Congress overrides Presidential Veto
Pretty much, yes. The US could declare them Persona Non Grata but only Saudi Arabia could prosecute. While the persons themselves may not step foot in the USA. Saudi Arabia has a huge amount of assets in the USA that are not protected by Diplomatic immunity and can be seized by US courts for damages, penalties, costs etc. if it can be proved the owners of the assets are guilty. While money may not help those that died its loss would hurt those who aided those that launched the attacks.

My boss might get fired...
Years ago when I was management one thing I always did was before taking over a new position I got a job description laying out the duties and responsiblilties of the position. It was amazing how often when I took over a new position that the job description was so out of date that it bore little resemblance to the duties of the job at present. This was so that when my boss asked me to take on work and responsibilities beyond my present job description the next year at salary review time I could document an increased level of work and responsibility to justify asking for a raise. This ties into what Duderonomy said above as well.

Police officer kills unarmed fleeing man
The news in North America (I don't know about other places) is interested in only one thing and that is selling the story. Truth and morality have nothing to do with it. It is getting so that the news and the tabloids are the same thing. I saw the an interview the cop gave. He says he thought he had drawn his tazer not his pistol. They both have the same laser sight though they are holstered on different areas of the body. Could that be true. Maybe. It is pretty easy to make major errors when under unusual pressure. I was out hunting moose with a friend a few years back. He had never moose hunted before. I set him up in a good spot and did a drive towards him from an area I knew a moose was in. I heard the moose moving though the brush and heard my friend swearing. When I got to him he was swearing a blue streak because he couldn't understand how he had missed hitting the moose at that close range. I wondered what he was talking about because I had heard no shots fired. I looked at the ground and found 6 unfired rounds on the ground. He had worked all 6 rounds though his lever action rifle without pulling the trigger and hadn't realized it. Even when I showed him the unfired rounds he insisted he had pulled the trigger and that the rifle must be defective. So I put the rounds back in and fired them all off without a hitch. He still insisted he had pulled the trigger. The mind can do really weird things when under stress. I don't know if this person purposely killed another person or just made a tragic mistake. Most likely we will never know for sure. I do think most law enforcement people do their best in a very unappreciated profession. The news is just trying to make a sensation to sell the news not to report any truth or facts. And Samus social media is the most sensationalist media there is. If it is not sensational it doesn't get hits and doesn't become news.
