Hey guys, some old faces here

Damn, i miss IRON... anyway, stopped by to send some news

So, since i left, i graduated in med (las december) and came to Manaus, a big city in the middle of the rainforest, were i am serving as doc for the Army`s aviation 4th Batallion

Muito da hora Mech, boa sorte aí!

Mech, didn't you go to Med School?! Also HEY! Also, why join the military (if you don't mind me asking)?

Mech, those pictures are awesome!

Hey guys

Yes, i graduated last december. Geez, 1 year already.

Here in Brazil medics may be called to serve the army once they graduate. I volunteared, so i`m serving as Army`s medic in the 4th Army`s Aviation Batallion

We are stationed in Manaus, in the middle of the rainforest, and we act as MedEvac too, thus i be trained to rapelling and this kind of stuff (but when i can, i do it for the fun too )

Also, this temporary service can go for the minimum of 1 year up to 8.

But i`m leaving the army, unless i am sent to Haiti with the UN forces (i volunteered for that, to spend 6 months there, but dunno if they will send me)

http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o290/mechbr/DSC_00302.jpg

these are my BDU patches, the two small ones are in my neck, one is my rank, the star is for "cadet", after 6 months you become 2nd Lt (what i am now), and use a different star, the other is my "weapon", i use the army`s medic symbol (could be cavalry, infantary, engeneering, etc..)

the middle one is my battalion`s symbol, i use it in my cap, the other is the brasilian flag, that goes on my shoulder

The army doc`s symbol became a tattoo

That is a manufacturer not a class, and describes at least 15 classes, none of which that boat belongs to.

Remind me not to get on the wrong side of you, I'm ok not getting air-rifled! Your poor dog looks terrified! Gotta love a black lab though.

Epic photo! Is there any particular reason you still jump with dome canvases rather than rectangle?

Low level chute deployment training. The returangle ones you speak of have a greater chance of snaging tree branches and whatnot, also less control at a low jump.
