Well...We're fucked.
I find your opinions about our scientific institutions and professionals insulting. Having an engineering degree myself (Electrical Engineering if you must ask), I can tell you being in that type of scientific field requires a level of intelligence that you personally may just not understand. And acting like the primates we are, you are afraid of what you don't understand and have dismissed it merits. To answer your question; There is no solution, as the title of this thread infers, We're already fucked. The real question is what can we do to mitigate the effects of climate change on the existence of the human race.

Rrecommend a gaming laptop.
Shah, If you want my advice, I purchased a laptop in February for gaming and even with the warranty voiding upgrades I've made recently, the overall cost is still under $1000. If you want to stay cheap on initial purchase price but ensure your getting a quality product, I would suggest going with MSI. http://gaming.msi.com/products/notebook I purchased a low cost GE series laptop, which if i remember correctly only cost me 600-700 after taxes and shipping from amazon with associated prime discounts. (http://gaming.msi.com/products/notebook/ge-series) The Laptop came with I7 4710HQ, 8 GB RAM, 1TB HDD and a nvidia geforce GTX850M graphics card. In addition there were a bunch of other cool features like steelseries keyboard which comes with multicolor LED backlighting if you want spend alittle extra money, however I choose to reduce costs as much as possible and got the model that has the steelseries but no backlighting, Killer e2200 NIC card, Sound Blaster sound card, touch/mouse pad disable button on the keyboard (Which is really useful for gaming), a cooling system override button which allows you to toggle the main exhaust fan speed between min, auto and max from the keyboard, a screen disable/enable button which allows you to toggle the laptop screen off/on when connected to a HDTV, which is useful when your viewing movies and videos and many other small but usefull features that really demonstarate the quality your getting. Take a loom at some of the videos on youtube of MSI laptops being dis-assembled. The heat sink is high quality and the fan is relatively quite during normal operation, when gaming with a headset on, the max fan speed setting is unotticable for a noise perspective. However I would note if you don't use a headset the fan can be a bit load at max speed. Right out of the box, the laptop was capable of running almost anything on near max settings at 30-60 FPS. The only limitations being the speed of the HDD and limited 8GB RAM. I recently added a samsung 850evo 256GB mSATA SSD, transferred the OS to the SSD and bought 2 sticks of 8GB RIPJAWS RAM (16GB Total). The install while it has voided warranty was super easy and you can find videos on youtube detailing best practices for modifying/upgrading hardware in MSI laptops. The upgrade has super charged this laptop. I have yet to find a game I cannot run in max settings, 1920x1080 at less than 60 FPS. Startup time, ie from pushing the power button to all startup programs loaded and gaming ready is less than 10 seconds. Having the OS on the SSD was a huge upgrade in performance as well as having all my games on the SSD. I would say the hardest part of the upgrade process was getting the OS on the SSD. I tried to do a migration that went all wrong and ended up corrupting my system files. Migration is a nightmare, the best way to go is to format both the existing HDD that currently has the OS and the new SSD that should be blank but you will need to create filling system. Once everything is formatted, use a USB memory stick to install windows 8.1 from Microsoft provided install file (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media) on the SSD and your good to go. The windows keys are hard-coded into the BIOS so you won't have any issues with re-licensing, it automatically picks up the CD key on install and never even asks you for it. In addition the bios is easy to set for booting from USD memory stick. ASUS ROG is another option but it is a bit more expensive and I feel MSI provides better features and quality for the price.

Well...We're fucked.
This was addressed previously, yes climate change does occur naturally but usually takes thousands of years to go full cycle. The rate of change we are seeing right now is way too fast for it to be a completely natural driven occurrence. Scientific evidence has been presented for years to back this up. But hey what do those journal published, peer reviewed and general consensus scientists know. They are all just a bunch a hippy loving liberal scum. I love it how our countries (The US conservatives in Particular) international opinions are always referenced with national experiences. For instance you say us liberals are just a bunch of socialist lovers who want to turn this country into the second coming of the USSR. But what you fail to recognize is that the scientific community is an internationally educated community that could care less about liberal american viewpoints, to call them all "an army of leftie zealots obssessed with turning the planet into their version of utopia... and they have no problem lying about anything to achieved their goals" really shows how much of the right wing cool-aid your currently drinking. To the point made in the quote above, yes.... climate change can occur regardless of gas emissions in a natural sense however that does not exclude the FACT. The fact is gas emissions (Man Made & Natural) is one of many major driving contributors in the cause and progression of climate change. Your clever use of wording is the reason why so many idiots don't believe it even exists. I'd like to come to a understandable agreement with you right wing nut jobs. I'll agree that the climate change we are seeing now may possibly have been put in place or started naturally however you must agree that mankind has made every effort possible in failing to prevent it from happening in our lifetime and/or minimizing its effects on our species. To put this in a nice figurative way, climate change is a fire in your kitchen, mankind's contributions are like "pouring gasoline on that fire causing the a 5-Alarm that burns down not just your home but the entire neighborhood" SORRY EMU, this post is not directly targeted at you its more for your fellow contributing partners in this thread. Your attempt at a fact based opinion is commendable but the evidence you present is flawed. That study done by the university of Alabama is misleading and has been disputed by NOAA. As per NOAA's publication; "Much study has been devoted to the possible causes of an apparent decrease in the upward trend of global surface temperatures since 1998, a phenomenon that has been dubbed the global warming “hiatus.” Here, we present an updated global surface temperature analysis that reveals that global trends are higher than those reported by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, especially in recent decades, and that the central estimate for the rate of warming during the first 15 years of the 21st century is at least as great as the last half of the 20th century. These results do not support the notion of a “slowdown” in the increase of global surface temperature." But hey NOAA is liberal scum as well right?????? Whatever your personal opinions are on the matter, wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry. If this is real, the human species will be put in jeopardy. Hind sight being 20/20 we should take measures to prevent any possible danger to our existence. Lets put politics aside and trust that the scientists know what their talking about and do something about this.

