So who wants a browser game with more life than CN and functional (unlike nationsgame)?

I am still committed to beating Cybernations! However I also enjoy playing a game where wars have individual strategy to fight and has far more to do than Cybernations. So it'd be great if you'd like to come and join me and the chaps (and ladies) I'm playing with here.

Good man.

I was sceptical when jess recruited me, but war there is so much fun... and there's a market you can abuse for extra income.

Hell... you can even have your own baseball team if you want (though personally I think they cost more than they make unless you spend a awful lot of time organising games for them.

I have heard people raving about it.  Seems to really improved from the Beta when I played.  Wouldn't be a bad idea to get some IRON guys in another type game that would be interested

How many P&W threads does this make? 4?

It hasn't.

We're also in the middle of a huge debacle where everyone is complaining to Sheepy to keep changing the war system. All because my alliance is at war 24/7 and other people can't handle it. This will be the second game mechanic change coming up that is entirely directed at hurting my alliance. I highly doubt it will be the last, because Arrgh is Arrgh and as long as we raid everyone 24/7, people will complain about the game being broken and Sheepy will keep changing it.

The game is completely inconsistent right now, and all because of some pixel huggers would rather build infra than defend themselves.

Welcome to Foxburo. Population: 10, until the mechanics stop being changed every few months.....  :picard:

what game mechanic are you talking about pacificly? I just got here, so I have no idea.

Seconded, I'm too new to know much. I do know that military buying rules were changed just as I joined though.

I'm here btw - https://politicsandwar.com/nation/id=34001

Basically, ATM, cities are more valuable than infra. More cities and less infra can usually beat less cities and more infra. Overall, this means that small nations with many cities can keep low infra and inflict significant damage on smaller nations. However, this isn't unbeatable. Anyone can use this same exact strategy, which is why my alliance always focuses on cities over infra. Others decide to build up infra, which puts them out of our range and leaves their lower tiers open.

Considering we are raiders who are at constant war, that's just what we do and other major alliances are all butthurt about it. So now Sheepy is going to change the war mechanics (yet again) in order to solve the "Arrgh" problem.

I stopped playing after his last change (which unsurprisingly didn't stop us from doing our thing) and I expect it to keep changing until either everyone quits or Arrgh disappears.

Overall, I'm not going to actually play until people stop bitching about the war system. Because until then, it will just keep changing.

Looking at these Policies, I don't find many of these policy's appealing to me. Except 2, and a few conditional policy's. Course I don't know the in's and outs of Combat yet. Some would help certain peoples play style sure, but some of them, I look at like, the pro don't appeal to me in most situations. Blitzkrieg seems ok, but is the only casualties modifier. Course, I'm guessing it can only be used in the first 24 hours of the war, so ok? Idk, I'm looking for something appealing to my play style that I'd want to play and it seems, limited. idk. I'd need to learn more on the war system to understand the pro's and con's better.

These are completely new and not added to the game yet, I don't think. Blitz IMO, sounds like the one of the least worthwhile ones, since it only lasts 24 hours.

I honestly think the war policies are just a dumb idea. There's no demand or need for them at all. Not even a little bit. But that's what Sheepy is best at. Adding things that don't need to be added. Hence baseball.

Politics and Baseball. :V

This game was actually pretty good at one point... In fact:

I have heard people raving about it.  Seems to really improved from the Beta when I played.  Wouldn't be a bad idea to get some IRON guys in another type game that would be interested

No no. It was far better when you played, I assure you.

Idk, I would Value effectiveness above loot. Loot can be for Pirates. I think it can have a place, But yes, they don't really seem overall enticing. I liked the inflicted causality part of it. I picture allot of people would decided to fight back within the first 24 hours anyways, if at all. So Eliminating the Enemy forces quicker sounds good to me. even a small percentage. This is assuming they act like anything like CN naitons do. usually with a blitz, I see people lose hope and decide to turtle. Essentially, I see it as trying to eliminate them early. Not effective against a duration fight, but for the fight taking place in the beginning and a downward slope cause the enemy gives up seeing how bad he is losing at the beginning, I see it as useful. I see people rage quiting more then exploiting its weakness. So Depending on who your fighting. Plus, you can change policy's mid war from my understanding.

A feature to the war system shouldn't make things overly more confusing, but what makes this new feature more enticing and/more fun to war now. So I understand what your saying, as I don't see an overall appeal.

I don't mind the baseball thing. Its optional. maybe add a better system to it, as its very basic. I mean, very basic.

I have signed up. I am now open for recruitment. B)  So far I have got a good recruitment message from the Black Knights. Although I didnt understand half of what it said. But looking forward to others.

What FF is pointing to is that there are two strategis, shallow and wide or deep and narrow. The first means many cities with low infra counts, great for warring (I did it last war and ripped some nations with nearly twice my resources to shit). The second means you have fewer cities (which are damned expensive) in exchange for infrastructure which allows you to generate more income from those cities. The second leaves you largely self sustained.

Currently you can updeclare  fare more than you can down declare. This means a low tier alliance can have free reign snapping at the heels of (and causing serious damage to) mid tier alliances without the mid tier being able to defend itself.

The easiest solution in my eyes would to be to fix that part of the declaration mechanics as people could then more easily respond to raiders.

I've got nothing against the likes of Arrgh, it's a perfectly sensible style of play based off of the games own mechanics. It's the PW equivalent of being a tech stack.
