[KZ-03] NEW WORLD END: Death Note Mafia

Death Note Mafia

http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l59/qweasdzxczxcasdqwe/KiraVsL50.png

I understood that killing people was a crime. There was no other way! The world had to be fixed! A purpose given to me! Only I could do it.

Who else could have done it, and come this far? Would they have kept going? The only one…who can create a new world… is me.

Whether you're next is up to you. No one can stop me.

I'm chasing someone without a name or face. Someone who believes he's on a righteous path, ridding the world of criminals.

By acting as a god, he himself has become a criminal. It's my duty - no, my calling - to find him and show him what justice truly means.

He'll hear me, but he'll never see me coming, and when I find him, his capture will be the world's liberation.

I'll uncover Kira's identity if it's the last thing I do.

L!

Kira!

I will definitely find and finish you!

I will definitely find and finish you!

vote: no lynch

despite my belief that there is a reason that Aenir karl and LK confirmed later than everyone else (like if they were communicating with each other because they are scum), I agree with Kevin. We need voting patterns, but day 1 gives no real patterns. I think we should wait till our next day to get down to voting, let any townie rolls go to work for another night and hopefully come up with something useful.

oddly enough i find not lynching stupid... i mean, let's take 2 cases: 1 where everyone votes for a no lynch and one where everyone votes for a lynch.

1st case: everyone votes for a no lynch.

nobody dies during the day. 1 townie dies during the night. the townies have to lynch someone the next day based on who voted what the previous day. well, i don't know about you but no lynch votes don't tell me anything. so during the 2nd day 1 townie dies probably because of lynching and another one dies during the night.

d3 things left to analyze: 1 townie death at random (since scum had to kill someone at random, nobody posed any kind of threat), votes from the 2nd day and 1 townie death from the previous night.

2nd case: everyone votes and someone is lynched.

probably a townie is lynched during the day and a townie is dead at night. the 2nd day we get to analyze votes from the 1st day, the townie death at night. probably another townie will die this day cause of lynching and another one at night cause of the scum.

bottom line: in the 3rd day, 4th day and so forth, how likely are we to figure out who is scum and lynch them?

You can make educated guesses off of more than just who votes for who. The context of what is said could in itself hint towards what side they are playing. For example someone could say my reluctance to lynch on the first day is a tell all sign that I am a townie, or it could flip around and just be that I am setting the ground work and building up trust to help me in the days to come. Other examples are in mind but everyone knows you don't just show your whole hand like that. Between the conversations themselves and if/when special roles come into play there will be better information as to who is who. Townies are at more of an advantage prolonging the game and only lynching when there is a reasonable argument to be had, or desperation calls for it, where as the baddies (deathnoters?) benefit from random killing and discourse amongst the masses as currently there are more townies than deathnoters by a fair amount. Add in special roles and the likelihood of finding those in possession of the deathnotes increases per day.

That being said I want to clarify that I am not against a first night lynch I merely was saying that a random lynch is statistically guaranteed to be an innocent townie. However as people continue to converse it no longer is a true random lynch so a lynch is no longer a statistic certainty of a townies death. That is why I said I was refraining from voting to lynch for the time being, I never actually voted for no lynch (no bold was used). Every single thing someone has said in this thread thus far could potentially hold clues as to what side of the fence they are sitting or can be used as a baseline for anything that happens or is said in the future, after all, you can't take everything at face value when someone is secretly trying to kill you.

EDIT: I now know where rainbows come from

MOD: Warning for editing a post

I have been for a very long time been a proponent of no lynch on day 1 and while I did place a meaningless vote for Karl, its time to get back to business..

Vote: No Lynch

... what the heck is going on here i get moved in fully and you all go crazy trying to lynch everyone here... we need to hold off trying to lynch on this day is a waste of time and of a life wait one day and go from there. jumping all gun ho wont get us anywhere!!

My point exactly..

Vote to lynch Lorikz Kain. We need eight (8) votes before this day is over. Cmon people. Play this game with a little more adventure. :noobrtfm:/>

It's adventuresome to see who survives the night!

