Well! This is interesting to see as I get back from work... though despite the upcoming deadline I dont see any new posts relevant to the day's debate, so my current thoughts are unchanged.

Welcome EM! So... what color are YOU going to pick if RoT has blue and mole has orange? :)

-Preston

Day 2 Vote count

(1) d3mon: Angel Cruz dela Sant

(1) KevinH: Beebs

(4) Angel Cruz dela Sant: d3mon, Kaziocore, Fighting Okra, KevinH

Not voting: Preston, ccabal86, Nerau, Tracker

As the day slowly turns into night, the crowd trapped inside the cafe turn their attention towards Angel Cruz dela Sant. Accusations fly back and forth but in the end no amount of talk can save him. The angry mob strings him up and watch as his body twitches as he dances with death. When he is finally still, they search his body and find a picture of his loving wife and kids.

Angel Cruz dela Sant, vanilla townie, is dead.

It is now night. Please have all night actions sent to me by Friday if not sooner.

Edited by Electric Mango

Morning breaks, birds chirp and the denizens of the cafe awake from their slumber. KevinH drinking his coffee and doing his crossword, Kaziocore doing his morning Yoga, CD rotting in the corner, and Tracker still twitching from being stabbed in the back and neck with various cooking utensils.

Tracker: Vanilla townie is dead.

Deadline is 2 weeks from today

Also Fighting Okra will be back posting by the end of the week.

Also Tracker did have a small power role but RoT did not specify what it was. I will check mafia wiki later today to see if I can find a matching role and will report back. Good luck and have fun.

Edit: checked wiki but couldn't find a role to match and I don't know how much of RoT wanted to divulge so I'll leave it at that.

I am back. So I guess I have some explaining to do for voting against Angel :( Well, the first reason was he voted D3mon just becasue D3mon voted for him, I thought it was needed becasue it could have allowed bandwagoners to jump on d3mon and vote him off. 2nd he was posting a lot while active. 3rd he was going inactive for a period of time.

I hate that I contributed to a Townie death, but I didn't have alot to go on, and I felt we needed to vote someone, so I went with what I had.

Edit to me previous post:

"Well, the first reason was he voted D3mon just becasue D3mon voted for him, I thought it was needed becasue it could have allowed bandwagoners to jump on d3mon and vote him off."

Should read, "Well, the first reason was he voted D3mon just becasue D3mon voted for him, I thought it wasn't needed becasue it could have allowed bandwagoners to jump on d3mon and vote him off."

A little surprised by their picking out Tracker - he'd been throwing suspicion around and I know I would have possibly lynched him today - or at least it would not have been hard to persuade me in that direction. Bad choice on their part I guess, in that they killed what would have been a good target for them today.

@EM: In past games, Mole has pasted the role name and that's it.

It makes a big difference knowing that Tracker had a role - either scum got lucky or they had some kind of a role cop per last game? The mods could be running the "roles survived last game" theme similar to last game; mafia won that one.

Hm.. 3 townies dead.. assuming that we have 3 scum, is it LYLO already ????

I think so - we have 8 total / 3 scum. If we mis-lynch today then there will be 7/3 - then if their nightkill is not blocked somehow it'll be 6/3 and that's game.

The good news is our doc (if any) is still hidden so we have a safety net of sorts... unless thats the role Tracker had, in which case it really is LYLO with no second chance.

Absent a cop or security guard reporting some more robust information, we all work with what we have. I cannot criticize your reasoning here - but you DID eventually vote for Angel. This applies to all four of those on the voting list, which at present is our only piece of solid information:

Angel Cruz dela Sant: d3mon, Kaziocore, Fighting Okra, KevinH

Unless someone has further information or another viewpoint that they can back up, I'm most likely going to pick my suspect from this list. It's thin, but I think we've got good odds at least one scum is in there.

-Preston

I'm leaning towards targeting someone who voted for Angel. We have been waiting all game to lynch someone with "solid" evidence. Today is really our first chance to make that happen. However, I am also quite interested, of course, in watching what people do with that information. I think it will be just as telling to make a list of where people's votes land after we discuss this as it will to take a look at the voters. Seeing as that hasn't happened yet I think our best place to start is with those who voted for our second newest dead body. D3mon seems to me to be pretty quiet, with positive but brief contributions. Unfortunately, I don't have many thoughts on him either way. I don't think he's done anything else particularity scummy, but I'd like to see if I am forgetting something or cutting him too much slack. At this point, not my number one candidate. Kaziocore, though taking issue to my brief roleplaying stint which I would like to try again at some point, seems relatively harmless. My biggest worry here is that he is playing too nice and hasn't been all that aggressive. Granted, he placed a vote that lead to the death of a townie, but without multiple scum on this vote it doesn't seem like he tried to orchestrate anything. Right now it seems like Angel's death was rather unfortunate not only because he was a townie, but because none of the discussion surrounding his death, to my memory (and I'll search past posts to confirm this), was very enlightening about who might be scum. Fighting Okra seems, like Kaziocore, to be relatively harmless. Again, they both seem to me to have big doughy eyes that I want to believe are townie, but I'm not so sure. I feel like I'm being lulled into a false sense of safety or township by them. KevinH I remain suspicious of. With dwindling numbers I think it is unwise to punch a vote at this point, but he is topping my list. I'd rather not regurgitate what I've already said on the matter but, he seems to be playing without much adherence to his own rules for voting or any general consistency. I don't think his votes on myself or Angel were made with much subsistence and in Angel's case was a fatal mistake. I don't think its much of a coincidence that a player who claims that we need hard evidence for a vote and then doesn't follow that rule ends up placing the last vote on a dead townie. Those are my thoughts for now. I'm going to check in on voter rationale i.e. there posts containing or surrounding their votes, admittedly I didn't do much research prior to this post and much of it was gut feeling. I'll look into things more before making my next post.

