The problem is that bombing the crap out of ISIS won't solve the problem. The West needs to rediscover something worth fighting for. Well bombing Isis is more legit than supporting dictators, occupation and forcing democracies through bombs...literally, dont you think? We seem to think along the same lines. I always thought Bush's invasion of Iraq was dumb, and destabilising Syria, Egypt, Libya, etc was one of the many colossal errors of the Obama administration.

over the past 300 years, totalitarianism has ravaged practically every nation on the continent (where the Endarkenment flowered), whereas the UK, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand have a centuries old democratic tradition. give that some thought.

Coming from an Islamosceptic (I just coined a word!) that German-Iranian 18-year-old who shot up the kids at the McDonalds sounds like he genuinely was mentally ill and had been bullied. He had a book on high school shootouts in his bag and had no ties with ISIS. But it's undeniable that there is a pattern of Islamic terrorism. My first thought when I hear there has been a terrorist attack in Germany is not the Amish or a Mormon suicide bomber collective.
