Despite these victories, the majority of Republican voters still don't want Trump as their nominee, and the majority of America can't stand him.

I really don't see where this glide to power is going to come from.

I have watched the same thing take place in the UK. The Labour Party leadership elections this summer saw three utterly shite "mainstream" candidates in the form on Andy Burnham (aka some bloke who did something in the shadow cabinet or something) Yvette Cooper, and .....and....I can't actually remember the third, other than the fact she decided that Nicola Murray from the Thick of It was a good role model when she threw her support behind a policy of welfare cuts so toxic that even Conservative MPs were howling in protest.

Enter Jeremy Corbyn, the outsider. Ok a hard left winger not a crazy all immigrants are terrorists nutjob, but still the anti-establishment figure to shake up politics, carrying labour party members by storm, huge rallies, cheering people, lots of excitement. Swept to power by the entire party membership, to the horror of the MPs and Party Leadership. The man to start a grass roots movement that would take the country by storm and propel Labour to a crushing victory....

Since then Labour's polling performance has stayed stationary. Not one inch of movement. Internal bickering has undone the few moments of success, and slowly but surely the outsider has begun to sink.

The thing is, when you put up a terrible field, outsiders can look great, build some momentum and seem really popular. And lets be clear, as bad fields go, the Republican 2016 field is shockingly awful. From Bush III, to Soundbite Rubio, to bridgegate Christie, to Pyramids are grain silos Carson, it is shocking. Beating this field just requires turning up, wearing shoes (optional) and having a pulse (also potentially optional).

But if there is one very clear thing here, if the Republican's elect Trump, get ready for President Clinton. That is a dead certainty.

EDIT: Liz Kendall....it was Liz Kendall. The 4th candidate, the "woops did I accidentally join the Labour Party?" Candidate

Sorry Ice... if you talk about UK politics, I'm lost. I know you guys have a Queen and a few Prince's, and a Prime Minister... but after that I have no interest in what happens. That's up to you guys.

If the Republican candidates are so bad, then you really have nothing to worry about. What bothers me the most is you have such critical attitude, and vicious opinions, about Republicans, but have nothing to say about the Democrats and their problems. I try to keep it real here, and I'm not so lost in my political positions that I can't see what's happening on the ground.

Haha very funny if you believe that Trump can beat either Clinton or Sanders, Sorry but no republican or conservative will be the next President. The Republican party is a joke. McCain was probably the last decent Republican candidate who actually supported Health Care reform, believed in Global Warming, etc The Republican party is stuck in their old ways and need to realize that it's the 21'st Century. Marriage is not a Religious matter, Global Warming is a man made problem, Not all Muslims are terrorist. Welfare and Social Security are not a drain on our economy. Well who cares no one listens to crazy liberals. Go on just support Trump the next Hitler and watch the world burn.

You are a cheerleader, and like all cheerleaders you face your side, dance, shout, and pompom your team. The only time you look at the other side, it's to throw a razz, and the entire time you really don't know how the game is played, and fail to glance at the scoreboard. You have received the best indoctrination money can buy, and have been promoted to the prestigious rank of one of the flock. I do wish you the best of luck in your blind ignorance. I have hope that one day you will realize what you have become.

I try to keep it real here, and I'm not so lost in my political positions that I can't see what's happening on the ground.

Because the Democrat race is boring. Hillary will win. Sanders is going to lose the next 5 states according to the polls. I don't know how you can realistically come back from that. He is a nice guy, means well, has some interesting policies, but American politics is not aligned to him.

Clinton is Clinton. She is a reasonable candidate, but carried a lot of baggage. I don't think the email server thing is going to cripple her as much as her critics think because her standing already factors that into account. She is experienced, she has a reasonable platform and has the money and organisational ability to run a decent campaign. If the Republicans put up a moderate, reasonable, candidate with cross party appeal then she would however lose because lets be clear here, she is not a great or even very good candidate.

However the fact of the matter is that whilst the Democract field is not exactly brilliant, it at least has a plausible candidate for the Presidency. The only Plausible republican candidates were Rubio and Kasich, and Rubio just shot himself rather heavily (although could come back) and Kasich is a moderate, experienced candidate with sensible plans and cross party appeal, which does not seem popular with the Republicans right now.

End of the day, you have to be fair confirmation bias towards the REpublicans not to see this as advantage Democrat. A state of affairs I admit I am happy with because no Republican candidate will implement the Paris Climate Change Convention, and I am young enough that I will live to suffer if it is not implemented.

I am anything from a cheerleader, while yes I will call myself Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, even a bit Anarchist, I don't agree with everything that comes from the left. For example on the Republicans side I like Rand Paul and Ron Paul for their Libertarian ideas yes me and libertarians will probably disagree about what the government's role is and how "Big" it should be but we can agree what the corruption of it in general needs to be fix first for anything else to work. While I probably will stay supporting the Democratic or other Left wing parties I am not their Cheerleader and I do have problems with Obama, Hillary and even Bernie for that matter most people will never 100% agree with another person on all issues thats why we must work together to fix problems we have. But the problem we have is the Republican/Conservatives in America don't want to work together and just want to belittle Obama or any other Democrats, they try to attack some minority group and make you blame them for your problems. The Republicans show no respect to Women's rights, to minorites personal liberties. The Republican party right now is just filled with hate.