While I don't put much faith in accusations during day 1 because "nobody knows nothin'", I do find it useful to guage activity levels. Tomorrow I may lynch based on inactivity and this day will be included.

IT IS NOW NIGHT ONE.

NIGHT ACTIONS TO ME BY SUNDAY.

It was early morning and Lorikz Kain started to find clues to capture Kira.

Then, suddenly a little bitty baby pimp with sunburns appeared out of nowhere!

How could a baby have sideburns and have a profession that is illegal?

Lorikz Kain was so surpised and shocked that he immediately had a heart attack.

Examining his body reveals that he was Soichiro Yagami, a member of the Japanese police force.

Lorikz Kain, Soichiro Yagami, Died of a Heart Attack

It is now DAY 2

Deadline: Tuesday, 25th of December

With 14 Alive, 8 is needed to lynch.

4 is needed on deadline

Poor Lorikz Kain ... he just learned where the rainbow comes from. :(

Why would the scum want Lorikz Kain dead?

Xarastier had a vote on him but that's too easy for a frame by the scum.

I was invited into two different night-talk threads and believe they were all townies so my list of scum suspects has narrowed.

In one thread, it was suggested that the scum need a role name to use a death note.

Just to be safe, I would encourage everyone to keep their name as private as possible.

I also think more effective scum-hunting will happen in the night-talk threads than normal day-time discussion.

Vote: No lynch

However, I can be persuaded to lynch because maybe somebody learned something from their night-talk thread.

I would also agree that no one should reveal their real name. According to Death Note, the killer must write the victims name down in a book in order for them to die. I'm just leaving for work, will post more later.

1. since there were no real voting going on yesterday, i don't think the bad guys actually had a reason to kill LK. except if what you're saying is right and they only had his name, though it would have been a bit hard seeing it was the first night and all.

2. 2 different night discussion threads means you probably know who 2 townies are or at least that you can communicate with them. it also means people must kind'a like you to add you as the first one to their discussion threads... lucky bastard :P

3. i read a bit the wiki of death note. LK died indeed cause of a death note not a serial killer since the cause of death is heart attack. the one who writes the name must picture the face of the one he wants to kill in the first 40secs if i remember correctly and the cause of death in the next 6min40secs or the cause of death will be heart attack.

4. says there that LK was a member of the police. it's possible we might have lost a power role maybe?

The "bad guys" have one - and only one - reason to kill which is to deplete us townies no matter who we are & win. We ourselves also have one - and only one - reason to hang mafiascum, and that is also to stay alive and win. No matter what is said here, a vote to hang is at best an informed or uninformed guess. I too have read a bit the wiki, and according to it the most important strategy is to stick to your initial or original "guess" until proven the next night or day otherwise. Cmon townies. You know who you are.

Get with this game and vote. We only need 8.

Vote: :noobrtfm:/> KevinH

I think evry1 has a sort of power role??

why would you say that?

xarastier, i was just saying that some options are better than others. and i agree with chaplain, why would you kill the one who has probably access to the biggest ammount of information among all of us?

Lorikz Kain was Soichiro Yagami...that name rings a bell. If my memory is correct, wasn't he a big wig in the police force or something in Death Note? Been so long since I watched the anime =S

I think the question we need to figure out is...was this a random killing or was this a surgical strike? we are at a significant disadvantage if we just lost our cop >_<

I kind of agree with KevinH. At this point we have no useful information to positively id any scum. We already lost one power role, hopefully there are few others who will get to work on the nights. There's no point randomly lynching another guy and find out he was another townie power role. But I wouldnt mind lynching the inactive guys.

Rafay suddenly had a heart attack while investigating the whereabouts of Kira.

Upon examining her corpse, you identified her as Halle Lidner, a former Secret Service agent.

Rafay, Halle Lidner, Died of a Heart Attack

Votes have been reset.

With 13 Alive, 7 is needed to lynch.

4 is needed on deadline
