Actually thats a good thing for the town. Its too bad (for the town) that you are scum in this game.. . As kevin is mod and Kazio is also scum, the town is missing 3 of the most experienced players in their team..lol. So its our game to lose guys. We need to take out the semi experienced guys first and leave the noobs for later. So I guess that means robert, Lyner, iSoc. Rafay and CS are semi experienced as well but they always look scummy. Others are noobs who can be manipulated with ease *evil laughter*

Samus seems like a good target. Possible problem with him though is as he is popular with the noobs he may draw some of their actions which is not a problem if its a watcher but he may get protected by a doc.

 

I think that Samus should be our target. He is active and could have the ability to sway votes in certain directions in the future.

 

Samus sounds good but lets wait for EM's thoughts.

 

The faction kill gives "no result" (Samus is still alive).

 

Rafay is a 3-shot Rolestopper.

 

1. As shown Samus will draw actions from the noobs. So if we target him we have to go for EM strong man kill.

- Samus (and every one else) missing the Ascetic part... Can someone truely say that they noticed it? (As I see Mafia used a Strongman kill as well, so they didn't notice it either)

 

We missed it too but if we didnt use the Strong Man kill the kill wouldnt have gone through because of Rafay's role stopper ability. We failed killing him on N1 bc of that too. The role stopper is the only action that is not stopped by the ascetic modifier.

 

But we also fed a lot of misinformation in the game which resulted in the townies not catching up, like we knew that a Role Stopper can stop kills but we fed the info that he cant so Rafay was lynched. We also threw a lot of strange theories out there like the odd/even mafia groups, the serial killer, the scum with the townie role powers...lol

I started getting the Forbidden thingy also halfway through the game. I used a proxy server afterwards.

Safe role claims were not given. Just safe names. We made up the roles.

Yeah we had no way of knowing whether a town Role Cop or a town Commuter will suddenly show up. But the townies also helped in this because all you guys were revealing role left and right while having almost no useful info to share. It helped us come up with roles that will be believable, although at points we were thinking Mand may be a commuter or a role cop.

 

Point to note, dont reveal your oles too early. It just helps the scum..lol. I think the experienced players played it well..Lyner, iSocialism revealed their role pretty late but a lot of others just came out and informed everyone what abilities they have, making it easier for us to plan our actions at night.

I've read the mafia discussion, it's quite enlightning and interesting to get a view into the minds of the Mafia.

Also Imran: quite --> quiet 

 

I will thrust everyone even less next game! And bullshit reasons why you can't post/analyse because of a job interview or something won't cut it any more, as I won't believe you.

 

Some general tips:

You can use the search function on the forum to see all posts from 1 person.

For the ones who played their 1st game, read the mafia discussion. It's a looooong read, but you'll learn a lot on how the mafia thinks and what they all do.

I doubt this much mafia strategising goes on in other mafia games. It really depends on who the scum are, everyone has their own way of thinking. In this case all of us... me, TW and later shah were nitpicking details and scenarios bc thats what we do best   but in usual games i doubt this much thought goes into who to kill and how to respond to events. The mafia encryptor (that is day talk) is also not usual for normal mafia games so scum dont have this much time to strategise and coordinate actions (i personally think its great and all games should have this option for the scum).

Imran, shah, and I did a lot of strategizing as you can see. I don't have anything to base it off of but I would be surprised if that much work goes into other mafia games regularly.

Also, while trusting anyone should definitely be earned in these games, keep in mind that obviously roles are going to change from game to game. So in future games it's probably best if you don't just assume that someone is scum or not based on an old game.

I honestly did have two interviews spanning three days meaning 4 days of being busy. I was less active and offered to delay for same period if everyone wanted.

I wouldn't pull something like that to kill time.

And tbh, if mafia stopped posting, things really slowed down. I also pretended to be pro but this is my second game actually, last one was with RnR long long ago. This way I kept selling the story that killing em would be noob mistake as if it was a nugget of wisdom. I'd sell you you sand and call it gold :-|, whatever to keep the boat afloat.

Another thing I would suggest is don't forget the things from past days, everyone tended to forget the past day at next day.

Re Mafia discussions: I think we got lucky and managed to have very very active players.

I really think lack of townie activities lead to two lynches I.e. Rafey and Ccabal. It's purely down to low activity, else those lynches would have been v. hard.

@Kevin - I am curious why you put a Neapolitan in the game as all the townies had power roles. Samus was VT at first but since he was backup, any townie lynched on D1 would mean he will not be a VT by N1.

 

Also why put the BP modifier on him? Was it decided randomly?

Don't think I put too much analysis into it, but I thought the town had enough power roles and didn't want to give much more.  I sort of hoped that the Neapolitan investigation would be seen by somebody and add to confusion.  Since it is such a weak role, I added the bulletproof to offset the scum getting the extra kill when the jack-of-all-trades used the vigilante kill.  (That part worked out)
