So, we all have our own opinions about NoR. But this isn't about.them. This is about CN and its reputation.

I ask all of you to sign this. With 150 sigs, it will go public, it will get CNs name out, and it will tell the Norwegian government that Cybernations is being wrongfully accused of Nazism.

If nothing else, getting this public should get CNs name out and attract politically minded, active players. (Something we've recently needed).

Complete waste of time.

The US Government has much more important things to worry about than something about an online game.

Nobody should care about this.

We, Nordreich, the actual victim of their allegations, weren't even asked if we wanted to see this petition...

It was literally created a few hours ago. Also, I was told NoR was told about this. Likely via IRC.

And guys, the point of this is to promote the game as a whole.

Idk. I really don't think it can cause harm or good really. :/ I've been on the site before and things passed on it, don't actually come to foliation in RL. ) I hate to bearer of bad news about this.

It wasn't created for NoRs sake. It was created for the sake of the game as a whole.

Can't hurt. It literally takes a few mouse clicks and again, refer to above^

Well it's said they accused CN of nazi stuff too so it is a bit bigger than just an alliance that played the game.

CN actually possible had something to lose from the allegations such as negative views that discourage players, Nor is not really in the same boat and is not as significant in regards to this.

In that light, if there is victim then it is CN.

Which is odd because our government is now asking where this came from and where exactly we said "sure re-implicate us in this scandal that we had forgotten about".

Well it's said

Key word in that sentence.

I didn't create the petition.

Poke Rotavele.

It's also said they accused Nor, is that a keyword too?

This is about CN and its reputation.

Bothering real world politicians and wasting their time is not the way to fix CN, and it will not help CN's reputation in any way.

Okay lemme get this straight...

We petition the Obama Administration to demand an apology from the Norwegian Government for a misguided accusation in 2007 that accused a made-up alliance of being Nazis in a made-up nation buiding game... in order to promote how fun it is to play Cybernations?

I don't think this idea will gain positive traction.

I thought they just used the website to try and petition the Norway government.

But the US gov? Shakes head.

"Stormfront defines Nordreich as a potential recruiting ground for its operations on its online forum. The white supremacist group admits that a number of members are active in Nordreich." - an article on it from 2007

However this is pointless.

Pointless is beyond kind to describe this.

US Gov has got better things to do than worry about the internet. Like fix our economy and stop trying to take away our Bill of Rights...

OK OK. Maybe its pointless.

BUT, it was an idea. Lets face it. CN is half dead and nobody has any cure to the ever creeping disease of uninterest.

Try recruiting off-site. whitehouse.gov is not likely to bring politically-minded yet interesting people to the game. At least not any with much staying power

I can appreciate the sentiment but 1) It's kind of pointless and only brings up old, bad press 2) Not asking NoR (much of the old guard of which is gone I imagine) if they want an apology makes this beyond dumb

It was indeed about Stormfront (which we as IRON actually attacked ingame )

I love that the majority of posts are about how pointless this effort is, and will therefore not take the energy to make a few clicks. If anything, the reason the game is dying is because everyone acknowledges it and does nothing about it, and instead of placing it in their own hands they wait for admin to do something we all know he will not.

/me signs the petition and prays that God recognizes this giant sacrifice

don't blame me, I neither can currently nor desire in the future to be able to sign such a petition

Yeah, most of the old members who were involved in the scandal left a long time ago or now are merely members of the AA and bodies during war. Very few of the old blood have any impact on the modern Nordreich.

All that using our scandal with NoRway is doing is dragging out name through the dirt in the public forum yet again. People just have to read the word "nazi" to hate something - which is something we all deplore in Nordreich because it has absolutely fuck all to do with any of us.

Oh boy. I don't think I have to point out why this won't lead anywhere.

Also... The game is dying not because it's not being advertised enough, the game is dying because it sucks. The mechanics behind it are outdated, unbalanced, and boring. Best case scenario, this attracts a hundred people or so, 90% of them will go inactive in the first month, and the game will continue its decline, because the fundamental issues are not being addressed.

If you really want to attract new players, you might want to bug Admin and Co. to update and improve the game.
