I knew you would be posting about this Mr. Rhizo... you are not alone my friend. I want Trump to go down slowly, and not in a sudden flame out that humiliates him in any way. You are correct. He will act like a little bitch, and he's been treated unfairly. If he turns third party it will be trouble... so I want him gone, but I don't want him to have anywhere to go but home. His candidacy has been good for the party in some ways. He brought attention to big issues and has validated a lot of anger that people have with a system that all too often forces us to just sit down and shut up... that it's not our country any longer. He has brought more attention to the Republican party... we have broken records because of him.

If Trump wins the nomination fair and square... he should get it. If he wins it and they take it from him... I will go with him, because I believe the people choose the nominee, not the party. If it's Trump vs. a Democrat... I will vote Trump.

Now that I got my initial rant/feelings out.

It was a long shot, it's not like I really didn't see it eventually happening anyway, but I was hoping he'd hold on and see what happened, see if a few more weeks things started to rise for him.  He's exiting the race with more money and more votes then the likes of Christie.  Plus, with others likely ending their run soon, I was interested in seeing if some of those votes would transition over to Rand.  Also if Carson dropped out, which he hasn't but I don't expect to be for that much longer.  But Rand was expecting the Iowa Caucus results to differ then what was being estimated/polled.  He felt the younger individuals, especially college kids would account for a higher percentage, plus I imagine he hoped some of the people who won his father Ron 23 delegates in 2012 would move to him.  When that didn't happen, and ended up in the same position & percentage as estimated, it likely hit him and his campaign hard.  I believe had he of been right, and say he got 10%, and ended up 4th, I think it would be a different story.  I'm certainly going to miss him on the debate circuit as well, I enjoyed his debates, especially lately (early on going after Trump was a dumb move, and didn't win him anything).

But he does have to look to win his re-election in Kentucky, and though it would be a real upset if he lost there, he needs to hold on to it.

Needless to say, the good thing is that I don't believe much of Rand's support will go to Trump.  I believe a lot will go to Cruz, which will likely hurt Trump.  You make good points, and that is the best thing to happen, which is Trump slowly go down.  Him running third party would be disastrous for the GOP, and likely would hand the Democrats the win.  It's best if he just starts to lose steam and either Cruz or Rubio really starts to break out.  It's what I am hoping for.  I do believe Trump has only been bad for the GOP, I agree that I think his presence has done some good things for the GOP, I just want him to go before he possibly does/says something that will do more harm then the good he brought.  To me, he's a loose cannon, he shoots from the hip, and though I do enjoy someone actually speaking their mind and not always trying to be PC, some of the things I just cringe at.  Had someone else said some of the things, their numbers would plummet.

My only concern with Cruz is the legal ramifications that are still to come with eligibility.  Though in my eyes I believe he is, it's something that needs to be decided by Supreme Court.  I would be fine with Cruz or Rubio, they weren't my top choice, but I don't despise them, and I like them more then I did McCain or Romney and I voted for them.

So I'm bummed, but I'll move on.  I do still care (my earlier rant I said I didn't), I just now need to start looking at which Candidate I can now get behind over the rest.

Trump demanding a re run of Iowa after throwing a hissy fit that fox wouldn't drop Kelly. I don't think he could look more like a cry baby if he tried. Given he tried to sell himself as a tough guy I have a feeling this will hurt him more than any attack from outside.

Ted Cruz won, and his support was what everyone thought it would be. Trump under performed his expectations, which is a loss. Marco Rubio over performed his expectations, which is a big win for him going into other state primaries that actually like him more than Iowa did. That's pretty much where we are.

Oh. So in that perspective. Like they were comparing to the polls.

There is a legitimate beef about this. Ted Cruz took a tweet from Ben Carson about him going home to get a change of clothes and turned it into a big hoax that he was pulling out of the race. This was a lie. This was not the only dirty politics from the Cruz camp... they also sent out "Election Violation" notices out to Iowa Republicans showing all their neighbors their attendance record for caucus, and making them think they were in some kind of trouble.

