Reign of terror is behaving suspiciously. He must be scum!

To be fair, this is just Kevin being Kevin. Keep playing mafia with us and you'll understand :). He marches to the beat of his own drum and besides TC is my other most trusted townie.

Mega Catch-Up VOTE COUNT
CaoCao (3): Electric Mango, CanucksDynasty, CaoCao
CanucksDynasty (1): ccabal86

He never explained why he voted for d3mon.

Not true. I explained my d3mon vote here:

...
1, I did not "bandwagon" onto d3mon, in fact, it was the very first vote on him. My vote was the same vote I placed on him jokingly, but as he acted more and more suspicious (at least from my point of view), i became more and more convinced that my vote was well placed.
...

So there is nothing strange about you first arguing AGAINST a lynch, and then for a lynch?

I was arguing against a QUICK lynch, not a lynch altogether. Big difference.

Ok, I will trust you on that. @ccabal86 I am so sorry, I didn't see that post! My mistake!

That's good to shake people down like that though. It's good to see how people react under pressure. CD is really good at playing the bad cop but seemed to lose his wind coming into Day 2. Not his normal behavior which makes me a little more suspicious of him

Anyway, keep up the aggressive style. Voting also can turn up the heat real quick. It not only pressures our must suspicios players but also forces people to cement their position and not sit on the fence being wushu washy.

Ok, I want to know why EM, CD and Preston think voting out an inactive (Cao Cao) will further the town in any way.

I think that whether he's active or inactive, he's the most suspicious out of everyone. Reasons are as follows:

Placed 4th vote on Kevin - probable townie

FOSd TC - Lifeguard

FOSd Kevin later that day

Voted d3mon - Security Guard

No one else has a worse track record.

I agree that that is a bad track record, but personally I think most of those are newbie mistakes.

I keep forgetting that I have to explain my jokes here.

Since Reign of Terror didn't even know his own alignment, it would be tough to be either pro-town or pro-scum. I don't really think he is suspicious.

With everything else being equal, lynching the inactive means that an active player survives to help the town in the next day.

I liked EM's analysis of the case against Cao Cao. Cao Cao will get my vote unless somebody convinces me otherwise.

Quick lynch = votes piled so fast that a lynch occurs without much discussion. Harder to interrogate people.

Playing the game through my Blackberry Torch instead of work computer (they started to crack down). Much harder to review past posts and make long detailed analysis. Don't play at home lately.

No problem! :)

A quick lynch means we have less time for discussion, less time to figure out who is scum and who is not, less time to watch people how they react to certain things etc... I argued FOR a lynch, but only at the end of the day, when we've used up all the available time to make a decision.

Ok, I want to know why EM, CD and Preston think voting out an inactive (Cao Cao) will further the town in any way.

Kevin and EM have somewhat answered this, and I addressed it in my previous post - but I'll reiterate/expand my thoughts here.

CD and Cao Cao are my top 2 suspects at present - and while I dont have a STRONG suspicion on either, they are the three left on the list that voted for d3mon - aside from TC who is now confirmed town by using his role. CD and ccabal have at least had their say defending themselves, and cao cao is either lying low or genuinely inactive. I've put my vote on him to try and pressure him out if it's the former, and to prepare a lynch on him if it's the latter. EM's list helps solidify my position to where I may keep my vote on him even if he returns, but for the moment if cao cao DOES come back to remove the inactivity factor and give us something to examine, I'll unvote pending discussion on that.

Regarding lynching cao cao as an inactive: If we have no more replacements available and Cao Cao idles out so that his role is modkilled, it's like an extra lynch happens today and potentially gives us a double penalty if both he AND whomever else we lynch today turn out to be town. That double penalty could push us over the edge to lose the game TODAY : 11 started the game, -1 day1 lynch (d3mon), -1 night1 (nerau), -1 day2 lynch(if we mislynch today), -1 modkill/inactive(if cao cao idles out and is town), -1 night2 (night2) = 11 - 5 = 6 surviving players; which per the rules would mean scum win if all 3 are still alive. I'd appreciate a veteran verifying these numbers/that this WOULD constitute a game-over. If there are two scum on the list that voted for d3mon then this scenario is impossible, but if there's only one then this is a possibility.

At some point we need to just make a choice out of someone on that list and cross our fingers. Cao Cao has acted suspiciously enough that he's a good candidate, and if he's going to idle out I don't want to risk the game ending right there. If we lynch him, we both test a viable scum candidate and guard against a day 2 loss due to inactive/modkill.

I agree with Preston on this one. IF CaoCao idles out and there are no replacements, then (while stating who we would vote for if that wasn't the case) everyone should probably vote for him.

It would be very unfortunate if it came to this, inactivity is a big enough problem in this game as it is. I hope CaoCao can be reached or at least replaced with someone.

It wouldn't be a mod kill but if he's townie, that a vote that won't go on a scum. It shifts the odds ...

I don't want to lynch CD until the Canucks are eliminated!

I thought if someone went inactive and there was no replacement, they'd be removed from the game entirely - i.e. modkilled. Is that not the case? It'd make things a lot safer for us if so, but obviously the best case would be if cao cao actually returns and makes all of this moot...