Hilary's running. Who else?
Umm no its generally accepted that the 2009 budget is owned by bush.
-
Hilary's running. Who else?
Yes national debt is created by deficit.
-
Hilary's running. Who else?
Do you understand what deficit means?
-
Hilary's running. Who else?
There have only been 5 years of surplus in the past 50 years. That money aignt getting "paid back". And while we are at it Obama didn't even cause the deficit. The deficit went from 2% GDP to 10% GDP as a result of 2008 financial crash which Obama had nothing to do with. I could tell you many things but tell me why you like him? 1. His health care policy-just a plan old mess from the start. 2. His foreign affairs agenda especially dealing with terrorist groups and the exchange of prisoners for one soldiers, and also including Benghazi and the withdrawal of American troops in Iraq. 3. He made the government debt grow bigger than he took the office 8 years ago. That means paying more taxes. For me the foreign affairs is the one that concerns me the most, especially in the Middle East. 1. So a 30% reduction in the number of uninsured is a bad thing? Uninsured rate has dropped from roughly 18% to 11%. Morally, its the right thing to do, it's disgusting to think there is anyone in this country without basic health coverage. Economically, it saves tax payers money, you do realize it costs more to pay for uninsured medical expenses than it costs to give subsidized coverage. 2. Why the hell are we even in the middle east, why don't we stop being the world police with the badass military and focus that energy internally on issue like education, poverty and healthcare (Yes it can be better like 100% subsidized better). 3. Your wrong, the deficit as a percentage of GDP has decreased every year since 2009. See http://www.cbo.gov/publication/49973 Ever heard of the phrase "peace through strength" I know PF would like this quote because I am referring to a Reagan speech. 1. we are in the middle east because of oil. Thats the obvious answer, we wouldn't do most of our stuff without driving cars and instead sitting on horses like a lame duck. 2. We protect our own national interests thus respecting those who fight and serve abroad. Secondly, you do know that we have to pay that money back within a certain amount of time. Still waiting to hear your facts........

Hilary's running. Who else?
Also how does it put the government between you and your doctor when your buying insurance from a private insurer?

Hilary's running. Who else?
1. Show me the facts, and explain how the health care exchanges is socialism. 2. Isis is losing ground in iraq, let Iran finish them off. 3. See link from CBO. Deficit has decreased every year, facts are facts buddy. Where are the facts, you say you want a constructive debate yet all you bring me are opinions. http://www.cbo.gov/sites/default/files/cbofiles/images/pubs-images/49xxx/49973-home-fig1.png

Hilary's running. Who else?
Why not? What has Obama done that has negatively impacted the general public?

Hilary's running. Who else?
Sure I can elaborate, 8 more years of Obama would be awesome.

Hilary's running. Who else?
Obama 2.0 would be awesome.

Hilary's running. Who else?
Doesn't matter who you support, Hillary is going to win. The only chances you have of beating her is if fatty mcdbag (Chris Christie) runs. Although while he is the most electable republican, his policies would prevent him from gaining a second term unless he gets lucky and a major natural disaster hits america during his presidency.

Hilary's running. Who else?

Attacks in Paris
Yea that statement is completely messed up. Islam is a religion not a terrorist organization. Please prove that to me. Every day I hear about terrorist attacks in the name of who? Oh yes... Islam. Why? Because the victims would not live the way their killers decided they should live. It's too much of a risk to not call it like it is, any longer. You know if you lived during the Spanish Inquisition you would probably think Catholicism was a terrorist organization as well.
