  1. I like to have fun and win the game at the same time.
  2. I told you the game wasn't normal. You of all people should be able to appreciate that after some of the games you've modded. One of the most frustrating things for a mod to watch unfold in their game is to watch someone get away with an obvious lie. I want players to question and cross examine everything that occurs in a game of mafia. Don't take anything for granted and do your due diligence. I took a few abnormal liberties in this game but there were still a lot of things in play that could have changed the outcome. Originally I was going to do a full no reveal game but decided that it would at least be easier if there was something to go off of. And btw Kevin would have still showed up as Hydra to a Cop investigation so the town could have caught him that way as well. I'm also surprised no one ever thought "Damn there have been a lot of kills but no scum have been hit yet. That's weird." The odds of a game getting down to 5 players remaining without a single scum being hit are incredibly low. The game also started with 12 players. General rule of thumb (~25%) should have told everyone that there were at least 3 scum. Only having 2 scum in the game would have been ~16.7% scum which is really low. When the game didn't end with 5 players left it should have been more apparent that fewer scum remained than one would have expected. There were several indicators that things weren't all that they seemed to be.
  3. Mod Notes: I opted to have Lyner show up as green for two reasons: Lyner's actual character was Grant Ward. For those who haven't seen Agents of Shield at all: *SPOILER ALERT* Grant Ward is a Shield Agent that is revealed to be a Hydra implant. This was meant to be a bit of an easter egg in the game since it's a common theme in the MCU that Hydra had infiltrated Shield. Initially I was going to reveal Lyner actually as Grant Ward but I decided to reveal him as his safe claim instead after he lied about his role claim. I opted to reveal the safe claim because I figured the game would end way too soon if his actual name/role combo was revealed.I will admit that revealing Lyner the way I did probably swung the game into the mafia's favor a bit but I didn't think it would be too bad when Lyner lied in his role claim before dying. I assumed the town would be wise enough to look closer at the results Lyner gave after his lie was revealed. Yes, it appeared that he was town on the surface but I am a firm believer in "Lynch All Liars" so I think the town shouldn't have given Kevin the free pass like they did. I was also very clear early on that no one should assume this game was "Normal". The town also had lilweirdward on the ropes early but completely "forgot" about it after Lyner slipped up trying to divert attention. I was baffled that the town never went back to lilweirdward after that. Then later in the game Robert (Role Cop) investigated lilweird as a JOAT and then lilweird scrambled to claim Robert was wrong. If nothing else I assumed this would be the nail in the coffin for lilweird but the town basically overlooked this too. Then there was Robert bringing up the "crystals" and "silver mist" and no one (except lilweird) paid any attention to it. Even as the game went on and more townies underwent "terrigenesis" no one ever went back to this and said "I believe Robert is town because..."Finally, on the last day both Finster and Tony had approval to share the contents of their personal role PM and waited until it was too late. They had pieces of the puzzle that could have helped the town lynch a scum and survive another day.So even though Lyner's reveal tilted things in the scum's favor a bit there were a lot of missed clues and opportunities for the town to turn things around.
  4. Highly unlikely. I'm pretty sure this book focuses more on the things going on in the Southern territories. Like I mentioned earlier, it focuses more on the Lannister's and the events occurring in King's Landing as well as the events in the Iron Islands and Dorne. We probably won't see any reference to White Walkers at all in this game and maybe not even Daenerys either.
  5. Some of you were able to shed some light on things that were in play in this game but I will now reveal the setup and game mechanics: Beginning Town (Shield) Roles: Brewers/Nadarr (Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez) - 3-Shot Commuter Rafay (Robbie "Ghost Rider" Reyes) - Even-Night Arsonist Torres (Daisy "Quake" Johnson) - Roleblocker Lord MK (Jemma Simmons) - Medic/Doctor Finster Baby (Phil Coulson) - Vanilla Townie Robert (Leopold Fitz) - Vanilla Townie Tony Maurice (Melinda May) - Vanilla Townie Velocity (Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie) - Vanilla Townie Wolfpacks (Jeffrey Mace) - Vanilla Townie Town Role notes: Anyone who is/was familiar with the show might notice that the characters with roles at the beginning fit their characters. Elena Rodriguez (Yo-Yo), Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider), Daisy Johnson (Quake) are all "Inhumans" or had supernatural powers in the show. Jemma Simmons was not an Inhuman in the show but I gave her the Medic/Doctor role because I wanted the town to have a doctor and it fit her character.Rafay (Ghost Rider) could prime players on odd nights and ignite them on even nights. All of the other townies were vanilla townies at the beginning but they all had a hidden modifier/role in play as well that they were unaware of. All of the vanilla townies were also SILVER GOO which meant that they would take on the FIRST role that targeted them. Beginning Mafia (Hydra) Roles: lilweirdward (Gideon Malick) - Jack-of-All-Trades (Cop, Tracker, Doctor) Lyner (Grant Ward) - Jack-of-All-Trades (Role Cop, Follower, Rolestopper) KevinH (HIVE) - Traitor Mafia Role Notes: