[BA-11] A Dance with Dragons - SK Wins
Excited to get a brewers game that doesn't start with a bunch of inactive people. Hopefully this will be a good one. Vote: Rafay

[BA-11] A Dance with Dragons Mafia Sign Ups
TW is never starting his game. Idk why brewers jumped you, but just make sure you have your setup done and ready to go, close sign ups, and send people role PMs once it's obvious that Kevin's game is close to done. Otherwise MK will jump you too lol.

That's fair, I could have changed his action just to avoid punishing the rest of town, but I couldn't decide how to handle it until the very end of the night (I messaged back a few times hoping he'd change his mind, which of course didn't happen), and I didn't feel like I had any experienced mods to ask for advice since they were all playing my game. I don't agree with banning people who want to play and are active, but harassing someone you don't like over multiple games crossed a line for me that I didn't expect to face until it had already happened.

[LW-01] - Dark Souls 3 - MAFIA WINS
Congrats to brewers, captainjf, and Wolfpacks on one of the first mafia wins I think I've seen where all three mafia lived to the end. All three played really well from my perspective. The one thing I'm sure everyone wants to know is the setup: it's Vengecop. Up until brewers' election game, we'd had almost exclusively role madness games since I've been playing, and I wanted to push back on that by building a game that would genuinely test IRON's player base. Vengecop felt like it struck the perfect balance of being as close to vanilla as I could get without being fully vanilla, but the vengeful cop action gave it a little twist. The biggest trick I had to solve was figuring out how to make it a closed setup without giving either side an advantage, since if I told everyone in the town that they were vengeful cops, they would be able to play most of the game with crucial information that mafia didn't have. That's why everyone in this game is told that they're vanilla, and the town are all told that they have a hidden action, which is revealed as the vengeful cop action when they are lynched. It basically forced everyone to play a bland vanilla game, but also secretly rewarded town for lynching. This is also part of the reason why I took away deadline half-majority; I wanted town to earn their lynch reward. Most of the game should hopefully make sense now since most of it went pretty by-the-book, but I'm sure there's one more thing everyone will wonder about: what happened to Robert's N1 investigation? In short, I made a mod decision to block his action. He asked to investigate brewers, which obviously would have been a good call and would have shifted the game heavily towards town, but he made a comment in his PM about how he was doing it because brewers "would deserve it". In context, Robert had investigated brewers for three straight game days in MK's game (plus voted for him a couple times), voted to lynch brewers in my game, and was actively pushing to get brewers lynched in Kevin's newly-started game because he "wanted to pop brewers' lynch cherry." It felt like it was breaking the spirit of the game - he didn't have any legitimate in-game reason to investigate brewers, he just held some sort of grudge and wanted to see him lose a game. So I just blocked his action. I was hoping it wouldn't influence the game too much since it was already so vanilla, and I hope I made the right call to keep the game light and enjoyable for everyone, but I'd understand if people are upset. Regardless, I had a lot of fun modding my first game. It went almost exactly how I hoped it would go, although I wish town had caught at least one mafia and given themselves a better chance to win. Hopefully everyone else enjoyed the game too

[LW-01] - Dark Souls 3 - MAFIA WINS
Few linkers of the flame could say that they had faced a more perilous journey. None had needed the souls of lords who themselves had already linked the flame before. None had arisen in the body of a soul who had tried to link the flame but failed. None had lived in a world built around a cycle that was destined to never be broken. An age of dark; was it even possible? It seemed that so much was required by the fire to be linked now, and yet somehow it could not fade. A soul powerful enough to link the flame seemed to always exist, and nothing prevented them from fulfilling their duty, even refusal to do so. Is this the destiny of mankind? To link a flame without ever knowing why? To simply be used to create a more powerful soul? It must have an end, but yet...maybe it must not. Destiny is a strange thing. All of humanity has its own free will, with the power to control their every action, and yet somehow they still seem to do exactly what is meant of them, even if it is not their wish. The flame is an unending paradox, and the world will only know more ruin in fire. The Unkindled, with the help of its loyal servants, has linked the fire. Mafia wins!

[LW-01] - Dark Souls 3 - MAFIA WINS
The Unkindled had not yet faced a true Lord of Cinder, four more of which would need to sacrifice themselves to link the flame once more. The first one on his journey was a soul that seemed to have been warped by its exposure to the abyss it warred against. In fact, when the Unkindled entered the arena at the end of the keep, he found a Watcher plunging its sword into another Watcher. Immediately, the final remaining Watcher focused squarely on the Unkindled, and engaged in a brutal fight. Battles against Lords of Cinder surely wouldn’t be easy, but nothing could prepare the Unkindled for what he would see next: another Watcher, rising from the mountain of dead Watchers, attacked from the flank. Shortly after, yet another Watcher arose; however, this one’s eyes glowed a bright red, as if it had been overtaken by the Abyss it fought so many lifetimes defeating. Rather than attacking the Unkindled, it turned its gaze towards the two Watchers, slicing through one of them from behind, almost doing the Unkindled’s job for him. The Watchers tore themselves apart, each one killing another, and yet rising again to continue the fight once more. Finally a strike seemed to finish the fight, as all Watchers collapsed. Yet one rose once more, this time fully embered, and fought alone. The souls had returned to a sole Watcher with its full power. In truth, the Watchers never stood a chance in defending their Lord soul, nor did any other Lord of Cinder. The Unkindled had a sort of unstoppable force, as if fate itself had always destined things to end this way. Linking the fire was inevitable, and the Watchers were merely a step on the path. KevinH, The Abyss Watchers, a Vanilla Townie, has been lynched on Day 4.

