Still not entirely trusting E-M, I went through this list to see whether we aren't being manipulated, and I came across something else
...
So my conclusion so far: the list E-M made contains no lies, but it is also not entirely complete. However, running through this, I have a strong FOS towards ccabal86.

Objectively speaking, I dont see either of the two statements you quote as being THAT suspicious. The initial bandwagon on Kevin (who is all but proven town at this point) was abnormal and DID feel like there might have been a scum or two contributing to it to try and push for a quick lynch before people realized what was happening. I remarked on it during day 1 as a reason I initially thought KevinH town. The second quote was prior to d3mon becoming active and seems to boil down to little more than a no to the idea of no-lynch.

Your FOS on ccabal is worth noting as it's coming from one of our few confirmed townies, but I don't find these two specific reasons compelling.

Welcome! And I'm impressed/glad to see you've been following the game to date; that should speed things up a bit, and we're low on time this week. I know you withdrew your FOS after your first post that I'm quoting here, but would you please share your thoughts on what you thought ccabal did that was more scummy than CD or cao cao?

If I think someone is mafia (like I did with d3mon) then that is whom I will vote for.

@Preston - the reason I keep saying that is that everyone should vote who they think is mafia. If that vote happens to be on me...it would not be a big loss since the town will not lose a townie power role. Of course it would be better to lynch mafia instead.

I have a difficult time wrapping my head around the wisdom of just accepting a mis-lynch, but then I'm not one of the trio in the hot seat. We can ill afford too many more mis-lynches; one more and we're at lynch or lose, so for the town's sake we would not benefit from mis-lynching you if you truly are town. I know there's only so much you can say at this point, and people genuinely SHOULD vote for who they think is scum... but offering yourself up as a sacrifice with ready-made deniability for scum voting on you is not necessarily a good thing.

If anything cao cao is inactive so at least we will not lose much if he is indeed town

On Day 1 I initially was leaning towards lynching inactives for precisely this reason, but stopped when available replacements were pointed out (those should be in the OP of the game thread...). If we do not have any more replacements waiting in the wings AND cao cao idles out as a townie (instead of scum), then would that make TODAY lynch or lose? I don't like the idea of that. EM asked for a prod on cao cao which will be beneficial, but pending cao cao returning and defending himself OR mole/someone confirming we have a third replacement available (I dont see one?) cao cao will have my vote.

There's also the fact that this idea is being forwarded by a 100% confirmed (by death) townie, which means it has no chance of being scum protecting scum... and at this point we need every advantage we can get.

Seriously... this is just weird. Either you have a pretty warped sense of humour (which I could appreciate), or you are scum and trying to make it so obvious that we'd all think that no scum would be so stupid, so therefore you cannot actually be scum... despite being it.

Ok, here is my ranking of the scummiest people from my POV.
1. Narsis / AKCPLUTO - To me it seems like posting who you think the scum are with no room for error early on the first day and continuing to stand by it is a very, very strange scummy idea. Especially since he got it wrong! I would vote for AKC, but I want to give him a chance to play.
2. ccabal86 - He was the first person to vote for d3mon even before any serious accusations. He never removed
his vote throughout day 1. He never explained why he voted for d3mon. And as EM said already nerau was night killed after voting for ccabal86.
Tied for 2.CD - CD repeatedly said that he didn't want to lynch n00bs on day 1 one, but still continued to question d3mon's actions throughout day 1 leading to d3mon's lynch. CD is playing an active role if he is scum or townie as he claims.
4. KevinH- I have a weird feeling about him. He voted for a no lynch on the first day, even though hypothetically lynching someone would be the better option for the town. (It didn't turn out that way for us unfortunately) He also said he wants to lynch the inactives. That seems to me like a waste of a lynch cause if they aren't playing the game they have no threat to the town.
5. Cao Cao- He made a lot of n00b mistakes on the first day, but he seems to be inactive and not hurting or helping the town. I think we should see how the prod on him goes before we lynch him.

Interesting takes. Narsis I can see but why Kevin? He was very adamant about not lynching demon. Are you writing that off as a clever scum ploy?

I did see that Kevin defended d3mon and that is why he is lower on my list.

I may have registered in 2009, but this is only my 5th game actually. It took me a while to become aware of mafia. Yes, editing that post wasn't the best idea ever, but as I recall, it was very late and I was quite tired - never realized my mistake untill after it happened. But as mole stated, the game hasn't started yet at that time, and as such game rules didn't apply.

As for the quotes, I don't see how they can seem manipulative. In the first one, I merely stated the fact that a quick lynch is not in the town's interest wich I don't think anyone can disagree with. I truly believed there was a risk scum may take advantage of the initial bandwagoning on Kevin and end the day with a quick lynch stripping us from the discussion. Town needs all the discussion time it can get, otherswise, we it can't win.

In the second quote I'm arguing for a Day 1 lynch - nothing more, nothing less. Last time I was supporting Day 1 no-lynch, which did happen in the end, and I believe it turned out to be bad strategy. My role turned out to be borderline useless and it's a small miracle we actually lynched a scum based on CD's report, as several others were moving as well.

So there is nothing strange about you first arguing AGAINST a lynch, and then for a lynch?

I have an opinion on your thoughts on ccabal but I'd like him to reply 1st.

And yes, this game is very fun. It's my favorite thing to do and without it I would be very inactive. I love figuring out a good mystery and I love it when we get new players. Keep coming back!
