@cc. I know the differece between a role and flavoring but thought it highly unlikely that you would be a mason instead of me considering that is my characters occupation.

If the tables were turned, would you not find your initial post as being something of great interest and want to know more? I'm sure you would also want to trap a suspected scum if you were in my shoes.

It seems like a terrible trap. What if he had answered mason just generically talking about the role instead of answering with the flavor of the role?

Mason by role could be completely different in flavoring, like two twins, or lovers, whatever.

So we have two roleclaims

1. ccabal as the Princess

2. EM as a mason with no powers

So I want to hear from the people who haven't responded yet if they think these guys are telling the truth or not. Right now I'm inclined to think both claims are true, but I'm not entirely convinced yet.

Same boat as you. Although I never saw why a roleclaim was necessary.

You seem to be reading an awful lot into flavoring, and give little attention to anything else, like the points I raised in my analysis. I already said that revealing more at this time would not benefit the town, yet you too are pushing for more.

I don't think Rafay is scum, but more like a new mafia player who is throwing his suspicions around aggressively (or he could have been playing a character like BeeBs).

His half lynch vote is the most concrete this we have to go on at the moment.

In my mind, either ElectricMango and ccabal86 are both scum or both mafia. As I've never seen a scum strategy where the scum run each other into the ground simply for the use of putting one in a better position I'm going to maintain that they are both townies for now. There is a first time for everything, that induction might really bite me in the ass, we'll see.

A major problem we have right now is the difference in townie roles.

Immanuel mentioned my earlier attitude as suspect of having some sort of role, I can assure you that I do not. It was flavor that went a bad way.
KevinH has bounced around on the bounds of his power. At one point I believe he said he could curse the scum, which sounded to me like maybe a roleblocker position. However, he now maintains he can do nothing but rhyme.

ccabal has been explict that he has a power role, but won't reveal more. I think it was extremely unfortunate that he revealed that so early. It has drawn heat from townies (and surely scum as well). I think his current hush hush position on it is incredibly damaging. If you're going to come out with it, you might as well come all the way out. It's not working as a deterrent not to get lynched. If you get NKd for it, we'll know nothing. Basically you're drawing a huge target on your back (and if we're to believe you, that means were focusing attention on proving the innocence of a townie) which is a rabbit hole that is distracting and unhelpful. You might as well tell us what you've got so we can make a decision, use the power with undisclosed information from other power roles and hope you don't get NKd.

ElectricMango's back and forth on the mason terminology is confusing. Why would he use it in a technical, and then a non-technical sense? It's confusing and it smacks on unintentional inconsistency to me. FOS: ElectricMango

I'm trying to think of reasons why the town is better off not knowing information of a claimed power role? If all it does is get you NKd you dug your own grave and left no clues? When/why is this a good idea?

To me, that's a whole lot of voting on Day 1 and also a bold vote against someone who claimed a townie power role. What does this have to do with "odds"? It seems to me he was trying to stay inconspicuous. Getting a vote out there, jump after popular sentiment and not stick his neck out to much. Seems spinnable to either side.

More often than not, scum will try to blend in with the crowd and not draw attention to themselves. Spraying votes around the board and going after a claimed power role does not fit that description, hence, I'm going with the assumption that he is most likely a townie.

So with deadline nearing, it seems like it is boiling down to a lynch of either Rafay , EM or ccabal86 today. My analysis of said characters:

Firstly Rafay. Very suspicious switching of votes and throwing accusations around to get a lynch without any solid evidence. However, as has been pointed out, this does not necessarily mean that he is scum, just that he is inexperienced.

EM: Pushing for werewolf scenario early on. Very experienced player and completely capable of orchestrating a scum move of no night kill on Night 1 to confuse the townies. Also was the lead to lynch a townie, Nerau, on Day 2. Claims to be a mason with no power.

ccabal86: Claimed a townie role early but not revealing his extra powers (if any?). Was against werewolf scenario from beginning and now pushing for an EM lynch. Claims to have revealed role to get discussion going and to assess reactions from various players. Have pinpointed EM as being the most inquisitive of his role.

My take: I kind of agree that Rafay would not be attracting so much attention towards him if he was scum. For the same reason I dont see why ccabal wouldclaim a townie role and attract attention himself if he was scum. I think this lynch and this nights action will make things a lot more clearer. So for the moment I an going for a lynch of the most suspicious character of the 3: Electric Mango.

Activity does not necessarily mean you are drawing attention to yourself. One can be active and stay under the radar at the same time.

I stood up, and did something unexpected that left people scratching their head, you didn't. There is no problem with that though, just pointing out why BeebS' statement needs a little correction: I did indeed "drew" attention to myself, you on the other hand was forced into the limelight by me.