The Unkindled was on a warpath through Lothric, and there was little standing between him and the prince upon the top of the castle. Why was the Unkindled so dead-set on linking the flame? It was a pointless endeavour; so many had linked it in the past, and the prince had even once been told he was destined to perform the ritual, before he informed his priestess that he would be refusing his duty. Of course she was not pleased, but of what importance was that? The priest could not hide in his castle forever though, and would need to make an announcement to the rest of the castle of the present danger posed to everyone’s safety. Lyner is aligned with the Town. After defeating the consumed king, the Unkindled discovered a hidden gesture that, upon its use in a special location, transported him to a hidden, almost mythical world that seemed to be in the mountains beyond the clouds. It was clearly a home for dragons, as they roamed the lands in many forms. There was a monstrous ancient wyvern guarding the entrance to a great mausoleum, and little serpent-men that reminded the Unkindled of priests back in Lothric. Deep in the mausoleum, the Unkindled found a great bell, which he cautiously tolled. The world seemed to evolve, with a great cloud covering the land he had previously explored. From the sky flew another wyvern, except this one carried a rider who commanded great bolts of lightning. The wyvern was a monster in its own right, launching waves of fire that covered dozens of metres of space. It took nearly an hour to evade the dragon long enough to strike a death blow underneath its head, and the Unkindled was shocked to see the rider drive his sword through the dragon’s throat to finish off the deed. The man who had been riding the wyvern had no known name, but he commanded a presence unlike any mortal back in Lothric. It was almost as if this man was no human, but possibly a god, or maybe a descendent of one. He flew breathlessly across the great arena, sending blasts of lightning where the Unkindled stood. If the wyvern seemed an impossible task, this nameless man was somehow doubly so. Eventually the Unkindled made the fateful dodge that evaded a blast of lightning and landed him right behind his foe, where he stuck his blade through the man and ended the fight. The Warrior, Nameless King, a Vanilla Townie, has been killed on Night 3.

Lothric Castle held many secrets, and few were more curious than that of Oceiros, once the King of Lothric, now exiled in the garden below the castle. There were numerous rumours about the former king; perhaps the king had become a prisoner after the death of his wife and young child, or even possibly he was simply dead. However, there had been truly haunting stories that, in his madness, he had discovered the twisted worship of the paledrake Seath the Scaleless. Sadly, the truth was indeed the worst possibility. As the Unkindled the shrine, he met a horrible, twisted beast that could no longer even be called a man. The consumed king was a horrific monster, something resembling a dragon in the shape of what Seath was rumoured to look like, but twisted. "Ahh, you ignorant slaves. Finally taken notice have you?Of the power of my beloved Ocelotte, child of dragons. Well, I will not give him up.For he is all that I have." Oceiros seemed to clutch an invisible child for a period of the fight, as if he did not realize that it had died many years ago. What a painful way to live; this was a mercy kill, the Unkindled told himself. As the fight dragged on, Oceiros became more unstable and beast-like, eventually ceasing all speech, and leaping across the shrine on all fours. The consumed king managed to land a few dragon-claw swipes, but ultimately fell relatively swiftly. Torres951, "Oceiros, the Consumed King", a Vanilla Townie, has been lynched on Day 3. It is now Night. Please submit actions by Saturday, 1/9, at 8AM CST.

The Lords were becoming distressed. None had directly fallen, but many loyal servants to the cause were being methodically eliminated by the Unkindled. The death of Sister Friede, in the Painted World that had been so carefully crafted, was especially frightening, as her world was considered impenetrable. Was Lothric Castle safe? One Lord was not so sure. He retreated to his cathedral in Anor Londo, desperate to find another god which he could devour and satiate his fury. He dispatched messengers across the land, warning of a great peril that could befall the world should the great Saint be destroyed. Maybe revealing his identity, his necessity to the cause, would help rally those of the world against the Unkindled. He could only try. Lord MK is aligned with the Town. Meanwhile, the Unkindled was arriving in Irithyll, a great city on the footsteps of Anor Londo. The Unkindled was seeking out a Lord of Cinder, but would need to get through one of his most loyal servants first: Pontiff Sulyvahn. The Pontiff controlled the city with an iron grip, and while it was well-known that he had defeated the Darkmoon Gwyndolin upon taking over the city, there were rumours that he had fed Gwyndolin to Saint Aldrich himself. The Pontiff’s influence reached far and wide, commanding outrider knights across the valley and even at the gates of Lothric. Sulyvahn was one of the most fearsome defenders of Lords that the Unkindled would face. Truly, the fight was brutal. Sulyvahn was relentless, and his mastery of both the profaned flame as well as magic were unparalleled. He seemed to effortlessly glide across the chapel in a simple motion, always keeping the Unkindled on his toes, rolling side to side. A few minutes into the fight, though, the Unkindled started recognizing the Pontiff’s broad swings, and realized a few that were parryable. This improved the Unkindled’s odds tremendously, and while the Pontiff’s clone raised the difficulty again towards its conclusion, it did not prevent the inevitable: the Unkindled seemingly could not be stopped in his quest to defeat the four Lords and reignite the flame. Dontavian, Pontiff Sulyvahn, a Vanilla Townie, has been killed on Night 2.

Torres is self explanatory lol, saying I'm the obvious lynch choice and then a few posts later voting no lynch because there's not a real reason to vote for me. Plus whatever bit he's running with about harassing MK. It's Torres so it's probably him being dumb as a bit, but it's still a little suspicious imo. I had a post or two a few pages back about why I thought Velocity was a little suspicious, but basically it boils down to him saying I'm the best lynch candidate, and then not really having a good response when pressed why other than saying he thought it'd look suspicious to start a new lynch train instead of just going along with me. Could be nothing but it seemed a little odd.
