Personally I would go with a desktop; i5-2500K, NVIDIA 400 or 500 series, 8 GB RAM, and a 120 GB SSD and your set. Easily upgradeable each year and the Case/PSU should last you for several years. Here are some laptops though just to look at: Acer Laptop with AMD A6 and a dedicated graphics card Lenovo Laptop with Intel i5 Ivy and a dedicated graphics card (only 4 GB of RAM but you can buy 2 sticks for $50) Asus Laptop with Intel i5 Sandy and a dedicated graphics card Dell Laptop with Intel i5 SandyAcer Latop with Intel i5 Sandy If you edit video then you should go with an Intel Ivy Bridge i7 processor with 4000 HD graphics, they have hyperthreading and integrated graphics on Intel processor are excellent at encoding video. If you just edit images then an Intel i5 will do just fine and perform just as well in gaming. However if you seriously want to game on your budget go with an A8 or A10 from AMD (make sure it is one that starts with an A, I have an E-450 and I hated myself everyday when I had one). Graphics cards will cause a lot more heat in a cramped space, pretty loud in laptops from what ive seen, and your battery life is crap whether you are playing games or not (not to mention they are nothing compared to something you can put into a desktop for the same prices. 6-8 GB of RAM should be plenty unless you do some hardcore video encoding. I would go with a 120 GB SSD and have a 1 TB external hard drive (USB 3.0 if the laptop you get has it). SSDs are extremely fast, you might could blink and miss the startup, and they are energy-efficient/silent. Then again I don't see the point in having to get a tuned down system when you can buy parts for a desktop and put it together yourself (the only difference is the first time you do it you have to buy Windows 7, everytime after it is free unless you bought it OEM)

All we really have is two people who think the other is suspicious, my eyes look more towards those who were quiet in the last round, ABigDeer and reign of terror didn't vote at all and not putting your opinions out there and "laying low" are some pretty basic scum tactics. Also waiting on ccabal's thoughts after he led the party that lynched EM

I'm still not sure that any of the people we are accusing are even scum. But for the sake of casting a vote... Vote: Rafay I see more reason to believe that he is scum than EM, he posts aggressively and instead of debating accusations he just says cool story bro and doesn't post again (which he starts to try and blend in after people start looking at him). Unless guild is Kaardolian slang for "killz for lulz" I can buy EM's role description, and understand why he would question ccabal's role claim (thinking he was a mason of some kind while his role was actually that of a mason).

I could be over analysing the flavoring to the game, but I'm just throwing out possibilities since we still don't know if its a normal mafia (who trolled us by not voting the first night) or if its a special game. You can choose to not tell us anything about your role but it seemed odd that you would announce you have a power role when nobody was questioning your affiliation. I don't think Rafay is scum, but more like a new mafia player who is throwing his suspicions around aggressively (or he could have been playing a character like BeeBs).

The Empire of Wei has begun repositioning her troops in order to combat these new forces as our campaigns in Siberia come to a close.

WARNING: The following is a long post where a lot of BS is thrown around. Viewer discretion is advised. My thoughts from what I've seen so far... Opening Setting: The opening to the game has two guards hearing a loud roar before one of them finds the king dead. Then a single robed figure approaches them, another loud roar, and presumably the men are killed by this robed figure (it only says that they screamed although they could have had a Shaggy/Scooby moment and ran away). Combine this loud roar sound and how the king died (mangled) with the ways the first two townies died (burning and hanging) it would look like some kind of werewolf scenario (mafia can be this horrifying monster or a human). No night kills on day 1 could either mean it took the opportunity to convert someone (so that a lucky lynch didn't end the game for him) or that killing makes him tired and he has to rest and cant kill every night (or the mafia were MIA by the time the night actions came around). Player Suspicions: Rafay comes off as an inexperienced player. He jumps down people's posts and accuses them of things because of minor oversights or accusations. He accused KevinH of being scum because he asked a lot of questions and didn't know who the king was (KevinH we know is a poet but could just be a wandering bard who happened to be here when the murder happened, or he could just be a traveling serial killer, who knows?). Hating poetry is hardly a reason to suspect someone though and he could be new to playing scum so he doesn't know how to stay anonymous. BeeBs also seems to hate poetry for some reason but his hostility at the beginning could have been temporary/bipolar. Although he could have killed the king as a monster/been possessed, and just can't remember (this is grasping at straws on the other side of the world though). I'm pretty sure EM is a townie, he was the first to propose werewolf but he had a pretty good point in the use of singular culprit. Although he could have been reading too much into the words (as I did in my analysis of the opening) it does seem like the mod put a lot of work into this and probably took his time carefully using words. His role as a Mason is questionable as it says he is lonely (therefore nobody to talk to and that he is just a brick maker) but no bricks to lay would stand to reason that he is a mason along with someone else (or that he sucks at his job). When the results of the first day are posted, it is mentioned that a cow is killed,either the mod is being very detailed (thus making us throw a lot of bs around trying to straighten it out) or that it is in fact some kind of monster I'm not sure about ccabal, he claims his role is the princess and that someone can confirm this (possibly a bodyguard/queen/prince of some sort). What if the princess killed the king to take the throne though? The person who can confirm his role would be an assassin or a noble who wants power. I don't know how his role could be "special" though because other than someone being able to confirm his identity (like a mason) he doesn't say anything else (and odds are he isn't the doc/cop role as the princess probably wouldn't have anything to do with those roles). KevinH seems to be a townie but while rhyming he mentions the possibilty of a wizard and "Upon the scum I put a curse!" could mean he is a wizard himself (although good or bad can't be said). He could have possessed Beebs in the beginning to kill the king (but it would be unlikely that the mod went to such an extreme I would think). He keeps mentioning the cow in his rhymes, hinting that he thinks its some kind of monster? Anyways... thats just my two cents from what I've seen so far, I think it is either a werewolf variation where he can change back and forth and may need to wait between kills to rest or perhaps ccabal's princess killed her father so that he and another character (assassin/boyfriend/husband/wizard) want to take over the kingdom. Of course I'm reaching on some of these observations but I thought I'd throw out some possibilities so we'd have more than, "I think it's a werewolf"/"I think your wrong" convos. EM should explain his role a little more (whether he is an actual mason or that is just his job and ccabal should describe the type of "special" role the princess has because just saying someone else could confirm your identity, it doesn't mean your not scum.

The Empire of Wei will send all remaining forces in the north to finish off The Church of the Sky Stream, attacking the province between our borders and our allies' borders. The rest of the military is preparing to defend against our new enemies around the world.
