Ohio is sometimes a swing state I believe right Lys?
Described as a "swing state", "purple state", or a "bellwether"... many like to point out that no Republican has ever won the White House without carrying Ohio in the general... but then again those same people used to say that Missouri was never wrong, that they always went with the one that won the White House, but that was put to rest by Barack Obama. He won twice without the help of Missouri. So really, these assumptions are made to be broken.
Who would have believed that Illinois would elect a Republican to the Senate? Even though Kirk will lose this year by a large margin, he still won the seat 6 years ago. Same with Scott Brown in Massachusetts... a Republican taking the seat of a Kennedy? These are merely cases of circumstances. A bad candidate, or a wave movement, can change many things.
