Tbh, I Really do not know why people eat so much meat. I just bought two weeks of food and didn't realise until I was done there was no meal with meat in it.
This conversation reminds me of an incident with someone in my first year of uni. I was preparing some venison (deer) and she had a massive go at me for being so cruel as to eat deer. As she was having this go at me she was taking cheap chicken (aka battery farmed) out of the fridge. Kind of pissed me off a lot that one.

Industrialised farming of livestock is responsible for the vast maority of drug resistant baceria (excluding those recent additions grown in south east asia annd India where the drugs are horribly miss managed / miss used.) In the ideal world we'd all hunt our own meat, but that's truely unsustainable (courtesy of humans being greedy ****ers) unless we want to eat rabit once a week the rest of our lives. If you want to intensively farm in a "safe" way which doesn't eed antibacterials, it's all about the multi-story.

Not really surprising. Pigs can be vicious as **** and will eat anything they can get at. Staying still near a bunch of hungry pigs for any length of time is a Bad Idea.
