don't expect everyone to post text walls. Just that if you don't then
maybe you could post a bit more often. That being said. Thanks for your
input on the vig kill and sorry to see that you may be wasting your vote
on an inactive. Too bad that it is still not clear who you suspect at

Also I forgot to mention it, there are 12 people, the chance of Martino being one of the killer is 25%, if he is mafia and we lynched him, good. If he is a townie and he is inactive then that won't be good as he can't support us except to prolong the game for a bit. But as it has been mentioned Martino should show up soon

imran does have a point there. just dragging around from day to day people who do not do anything like posting or voting isn't fun or useful. i don't think that we should end the day right now though and conclude that martino will not be useful and just vote for him. that is bad scum hunting. we're out of the rvs from the looks of it and this is a good thing. most of the people playing are also quite active and this is also a good thing. we should try to make the most of it and gather as much info as possible.

That's why I said a better vote would be the "active" lurkers.
For example Xarastier. He's not absent so when he sees people
voting him, he will probably be pressured.

Parking votes on Martino will not do much as he's not
reading thread.
 

I believe the scum would instead be trying to act like a constructive townie and diverting attention carefully away from him and his practices.
Encouraging the vote on lurkers which doesn't say much as we have little info to work with.
Given that the scum may indeed be trying to blend in.

Woah woah I'm starting to see a pattern here. Why does my voting seem scummy. All kaz has done is throw random wild suspicions at me n Imran. That's not scum hunting, it's scum working to perfection and Euclid the new guy seems to be blowing their cover. They were both on Kev bandwagon n now trying to frame me.

A scummy is going to be smart, he may be fooling the town into thinking he is out to get scum.
That's what is probably happening, obviously not all do.
The idea that all scum are laying low is ridiculous, a scum is going to be acting like a townie.

If you could prove that I did the following
1) Something that (at first glance) looks like it helps the town but doesn't (and the "helper" should be aware of that.)
Example: Information over Analysis
2) Something that though seemingly pro-town conflicts with the expressed viewpoint of the poster.
Example: Expressing a wish to see a player lynched but being reluctant to hammer for fear of being seen as too rash

Well there is limited info available as you well know.

But generally the vibe I get from you leaves a bad scummy taste in my mouth.

Scum hunting is not why I am voting you, I am voting you mainly because I made clear I think your voting of Rafay is ridiculous.

I'm not even sure why you voted him, please explain why you voted him as I requested earlier.

 

And I generally don't like the voting pattern you would like us to take.

 

You didn't advocate lynching them and I was not referring to that.

 

 think the best course of action of the vig is to night kill the lurkers.
They're disadvantageous to the town especially if they are scum.

 

Even worse you want the vig to target a particular group who may or may not be scum and are likely to be comprised mostly as townies.

Avoiding attention away from the other groups, very unwise and I don't trust your reasons for this notion.

Walls versus short posts... Now that he's gotten a few more posts in I'm quite okay with Nerau's 2 or 3 line posts. You can say a lot with just a few words or you can post a meaningless wall. Some of us still need to start contributing, most notably Xarastier and Martino, but tbh killgor, Rafay and reign of terror also have yet to put forward anything substantial IMO.

That percentage is the same for everyone. Therefore it can't be used to select a lynch target. I agree that, all else being equal, lynching an inactive is better than lynching an active. However, if you don't have some sort of read from more than 100 posts, not even a slight hunch... then you shouldn't be playing mafia IMO. Just saying... all else ain't equal.

Incidentally, besides yourself there are 11 players, 3 of which are scum. So it's actually 27.3% not 25%. My point is however that by properly hunting scum and weighing in the information from our day talk we can get those odds up quite a bit.

 

It has been suggested, Lyner, that if you wish to use your vote to wake up lurkers you should move it to Xarastier. What say you?

lol... i don't find  the discussion done until now of much help. it looks to me like a bunch of headless chickens running around in circles blaming each other for things they might or might not have done. i hope however that in the days to come it will provide some insight into the motives of those who will still be alive. so it's doubtful that i will do a wall or accuse someone just for some probable misunderstanding on my part.