This is dirty politics and I hate it. It's done on purpose, and then after the damage is done they just claim ignorance and apologize. Sorry... that doesn't fly with me, and I expect this crap from Democrats, but not from the Cruz campaign.

The difference between Trump and Cruz is one is the monster you know and one is a sleazy slimy operative.

Anyway, I don't think New Hampshire will be a walk in the park for Sanders. Obama thought the same and Hillary jumped out last season. Sanders gotta fight for every vote. He has to learn and adapt against Establishments dirty politics that robbed him of his de jure win.

Sanders will crush Hillary in New Hampshire, they are overrun with career college students, but after that he's out of gas. The only reason Hillary beat Obama in New Hampshire in '08 was she started crying during an interview the day before... that dog ain't gonna hunt this time.

Bernie Sanders will never get the nomination. The fix is already in. You can tell by the way they handled Iowa. It's a "caucus"... and the results are known instantly... they don't cast a ballot, they just report the outcome... there was nothing to recount, and it took a day to get the results? Even if Hillary gets indicted, cuffed, perp walked, and thrown in max security... Bernie will never be President. They will have Joe Biden on the ballots faster than you can say, "WTF just happened?" and they will change all the rules they need to change... because they can.

They "allowed" Bernie Sanders to run. Every one of those candidates were just a pony show to make her look better. They never believed a 74 year old Socialist would be a threat. They had mock debates hidden on weekends, and during football games. They didn't want anyone to watch them. It's all rigged to crown Hillary, but they have one problem... they can't make people like her.

I like the max security thing, that's what she deserves.

You may "expect this crap" from Democrats, but you actually got it from a Republican.

Apparently, it was not just limited to a tweet, but there was also a series of voicemails sent to potential voters.

The governor of Iowa is now saying that there "will be repercussions" for what the Cruz campaign did.  I don't know if he is speaking legally, or just in the realm of public opinion.

It's just in the realm of public opinion. The Cruz camp are sticking to their story that it was a legitimate news story from CNN and they ran with it. They will probably get away with it. What I thought was awful was Ted... knowing the shit he pulled... tried to deflect the crap storm that was coming on to "just another Trump tantrum", and he was just a sore loser.

That stupid mailer thing has been done before. I guess it's not illegal, it's just bad taste. Ted Cruz ran a brilliant campaign up until the last week or so before Iowa, and then he just turned scumbag after Sarah Palin endorsed Trump. The thing that bugs me about Ted Cruz is he sounds so much like a televangelist when he speaks... now I have something else that bugs me more than that... dirty fucking politics.

I sincerely hope that more of the support from Huckabee/Santorum/Paul swings in Marco Rubio's direction. I was (and still am) a Huckabee supporter but my like and interest in Rubio has been growing rapidly. I will be casting my vote for Rubio in the primaries and will gladly support him for President if he wins the nomination. He is far less "establishment" than most people, he appeals to the conservative base, and I think that he has a good grasp on foreign affairs.

I was not crazy about McCain or Romney, but I am actually interested in voting for Rubio. I think that he could be what we need.

Everyone that drops out will strengthen Marco. Bush and Christie are desperately trying to damage Rubio in an attempt to shift that momentum to themselves. It won't work. Marco is running a very positive campaign, and people like that. They want to say he doesn't have enough experience. He's 5 years into his first term as a U.S. Senator... that's longer than Obama was. People also need to know a couple more things about Marco Rubio... he was Speaker of the House for the Florida Legislature, and the man has never lost an election. They want to say he's too young... he's 44 and 5 months younger than Ted Cruz. In comparison, John F. Kennedy was 43 when he was elected, Theodore Roosevelt was 42.

Trump support is maxed out. Rubio is rising, and should win this in a walk. I do believe he will choose out of the box of candidates, and pick Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina, as the VP running mate.