lilweirdward and Lyner were both Mafia JOAT's. Each one had an investigative role (Cop/Role Cop), an action role (Tracker/Follower), and a protective role (Doctor/Rolestopper).Each JOAT action was "unlimited" but they had to use each one before being able to repeat any of them. My goal with setting it up this way was that they would hopefully target various vanilla townies and unknowingly grant them some of these actions to use for themselves.KevinH (HIVE) being a traitor did NOT start out as a full member of the mafia faction. The mafia were told that they had two missions: 1) To eliminate the opposing faction and 2) To find the inhuman HIVE and return him to Earth.HIVE could only be found through a Cop/Role Cop investigation. If either of the mafia chose to use one of these actions on Kevin it would reveal him as HIVE and bring him into the mafia faction.KevinH (HIVE) also had a hidden role/modifier. Kevin was YELLOW GOO. This meant that whenever someone targeted him with an action, they lose the ability to use that action and he gained it. 6. Started to give kudos for good info...until brewers came off the top rope with: I don't entirely buy this to be honest. It might end up being true in this game but in the previous GoT games allegiances have held pretty true to the book/show. One of the games appeared to be similar in lore to this one as well in that traditional bad/evil characters in the book were town in the game. It was as if the game was being told from the evil perspective and they were the heroes in their own story. I don't think it's a mistake that we've already seen three Lannister aligned characters and Euron Greyjoy be revealed as town. My guess is that we will see characters who served as the main threat to the Lannisters in "A Feast for Crows" be revealed as scum in this game. I'm betting it will be characters aligned with the Tyrell's and the Faith Militant. Those two "factions" were directly in opposition to the Lannisters in "A Feast for Crows".
  7. Had it last game, until brewers trying to lynch me D1 actually worked Truthfully, I’m just throwing out guesses. Kevin could also be right, it could be like 2 scum factions of 2 and an SK, maybe the scum factions are even/odd night kills so we don’t lose 4 players a cycle? These are thoughts that crossed my mind as well. With ~5 scum we are either looking at a 4 person mafia team + 1 SK (or similar) or 2 mafia teams with 2 players each + 1 SK. It could be that the scum factions have even/odd kill modifiers or other limits. But again in a game with 20 players all scum factions could very well have the ability to kill each night. You rat bastard. With the Lannister’s turning out as town so far we should definitely consider who they were in direct conflict with at this time in the series. I don’t remember off the top of my head but will look it up later. Does anyone else know off the top of their head?
  8. That’s just what a newly made scum would want us to think. Scum. Sounds like someone has posting restrictions.
  9. Good luck to Torres on modding your first game! Vote: Brewers Strongman is a scum tell. GTFO scum.
  10. Vote: Smitty Voting with no justification is frowned upon. Also, welcome to IRON mafia. I believe that LF was an SK in brewers last game, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he wereInteresting point. I’d say it’s a distinct possibility that he is again.
  11. Welcome back ABT! Good to see you brother. It shouldn’t be that surprising buddy. You saw my activity in Robert’s game. In any case, I’m here. We lost two impactful roles last night unfortunately. That hurts. I think we are most likely dealing with a serial killer in this game.
  12. So Torres says he visited me last night. MK claims he visited LWW. Two questions: 1) Torres would have no way of knowing for sure that I was a commuter when he claimed to have targeted me on nights 3 and 4, so how would he have known to claim that he got no result on me or “missed his target” or whatever? 2) If MK is correct and Torres targeted LWW last night, why didn’t LWW die? What am I missing?
  13. It seems likely to me that either Torres or MK are our final scum. Strongman is typically a scum role but in a game with multiple killing factions and bulletproof modifiers it wouldn’t be impossible for him to be town. MK needs to role claim as well. The other unfortunate thing is we can’t really confirm Lyner’s claim.
  14. You are correct. I can only confirm that if Torres actually targeted me the last two nights his results were accurate. I cannot say that he isn’t actually a SK or something instead of a town Vig. Someone refresh me since I have been pretty inactive in this game. What are all of the current claimed roles? And at this point all of the cards need to be on the table. If MK hasn’t role claimed yet he should now so we can talk everything out.
  15. So it comes down to me or Lyner then. I am torn honestly because Torres is acting scummy but I can also verify his two results on me. I am Martian Manhunter, a Commuter. I have commuted every night so I have been untargetable the entire game, hence the reason I said earlier that town protective roles should target other people. Someone should unvote for now just in case Lyner is our scum.
  16. I'm starting to think this as well. It is feeling like we might have three individual scum factions but it's odd that multiple night kills haven't really happened. True. Who did you target last night? So you targeted me on night 3 and night 4? What result was returned to you? Just that you missed me? How do you know that someone tried to kill you last night?
  17. Euron Greyjoy is an ass and cannot be allowed to rule the IRON Islands. #freelittletheon I want to make sure everyone sees these three rules and keeps them in mind. We might need to take some things with a grain of salt.
