7v3 would be the same as 5v2 in that 2 mislynches will lose if the mafia succeeds with night-kills.What makes you think the town has to act faster in a 5vs2 set up when compared to, for example, a 7 vs 3 set up?
One extra player making a total of eleven makes a difference and allows an extra mislynch before the town loses.
5v2:
Day 1: mislynch
Night 1: kill
Day 2: mislynch --> game over
8v3:
Day 1: mislynch
Night 1: kill
Day 2: mislynch
Night 2: kill
Day 3: mislynch --> game over

I'm changing my voting choice to Martino to get at least one of us to two votes.
Vote: Martino
You voted for KevinH first.
But you didn't properly unvote.
Then you voted for Martino.
So I don't think your vote on Martino is valid.
Any particular reason for picking Martino?

Day 1: no-lynch
Night 1: kill
Day 2: mislynch
Night 2: kill --> game over
We're in the endgame already.

vote: Martino ~ Thanks CD, I'm a little rusty.
The reason for the vote on Martino was to get someone to two votes to see what would happen. He was the only person that I had any real experience in dealing with and felt I could better judge the results than if I had picked someone I was not familiar with.

If we don't lynch today:
Day 1: no-lynch
Night 1: kill
Day 2: mislynch
Night 2: kill --> game over
We're in the endgame already.
If we lynch somebody and mislynch everytime:
Day 1: 5:2
Day 2: 3:2
Day 3: 1:2 (Game Over)
If we don't lynch and mislynch everytime:
Day 1: 5:2
Day 2: 4:2
Day 3: 2:2 (Game Over)
So for me it's better to lynch somebody because it's easier if there are less people (i think)

So what you are saying is that we should lynch because we will lose when we mislynch twice? Now, I agree with lynching. But I still don't see the difference between this game and another one in that respect.7v3 would be the same as 5v2 in that 2 mislynches will lose if the mafia succeeds with night-kills.

5v2:

Night 1: kill
Day 2: mislynch
Night 2: kill
Day 3: mislynch --> game over

I believe it is far too early to get someone to 2 votes just to prevent a no lynch. We still have a few days.

And what are your feelings so far?

I would have to agree with Martino on this one. We have 3 days left (including today). I generally don't see much panicking until it's closer to deadline.
BTW...I won't be as active on Thursday and Friday. I have those days off to prepare for my daughter's birthday on Saturday. So I'll be busy. I'll try to sneak some time in to catch up (most likely during the night).

So what you are saying is that we should lynch because we will lose when we mislynch twice?
In other games with more players, an argument can be made to let the cop do his work and improve the odds when lynching. With only two mislynches to give, we can't afford the wait.
I think it's better to lynch and hope to get lucky rather than let the scum pick off a few townies.

Well, not lynching twice would get us to 3 townies and 2 scum. So we could still make it to D3 that way, but I suppose you mean that you don't want to no lynch into a Lylo situation. In other games with more players, an argument can be made to let the cop do his work and improve the odds when lynching. not lynching twice would get us ... to D3
There's the case for no-lynch!
(I will still vote to lynch on D1)

Well, that was more or less my point. Are you voting for a lynch because we would otherwise be forced to a Lylo situation where there is no information at all? Or is there another reason.Let me twist your words ...

Currently that would be Martino (the only one with 2 votes).

However, I was just wondering what exactly made KevinH decide to go for a lynch this time around.

Let me make it very clear that I am not saying we should go for a no lynch. I'm only in favor of a no lynch in an endgame situation with an even number of players.
However, I was just wondering what exactly made KevinH decide to go for a lynch this time around.
Yeah...I understood what you meant.
KevinH did that last game too (he turned out to be townie).
So I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

The cop would get 2 investigations so it's more than no information but no, there is no other reason.
Pinky of Suspicion to KevinH.
OMGUS. Why?
It's never too early to apply pressure, I'm trying to get the most impact with the least amount of posts. I'll be watching.
I think that post is oxymoronic.
