[VL-02-2] Dark Souls: Prepare To Die
It's not looking promising, but I'll play if you can get enough people.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
I have a feeling that discord day talk is incredibly OP, especially with four experienced players who are active on discord. If we keep doing it that way, I almost wonder if mods shouldn't start balancing games to be more inherently pro town (or at least anti mafia), because I think it'd be difficult for them to compete when mafia can spend a whole day quickly strategizing in real time. Thanks for the info though Preston, that's really interesting. Hopefully we keep getting more active games like this.

Pretty abysmal game for town. Idk how Robert wasn't more obvious to everyone except me and MK (and probably brewers but I think he was trying to play around Robert more), but that's how it goes sometimes. Honestly Preston was the best scum because his insanely long posts were a really smart way to say things that never amounted to much but felt pro town anyway. Lyner did his usual act of only saying enough to fly under the radar, idk how he keeps getting away with it but it's honestly impressive at this point lol. GG, glad IRON mafia was back for a short time at least.

Bah! Also screw jazzy. That is all

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
I don't want to name claim yet because I don't want to narrow down who scum should target one way or the other. I'll name claim when it becomes relevant, possibly tomorrow depending on how this lynch + night goes.

Thor is not an infinity stone holder, so he could definitely be a safe claim. Also yes, I'm the cop. N1 I investigated Zacch and got Not Guilty. N2 I investigated Jazzy and got No Result, so whoever is the role blocker, if you're town aligned, please don't block me again lol. I could've saved or confirmed jazzy if you hadn't done that.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Welp lol, that sucks. I mean it's possible that jazzy is a mafia role cop since I think that's reasonably common. I guess we'll find out in a few hours.

What evidence is that? If you're town and have something that could at least clear some townies for us, that would be really helpful. I find this to be an extremely odd vote. The first half of the day was spent on people saying "IF Velocity is scum, then Jazzy is likely scum too" and yet once town believes Velocity is safe, I become the primary target? Your first order logic is broken I don't think I ever said that? I thought you were suspicious because of how you tried to avoid putting your vote out there and then snuck in on the back of the Kevin wagon towards the end of the day, which felt a lot like what scum would do. I had my vote on Robert for most of the day though, and had been fairly consistent that I thought Velocity was suspicious but not my top target. So when it became clear that the choice was probably going to be between Velocity - someone who became an all but confirmed townie - and you, I switched to you. Not sure how that squares at all with what you're alleging happened.

@TW would you mind prodding Jazzy? He probably doesn't have enough time to save himself anymore but it would be nice to at least hear from him before he dies.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
i-understood-that-reference.gif Lets keep things civil. No need to launch personal attacks bacause of a game. Having gone through 3-pages of posts that I had to catch up on, one of the things that is striking me as massively odd is Zacch's claim that he submitted an action and Mod did not reply. If he was role blocked I think he would get a no result reply as well, the action is not going to go into a void. I didn't mean it as a personal attack, but in hindsight I can see how it might come across like that, and I apologize if that's how he or anyone took it. I meant it more like it would be an extremely dumb play, but not because of his IRL intelligence or anything like that. Also, there can be roles that have actions but don't get results from the mod, right? Like, if Zacch was the role blocker (which is obviously very unlikely since he's doubted the veracity of a claim of Velocity being role blocked so much), and he chose to role block someone, would the mod give him any sort of result for his action? They would acknowledge the action, which Zacch claimed TW did, but I don't think the mod usually tells the player that their action was successful or stopped somehow. It's been a little while since I played though, so I'm still a little rusty and might not be remembering correctly.

Just a reminder that jazzy is now at L-1, meaning one more vote and he's immediately lynched which will end the day early. I would really like him to at least have a chance to defend himself before someone drops the hammer.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Omg dude, I'm on mobile so I don't feel like quoting it, but he classified it later to be exactly what I said. Also you voting for Velocity shouldn't work because jazzy hit 4 votes first, but if it does and he flips town as his claimed role, you should consider yourself a massive idiot for wasting our lynch today. I think you are going to have a lot to learn and rethink once the game is over and you learn the setup with everyone's confirmed roles. *clarified not classified. I hate auto complete lol
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
@Zacch Yeah dude we don't know your claimed role, so how are we supposed to explain anything that would make sense to you? All we know is that Velocity was blocked somehow from watching brewers (the "No Result" on N1 vs "Did not detect action" on N2 confirms this), so he wouldn't have seen you or anyone else visit brewers that night. I have no idea how that squares with whatever you did because you're being extremely defensive about the limited information you've already shared. At this point, I want jazzy to get on soon and attempt to defend himself, since he's currently going to be lynched tomorrow.
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
you never said that lol so youre not investigative. you could be protective, or a blocker of some sorts... while I dont usually like to ask people to role claim if its not needed, you have created a TON of confusion and it might be best for u just to fully claim so we can try to make sense of what u are saying What I'm saying is pretty clear, if Velocity is a watcher, then he should have seen me visit brewers on night 1. I am not yet at risk of being voted off during the day, so it does not make sense to claim my role. If things change and I have the most votes, then I will role claim. Velocity couldn't have seen you visit brewers if he was role blocked, which seems likely. I don't have a problem with you not role claiming for now. We don't want to out people who might have infinity stones for no reason since that's who scum will target. I will say that if you think claiming would meaningfully benefit town, especially if it makes it easier to catch scum or save a townie, then you should do it, but that's your decision to make.