New Hampshire is now in the record books. I have been waiting for the numbers to become final.

Trump - 35%

Kasich - 16%

Cruz - 12%

Bush - 11%

Rubio - 11%

Christie - 7%

Fiorina - 4%

Carson - 2%

Check the date my friends... Tuesday February 9 will probably come down to the day Donald Trump was elected President. In my opinion, there was only one way to stop Trump. If Marco Rubio was allowed to continue his momentum, he would have locked up a solid second place in New Hampshire. Bush, Kasich, and Christie all would have dropped out... and Rubio would have inherited their support and beat Donald in South Carolina. That would have ended the Trump train. That did not happen.

Donald Trump has probably sent Chris Christie a 5 pound box of candy, with a "yuge" thank you note... because he is responsible for Donald Trump to be in perfect position to sweep the Republican nomination. In the last debate, Chris Christie performed a masterful kamikaze suicide attack on Marco Rubio. This was devastating to Rubio, killed Christie... and gave artificial hope to Kasich and Bush. Now Marco is deflated, Bush and Kasich will stay in, Christie will drop... and Trump will walk to victory in South Carolina... and then Nevada. There will be no stopping Trump now, and it's all because we have so many delusional candidates that believe they can beat him. The time to concentrate enough support into one candidate with the right stuff to stop the Trump train, has passed. Cruz cannot beat Trump nationally. Donald Trump will destroy any Democrat they wish to nominate, and to believe that he is just too offensive to be electable... is complete ignorance to what has been going on.

It would now take a miracle to prevent Trump from winning a majority. I really can't stop laughing at these guys, patting themselves on the back and giving victory speeches... after getting absolutely crushed by Trump. They all believe if they can stay in just long enough to claim second position, that they will be the chosen one when the Republicans refuse to give the nomination to Donald Trump... it will never happen.

We need to dispel this fiction that these establishment candidates didn't know what they were doing - they knew exactly what they were doing! they're undergoing a systematic process to make Trump more like the other candidates and have at least a semblance of a personality. We need to break this fairy tale that these establishment candidates didn't know what they were doing - they knew exactly what they were doing! they're pushing a systematic process to make Trump more like the other candidates and have at least a semblance of a personality. We need to make it clear that these establishment candidates didn't know what they were doing - they knew exactly what they were doing! they're undergoing a systematic process to make Trump more like the other candidates and have at least a semblance of a personality.

21st century values have been instilled in me, i have ignored what the media pushes down my throat. It is these 21st century values that have allowed me to succeed, and I have avoided all the peer pressure to take in the negative values that are thrust down my throat. I strongly believe that these 21st century values must be instilled in our children too, and that we must fight back against what the liberal socialist media thrusts down our throats!

Chris Christie has dropped out as I knew he would. He had zero hope of getting any traction in South Carolina. I hear him and Donald Trump have talked... quite a bit... it could mean an Attorney General appointment... I don't believe they would be talking VP. Carly Fiorina has also dropped, but that didn't mean anything anyway because she would be trying to pull support from Cruz, and she would fail. If Carson dropped, it may have had an effect because Carson will get more support in South Carolina than he did in New Hampshire, but he isn't dropping, so no effect.

Christie and Fiorina dropping... equals no change in how things will turn out. Trump will take South Carolina easily, barring a miracle happening that pushes Cruz into a power position. I don't think that will happen.

Haha very funny if you believe that Trump can beat either Clinton or Sanders, Sorry but no republican or conservative will be the next President. The Republican party is a joke. McCain was probably the last decent Republican candidate who actually supported Health Care reform, believed in Global Warming, etc The Republican party is stuck in their old ways and need to realize that it's the 21'st Century. Marriage is not a Religious matter, Global Warming is a man made problem, Not all Muslims are terrorist. Welfare and Social Security are not a drain on our economy. Well who cares no one listens to crazy liberals. Go on just support Trump the next Hitler and watch the world burn.