  18. Agent Melinda May stood behind Fitz. She checked for a pulse but there was none. May's attention was now focused on the computer screen that Fitz had been sitting in front of. Her picture was on the screen. Next to it were the words: Shield Agent, Cop, Inhuman. May's mind lingered for several moments on the last word.. Inhuman. May wasn't sure what Inhuman meant. She carefully lowered Fitz out of the chair and to the floor before sitting down in front of the terminal herself. She punched the word Inhuman into the Shield database and a number of results were returned. She clicked on the first link and read: Inhumans: What and who are they? "The Inhumans are a race of altered human beings that were the result of experiments on ancient humans by the extraterrestrial race, the Kree, embedding into their genetic code the potential to transform and/or acquire superhuman abilities through a process known as Terrigenesis." May continued to read: "Centuries ago, an extraterrestrial race known as the Kree waged a long war with high casualties. In need of more soldiers, one vicious faction among the Kree decided to genetically modify the DNA of other intelligent creatures across various planets, intending to create a warrior/slave caste that they could use to help win the prolonged war. The Kree eventually came to Earth, where they created their own installation and began experimenting on groups of humans, using their blood, changing their genetic makeup, which gave them the latent potential to develop superhuman abilities. Before the experiments could be completed, another faction of the Kree came to Earth to shut down the project. The Kree eventually left Earth, believing their experiments were unsuccessful. However, the altered genes of the Human test subjects were passed on through generations of their descendants. The Kree also left behind the numerous Terrigen Crystals, contained inside devices called the Diviners, which could be used to activate the dormant genetic modifications." She stopped reading for a minute and thought back on what had happened to her mere hours ago. After May and Mace found Agent Daisy Johnson in the alleyway, May had continued on into the nearby warehouse. She remembered hearing something move in the shadows inside and remembered something flying toward her. The object fell to the floor next to her and shattered. She then remembered a sliver mist rising up and circling around her. That is when scales formed on her arms and encased her body as if she were being cocooned. After a few moments the scales had crumpled away from her skin and she felt a strange new power flow through her body. May couldn't believe it. She had undergone Terrigenesis and a strange power, an inhuman power, was unlocked then. May looked back at the screen and read a little bit more: "When the ruling Kree hierarchy had discovered the existence of the Inhumans, they feared their power and conceived the Monolith as a means of wiping them out by transporting them across space to a planet known as Maveth. One day, an Inhuman named Alveus as created by the Kree Reapers to lead their army of Inhumans, but instead he led them into a rebellion against their creators and eventually banished them from Earth, never to return. The other Inhumans became so afraid of Alveus' powers, that they worked with humans and banished him to Maveth. The Inhuman's followers, believing him to be destined to rule the world, formed a secret society with the sole purpose to bring their true leader back to Earth. Over the centuries, the society grew and evolved, taking many different shapes, being called by many different names, until it had become known as HYDRA. Eventually, the society came into the possession of the Monolith, but never managed to bring their leader back to Earth despite numerous attempts at it." "Many failed attempts," came a voice behind May. May wheeled around quickly and stood face to face with two hooded figures. The first one lowered his hood. Gideon Malick spoke again. "So many failed attempts over the centuries to bring Hive back to Earth. That is.. until a few days ago.." The second cloaked figure removed it's hood and May stared into the face of a tall alien creature with squid-like features. "This world belongs to Hydra and all will bow to me. There is nothing Shield can do about it." Hive raised his arms and a ghost like substance filled the air. May staggered forward to throw a punch at the creature but before her fist could connect she crumpled to the floor and disintegrated. Tony Maurice (Agent Melinda May), a Shield Cop was killed on day 5. HYDRA IS VICTORIOUS Hydra: Lyner, lilweirdward, KevinH I will be revealing all of the game mechanics, some mod notes, and the full game narrative publicly but before I do I'd like to see if anyone can piece together what was going on. Any thoughts?

  22. So Nadarr has now received the necessary number of votes to be lynched today, right? @Brewers - If you're a survivor you better not rush a vote on the last day.
  23. A hooded figure emerged from the dimly lit door and stood in the shadows of the warehouse for a few minutes as he watched darkness fall over the city through the warehouse windows. the figure slipped out under the cover of darkness and made it's way toward the field where Zephyr One was docked. The cargo bay door opened and the figure slipped inside. He cautiously made his way past several pallets of crates and over toward a ladder. A steel pipe stood against the wall near the ladder. The figure picked it up as it made it's way up toward the bridge. The glass door to the bridge slid open quietly and the figure slowly stepped in. He paused for a moment as he heard noise around the corner. Peering around the corner the figure saw an agent working on a computer terminal but it appeared that he was alone. The figure cautiously approached the agent while his focus was on the computer. He raised the steel pipe in his gloved hand and brought it down across the back of the agent's head, knocking him out. Robert2424 (Leopold Fitz), a Shield Role Cop, was knocked out on night 4. It is now day 5. 24. Again I apologize about my activity in this game. A combination of factors have contributed to me not being super invested up until this point. I have no information to share, I've been slammed with work (hence the reason my game hasn't been updated yet), and I just haven't really been able to invest myself in figuring out what all is going on in the story of this game. Although it doesn't appear that anyone else has really had success there either. As I mentioned earlier in the game, if we have any protective roles left don't bother protecting me at night. Your action is probably better spent on another townie and I can take care of myself. If anyone has any really solid info at this point I'll defer to you since I haven't really been able to do much.