I'd really like to here from those who voted for Angel. We got word from a couple already.

D3mon, posted today but didn't have any real substance. Looks like his vote was purely retaliatory.

Fighting Okra maintained suspicion all day yesterday, but never founded a real solid basis. Seemed like Angel's inactivity tipped the scales.

Kaziocore's vote seemed to be based on inactivity.

KevinH voted because he thought someone should get lynched and Angel was the easy target at that point.

If you're on this list and you want to take issue with the reasoning I found from my skimming please do. That's why I made this list.

I'm starting to think the d3mon is a scum...

I agree with Kaziocore, lurkers are more likely to be scum.

ATM, I am leaning towards no lynch. Last round was ample proof that a lynch on Day 1 can be really bad for the town.

FOS : CD and Tracker

Surprise both of them are killed...

Unless someone has further information or another viewpoint that they can back up, I'm most likely going to pick my suspect from this list. It's thin, but I think we've got good odds at least one scum is in there.

I agree. All I can say is that it isn't me.

KevinH voted because he thought someone should get lynched and Angel was the easy target at that point.

That's accurate.

I'm starting to think the d3mon is a scum...Surprise both of them are killed...

[sarcasm] Hm.. I agree with your logic.. I am definitely scum [/sarcasm]

OR

Maybe you realized that you made this mistake and are trying to frame someone using this logic

So FOS: CDso you'll know I have my eyes on youAnd a Vote: Trackerfor being inactive.

Haha but the difference is I came first and you just agreed with me.

I have valid reason to suspect CD and I vote for inactive people

if you look at the previous games I play.

NO, you followed me.

CD advocating no-lynch.. :o

I am not against it but I am a little surprised.

*adds CD to the list of suspects*

So FOS: CD so you'll know I have my eyes on you

And a Vote: Tracker

for being inactive.

On any other day, this would have been enough for me to vote for you but since today is LYLO, I am not going to vote for you (atm).

FOS : kaziocore

Also Tracker did have a small power role but RoT did not specify what it was. I will check mafia wiki later today to see if I can find a matching role and will report back. Good luck and have fun.

Edit: checked wiki but couldn't find a role to match and I don't know how much of RoT wanted to divulge so I'll leave it at that.

Based on this, I still think there is a cop/doc in our midst somewhere.

I like the back and forth with Kaziocore and D3mon. Its the firmest I've seen either of them. I guess the jury's still out on that discussion though. D3mon might be right about the time line, but they both had the votes down no matter who did it first.

Can you explain why the post you quoted leads you to believe this. I don't see how your claim follows from that post. However, I suspect there are probably townie power roles of some kind and we're not fighting barehanded. Is this conclusion based on the same assumption that we probably have a relatively strong power role somewhere and Tracker/Nerau/CD aren't it?

The role wasn't in the mafia wiki so it must be unusual. Cop and doc would have been there.

Maybe it's both unusual and strong and that's all we had. If so, we need to get lucky with our next lynches.

NO, you followed me.

FOS : kaziocore

Though you're the first one who posted CD on a "list of suspects",

your reasoning is only for CD's change of strategy on D1 which

everyone can easily say even the mafia members (to get townie points

so they have to point this is out first).

My reason is different which is his proposed strategy of 3 No Lynches

which can be easily abused by the mafia. This is more subtle than the

first.

Also I already said on page 3 that I would vote for an inactive player

and I was the one who came first in voting Tracker. I am really convinced

that voting inactive players (which turned out from our discussion after

my vote on Tracker that he was actually lurking) is the right move on D1

which I retained until the day ended.

One observation I have for you d3mon is that most of your posts don't

really contribute that much to discussion. All I could see is you just agree

with something or say something obvious like

"Hm.. 3 townies dead.. assuming that we have 3 scum, is it LYLO already ???? "

or

"Welcome EM... :) "

During the deadline after missing in action for the past three days.

It's like you want to avoid too much attention or something...
