  1. I think I got one, like 3 or 4 years ago! Thanks to everyone!
  2. All is well, thanks Mr. President o7. It was fun.
  3. Ruler Name: nconcilla Nation Link: http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=541003 Member or Cadet: Says Cadet now but was a Member.. i think? I was off in the Army but now am back. Woot.
  4. Gonna have to say go broncos.
  5. Totally agree, Phil's a funny dude. His opinions don't change that for me. Orson Scott Card, the author of Ender's Game, the movie just came out- Card wrote that states should keep laws prohibiting homosexual behavior on the books “to be used when necessary to send a clear message that those who flagrantly violate society's regulation of sexual behavior cannot be permitted to remain as acceptable, equal citizens within that society." - now, that was a while ago, but that didn't stop Summit Studios from picking up his movie, or him being called one of the best science fiction authors of all time. People still petition his stuff. tl:dr - C'mon, a dude can't have an opinion? Gimme a break.
  6. Now that it's winter break, I only know what day it is because the tv just said "monday night football." Life is good.

Well, I'm not on PC but my XBL Gamertag is Joys Affliction!
  8. Finally finished them all.. finished my last one in 8 minutes, either I really knew what was going on or I was so far gone that I thought I did.
  9. No no, but I'll pass on any possibility of a golden shower xD
  10. I hope we don't go to the same university
  11. I have those down, half of my family hails from Sicilia
  12. At least they have an alphabet.... xD
  13. Google translate on my phone though 我很好, 你呢?
  14. I'm picking up Italian next year so that I can apply for a base there (hopefully) I picked Chinese for those reasons, obviously they don't there, lol.
  15. 6 months is pretty fast. That said, unless he's politically connected, what are his chances of making E6 over a better NCO? Obviously, there's always the exception that proves the rule but it seems to me he's the kind of person that stalls at E5 the way some people stall at E4. Just a guess knowing nothing about the soldier but what you said. I hope low, because we conduct squad tactics to evaluate leadership (why I have no idea). And if he were my squad leader I'd be scared. Lol. Great guy though!
  16. Haha, well I know a little bit of Spanish already, and the Army doesn't pay me to learn Spanish, plus it will affect where I'm stationed most likely -- I'd rather be in China than the middle east, for example. Or South America.
  17. Two idiots arguing in the hallway.
  18. When they said "a lot" it wasn't like, a majority. Just more than you'd expect. The SMI (the SNCO of my bn, a MSG) makes it his daily job to ruin someones day. I have an essay on 670-1 because my hair (while in regulation) made me look like a "fucking hippie." Also, E4 is given to any enlistee that has his bachelors (my squad leader freshman year was green to gold, he made E5 within like 6 months of joining, because he came in as an E4, and he was pretty broke dick even for cadet land. Good leader, but didn't know jack. And yeah, they tell us that the only way you don't get O3 is if you mess up really bad.
  19. Well my major requires 3 years of language so it's basically my fault. The nice thing is, as long as I pass it, I get $$$ from the Army. And yeah, tests are not a super great way to check for learning!
  20. That's what I've heard from everyone. I've also heard that there are a lot of snco's that aren't up to snuff to put it nicely. I'm just hoping that luck of the draw is in my favor. +1 US Navy for 6 years. Our "grunts" painted ships all day and were not looked highly upon. I would really strike out and find a "real" job that will get you something better when you get out. I did radar while I was in and now I do aerospace electronics. Joining was the best thing I ever did with my life (even though I hated most of that 6 years). I'm of the opinion that you should do something in the military that you may never have the chance to do again. Then again, I had to go to school after I got out because there isn't really anyone looking for people who like to blow shit up and lay landmines in the private sector... I'm hoping to branch Civil Affairs or Foreign Area after I make Captain, if they'll let me. Field Artillery first, because I'm told they prefer combat arms prior for CA and FAO. I'm an international relations major and chinese minor. So, hopefully that can be transferred to a "real" job. And so far, so good. Officer is just a tad different than enlisted . It's what I want to do and the powers that be granted me a scholarship, here I am. TW and Lysistrata: I think I can speak for everyone else when I say that your support is very much appreciated, thank you.
