When I saw the thread closed, I figured we lynched a townie and I fully intended to lynch Preston right off the bat.

 

The scum played it really well!  i am wondering about King H voting Lego, what was your reasoning?

Very good game, I was always nervous at every stage of the game, starting from Samus suspecting me and King from the beginning, Kevin's bomb, and dammit Preston xD

I almost gave up when Preston watched me, since if I confirm his power I would be killed but if I deny it I would be killed the next day anyway, so yeah that's the best nonsense I can conjure

Also yeah we made lots of mistakes since we weren't expecting that there are lots of PR besides tracker and cop, since we've only got ninja and cop plus almost everyone we hit early are vanillas. Bad conclusion

Same - I watched you on night 3 and saw only Finster, which meant their ninja tried to do the kill. It really threw me off at the time because I wasnt thinking about the ninja possibility... it made me think we had something ELSE that stopped the kill.

A couple thoughts from the mod:

1. It took forever to write the narrative each day/night.. :| I hope you enjoyed it. I tried to keep it as true to the core of the actual story as possible while simultaneously trying to find ways to remove characters. Certain parts actually worked out well with the book (i.e. when Samus was killed it fit with the book where Dumbledore was actually called to the Ministry of Magic and away from Hogwarts, Kevin's death happened at an easy time where Hermione actually parted ways with Harry on his way to stop Quirrell). The most difficult part was when King Hitler was killed early. Obviously i couldn't kill off Quirrell's character in the narrative since he's there in the end so I chose to leave him in the narrative to be "killed off" later.
2. I thoroughly enjoyed the point at which the Godfather became a real consideration for the town to make. At that point Kevin had to question whether any of his investigated results were legitimate.
3. Preston did a great job protecting his role until the very end. This was perhaps the biggest key for the town since it allowed Preston to watch KevinH on night 6 without the Mafia giving a second thought to targeting Kevin.
4. If Preston's role had been known earlier in the game I believe that Lyner would have chosen to target someone other than Kevin on night 6 since Preston would be most likely to watch Kevin. Had this played out Lyner's kill would have been successful on whomever he would have targeted (Preston, Sister Midnight, Wolfpacks) and the town would have been none the wiser. It would have left a very interesting day 7.
5. I figured that Mazuurek's posting/voting patterns would have gotten him lynched earlier. I would have pushed for it if I was a player in this game.

A Watcher would not see a Ninja committing a kill, however, and would receive a "did not see anything" pm in that case.

 

This was the result I received when I watched KH, but not when I tracked Lyner

You really need to be less noobish about mafia ... Tracker and Watcher are different roles. Just decide on who you were.

 

That being said that was just TW's mistake. Ninja should return same result as someone that makes no action. That part you were citing implies that no action taken by watched/ tracked target results in "did not see anything" (as opposed to "No result" you get when you're blocked), same as when watching / tracking Ninja.
