
He was already casted in a favourable light for the D1 "game-breaking" strategy.
And it was Firkked who briefly mentioned it but Narsis to fully detail it.
EM had no part in it (if I recall correctly)...find me a post to prove it otherwise.

I did vote for Sinkon albeit QUASI VOTE (look some pages back) following the strategy of Martino to pseudo vote so the cop could see where things stand and speak out if needed to avoid a mislynch, which I agree with since I believe the cop still had one valid investigation even if we ASSUME the cop is Narsis (since he was roleblocked twice, he still investigated during D1).

If Narsis is not the cop then the real cop has more investigations he could share. I would think all investigations resulted in townie finds since if the cop had a scum investigated he would have shared it by now to avoid a LYLO.

My vote is on Sinkon you can bet on it.

I remember you placing a FOS on KevinH and (I think Aquinas) for them suggesting a max spread strategy.
That was all it was.

It was Firkked that briefly brought up the subject and then Narsis spelled it out in detail.

Not exactly coming up with the idea...more like after the fact (and you wanting to get some credit too).

No. But all movements at the end of the day are posted in-thread.
Movements for night actions are unknown to anyone but the movers.

I'm all for finding out the nuts and bolts of how the map works, I'm not sure that having people follow a pre-determined strategy can benefit the town over scum (eg anytime scum know where to find town it makes their job easier).

If a strategy for placement comes into discussion later that is obvious, brilliant and definitely works in favor of the Town I will change my opinion, otherwise I feel a maximum spread strategy may confuse more than help.

This is due to the connectedness of the map. A max spread would still give scum access to 3-5 people depending on the area.

Breaking up into groups where the scum can't move would help, if there were no pro-town power roles (eg agreeing to stay in only areas 1,4,7 and 8 as they are not connected to each other and scum couldn't move to any other group as they would be 2 moves away).

This is why I'm not convinced on a strategy for where people go for the night, other than being in areas 4 or 6 gives you the most areas to move to/from (good for scum, bad for town).

Also, EM - reasons for FOS?

doing some quick math:

if we want to limit the ability of power roles as much as possible(not really a bad idea for the first night) then splitting into areas: 2, 3, 7, and 8 in groups of 3 and one of 4 will mean that whoever dies must have been targetted by someone in their section, greatly narrowing down the suspect list. although we do limit what pro-town power roles can do consider:

1) they likely won't have someone in particular they want to target(or won't mind picking someone else)

2) there will be little to no additional limitations of who they can target nor would there be any less information available to them.


so at least for night one(and probably night two as well) i think that our best move is to split into groups of 3 and 4 spread out over sections 2, 3, 7, and 8.

I FOS'd them because they were the first to suggest that the town all move to different areas. As it has already been discussed, I too thought our best strategy was to divide the town into groups spread far apart from each other. This way we could limit the possible scum suspects. That is why I asked the Mole if we could tell where people had spent the night.

I did not get to read anything much after page 3 because I'm pressed for time so I don't know what recent conversation has taken place. I'll catch up on everything tomorrow and give some more insight.

I will probably vote for Kevin or Aquinas tomorrow but will have to wait until I read all the posts.

essentially: either you, me, or Martino is mafia. if all three of us were townie...the mafia would have had more then enough time to get two hammers in on him. i would understand not having done it around the time of your post yesterday...but by this time they've had over 29 hours to get together and hammer.

But either way, it wasn't a good point. Much like your own post which Martino astutely pointed out was only 6 hours after. Even after 29 hours, the analysis if full of WIFOM and what ifs.

They brought up a good point that it doesn't give you a 100% in the clear seeing as the mechanics of how night actions work in this game. It is however good enough for me. I'd be happy to be keeping watch over the same room tonight, something you had suggested earlier.

I'd bring down a final vote on Martino except that I don't think there is enough evidence to punch a hammer vote on him. I think it is far to likely that the scum are playing that final vote to avoid suspicion or that we have two scum votes on him already. I know that seems unlikely given what I've said about CanucksDynasty but, I'm not ruling out anything I don't know for certain.

directly? not a lot. in fact i was/am more suspicious of you or EM being scum.

also...to those saying: oh it's only been 29 hours so it doesnt mean anything blah blah...29 hours is a lot of time to get together. i think that everyone in this game so far has been on at around the same time as every other person. if they were together a couple days ago...what makes you think they wont be able to now?

as for those saying mafia is inactive...you are assuming that they are indeed inactive and not just lurking. i dont think it's safe to say Samus is inactive since he has been around(dealing with CN) so if he was mafia it's highly likely that he could find time for a couple mins to get together with a partner and lay down the hammer. as for Sinkon...i doubt he's inactive as well considering how active he was around the start of the day.

also...Aquinas gave a pretty good description of his item...yet yours is lacking a bit CD. can you give us a definite description of said item?

also...i would like to point out that i as well have an item...although i only got it last night.

caffeine pills...essentially i see anyone that moves in my room(or rather i know that someone moved but not who or what they were doing specifically).

There's 8 alive. If we mis-lynch today, most likely a townie would be night killed. If we vote: no lynch we would go into tomorrow w/ 7 townies and a better understanding of who is aligned with who.

I think that by not lynching in this situation would be helpful. It would give townies w/ items an extra night to use them and maybe we could pick up something useful tonight as well.

What do you guys think?

You know, I'm going to do an EM (like D1) and say I also thought of that as well. I highly see the value of a no lynch this day as it would allow us for one more night of investigations or whatever item-powered night actions there are.