FYI, jazzy is at 3 votes with Velocity, me, and Imran

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Yes, ascetic is immune to all night actions except kills. I don't think I've ever seen it in a game since I started playing but brewers could be that.
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Just because the wiki says that it should be clear doesn't mean that TW would definitely follow that guidance. I'm trying to recall an example but I feel like TW has done games where he gives ambiguous results when an action is blocked instead of simply returning no results, and I'm positive that some mods have done it that way instead of telling players the difference. If Zacch also got no result (assuming that's what he means by null), then it seems like brewers was probably jailed. There are other explanations - maybe you were role blocked and so Zacch saw nothing - but a jail keeper seems most likely, especially if it was targeted on brewers D1 since he's usually such a big target early.
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
I know Velocity is scum, because I targeted Brewers night 1 with my town role. This may also be me misunderstanding what a watcher can actually see, someone please explain and I will either reinforce my claim or withdraw it. https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Watcher So if he is a watcher, then he should have seen you visit brewers, assuming that both claims are legit and there is no other funkiness at play.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Lol uhh...please elaborate? That could mean a lot of things.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Agreed. We need to pick another lynch for the day. There's zero reason to waste a lynch on Velocity and give town an extra kill at night. I still think Robert is the most suspicious, but I think jazzy is a good candidate too given what we know. Actually, I'll just put my money where my mouth is to try to save someone I think is almost certainly town. Vote: Jazzy
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Also I agree with brewers. If you have something useful to claim, especially if it's information for town, there's zero reason not to claim it now, if for no other reason than to help us out post lynch. The only reason I can imagine to not claim something is if it's something that only activates either after death or after a certain day, since you'd have no information and scum would be able to avoid it.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
The whole "giving up" act ("I've said all I need to say", etc) has me split. I feel like sometimes, townies will do that when they know they're going to be mislynched and simply don't care enough to fight it, but also scum will do it sometimes because people assume that scum surely wouldn't just get lynched without putting up a fight. Idk, it doesn't move the needle for me on Velocity. I will say that "something is off about jazzy" is not remotely good enough for me. That doesn't mean anything, you could say that about literally anyone. Heck iSoc 2.0 said it about me and I think Preston has been right to push on that. I am not convinced that Velocity is scum because of this - I'd like to think that he's a better player than the kind who would lamely attempt to bus his own partner as a way to make him seem less scummy after Velocity flips - but if he does flip scum then I completely agree that it makes jazzy even more suspicious.
-
[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
I'd like to point out that Velocity is now comfortably over the minimum votes needed to be lynched, and he's a good player so I'm sure he was aware of that when he last posted. Not only is he not really defending himself anymore, but he also tossed a vote on jazzy (without much effort into convincing anyone to go along with it) which doesn't help his cause at all. If he's town and any sort of power role, this is a horrible strategy, and if he's scum at all, it's also a horrible strategy. My best guess is that he's either VT (probably most likely), joker, or some niche role that gets an ability if lynched. Either way, I think it's worth noting how Velocity is playing out the end of this day since it seems likely that he's going to be lynched unless something significant changes.

[TW-13] Avengers: Infinity War Mafia - Mafia Wins
Pushing for lynches in general is not a scum thing to do. We have to lynch scum, it's legitimately the only guaranteed way that town can win the game. Sometimes there can be vigilantes or other town killing roles, but we have no idea if they exist in this game at all, and we certainly can't expect them to kill off the entire scum team for us even if they did. So, in general, I think it's a bad idea to FoS people just because they pushed for lynches generally. Now, pushing to get townies lynched is generally something that town should find more suspicious because that is beneficial to scum, but town doesn't have a sure fire way of knowing if someone is town or not before lynching them, so it's not a guarantee that someone who lynches a townie is scum. In fact, oftentimes scum will avoid lynching a townie because of the fact that people will be suspected over having done that, so sometimes it's the people off of wagons that should be sussed out as much as the ones on them. Also, I unvoted for Velocity on D1 because I didn't think he was being scummy and I didn't want him to be my lol vote for D1. I said that I would vote for an inactive, but the Tony situation happened right after that IIRC, and by the time that got sorted out, I didn't get to log back to post a vote in before the day ended. I think it should be obvious that I would have voted for an inactive though. Lastly, I'm not on a team with brewers lol. Usually if anything, mafia will try to do different things throughout the early to mid game to avoid looking like they're obviously working together, and even if I'm not smart enough to do that (although I'd like to think I am), I guarantee that brewers is. He and I just play fairly similarly - we tend to have similar reads, and we like to push for wagons pretty hard - so it seems like we've ended up on the same people the last few days. Idk if he's following me because he's scum and wants to stick to a townie to be more believably town, but I haven't gotten that sense, and I know that I'm town so obviously I'm not doing that lol.

I don't want to disrespect Velocity, he is a lot better than a troll like MK gives him credit for, but he's not the best scum player in IRON mafia. Tbh that's probably TW, followed by maybe brewers and a few other people not in this game. A few other things: 1. Assuming you're town, you're almost certainly still around because your inexperience has already led to a few things that make you come off as potentially scummy, and mafia will always try to leave people like that alive because they want town to mislynch suspicious players like we did with Kevin. Also since you're new, you're probably a bit less likely to convince the town to go for a wagon that you start, so your scattered voting is likely less risky to them. 2. It actually is a fair point that brewers hasn't been night killed yet, but as others have pointed out, it does seem like mafia is aiming for inactives, most likely to avoid being tracked. Brewers is traditionally one of the most watched/investigated/etc players because of who he is and how he plays, so it's very possible that mafia is just trying to avoid him at night and hope that he gets lynched during the day.