You begin with describing yourself with a list of political groups that have taken control of the Democrat Party. You may agree with a few Libertarian positions, but only the very few that happen to cross into your idea for a perfect big government world. Just because you want to decriminalize drugs, you don't want the NSA watching you, and you want to audit the Fed because you want to destroy Capitalism... that doesn't make you anywhere near a Libertarian. Libertarians believe the size, power, and scope of the Federal Government are limited within the Constitution. Any power that is not granted in the Constitution is left to the States. So, you playing the Paul card will only insult the intelligence of every single Paul supporter. Above everything else, Rand Paul is a staunch Conservative, and firmly against anything Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, or Anarchist.

You said you "don't agree with everything on the left... for example on the Republicans side"... you failed to tell us anything that you don't agree with on the left.

This entire statement is a complete lie. Republicans have been "compromising" with Liberals, Progressives, and Socialists for over 100 years. The last time Republicans had to "compromise" with Democrats was when they had to literally burn their racist party to the ground. When Obama took office in '09, he never worked with anyone. He said to Nancy and Harry... "Send a bill to my desk, and I'll sign it". He never worked with anyone. When Republicans took over the House... he never worked with them. When Republicans took over the Senate... he never worked with them. What we have seen since he took office has been nothing but signing things he didn't have to work for, or Executive Orders to illegally change laws that the courts have to stop. He has never worked with anyone... ever.

You guys must think that all Republicans are men, and all Republicans are white. What rights are you talking about? Tell my wife she has no respect for women's rights... she is more Conservative than I am. Liberals, Progressives, and Socialists only wish to commit theft, steal, and take... through legislation, that which is not theirs... and you say we are filled with hate. The truth is my friend... you just hate us.

The only reason he has to drop would be to make a statement with an endorsement. Nobody really notices he's still in the race.

Haha Lysistrata you just talked about how it has been the republicans compromising to the liberals. But now with Justice Scalia's death the republicans are again the one's trying to stop Obama's duty as President in appointing another Justice really compromising. This ain't the only time republicans in congress has or tried to block things that Obama or other democrats have tried to push through including but not limited to several job bills, a bill to help vets, etc. The Republican party of today is a snotty kid who only wants things their way. They used the disguise of defending the constitution until it's them who are going against it. But yea just believe whatever Fox News tells you. Now I am not saying that all democrats or liberals are better and haven't done the same thing at some point but don't tell me that under Obama that it's been the Republicans coming to Obama to work things out. Republicans never gave Obama a chance and this is why I can't stand the Republican party and the conservatives that support them. You'll say it ain't racism but whatever it is there has never been this much problem with a President getting this much hate before Obama.

Hello Sir Robert... Fox News was created by Roger Ailes back in 1996. I voted for Ronald Reagan twice... so in realty, I was a Republican long before Fox News was even thought of. I was a CNN watcher until 2001 when the Trade Center was hit. I was talking to my wife on the phone, because she was out of town when it happened, and she called to make sure I knew what had happened. I told her how bad I felt about it... and the news coverage was making me feel worse. She suggested I turn it on Fox News. I have had it on ever since. I finally found a news channel that speaks to my heart. Fox News is not an all Conservative channel. They always have opposition on at the same time. They are the only channel where Conservatives get a fair shake, and that is all I expect from a news channel.

I guess you don't remember when Barack Obama signed the ACA without a single Republican vote of support. He said "I won, so I get what I want... elections have consequences". Now Democrats are expecting Republicans to fix it... uh... No. I guess you don't remember when Harry Reid changed the filibuster rules of the Senate in order to stack the Federal Court with ultra-liberal judges... even after Republicans warned him not to do it and that they would regret it someday. ooops... he's now the minority leader and singing a different tune. The Constitution grants the President with the job of selecting Supreme Court Justices. The Constitution grants the Senate with the job of approving Supreme Court Justices. There is no time limit involved... on either job. Elections have consequences my friend... and Obama will get no one approved to the Supreme Court this year. You'll get over it.

This piqued my interest, what were your reasoning/feelings to trigger the CNN => Fox change?

Bland, over edited, sanitized, politically correct, biased, and just plain unpatriotic... they care too much about their international audience, and protecting their personal political beliefs. Nothing has changed. CNN is more interested in telling the story that they want people to believe, and not the full story that tells people what they need to know. Is that a good enough answer?

Its an answer, which is wat it looked for.

  1. Bland? => You want more gore? News is news, opinions surrounding the news is called interpretation, the second one is always biased, the first shouldn't be.
  2. over edited? => In what way?
  3. Sanitized? => Again, more gore? in Belgium our national channel ads the "the following images may be shocking" when the news being cast asks for it. Perhaps more of that?
  4. Politically correct? => a whole other discussion, mostly going about truth vs feelings. truth vs norm. truth vs morals.
  5. Biased? => see #1
  6. plain unpatriotic? => see #1

Well, I have to agree that CNN has stopped being the default go-to foreign news agency for me a long time ago. I just don't think their quality of reporting is up to par anymore. The BBC used to be a lot better, but lately they seem to follow suite

The BBC are also getting far too government cosy in the run up to Charter renewal.

Cameron proposes to reshuffle his cabinet to get rid of people who dislike his EU negotiation, "Unity Reshuffle."

Rumour that Corbyn proposes a reshuffle, "Corbyn out for revenge."

Well that should be the issue of the "interpretation" side of it, which I don't mind you sticking to. The news itself thou should be just news.

The interrogative words should be used, more specifically the WHO/WHAT/WHERE/WHEN, a caution with HOW (more susceptible to interpretation) and the WHY is the obvious interpretation question (unless the WHY is answered directly by the event parameters (the WHO/WHAT/WHERE/WHEN answers).

if the first 4 words are reported as news correctly, all is fine. The moment a newsagency starts meddling with those, you can scream bias all you'd like :D
