I don't want to be seen as a scum pushing for a lynch. But if we do not lynch someone, there is a fair chance we will lose a townie unless a doctor or bulletproof or something helps. We have a 1/4 chance by pure guesswork if there are 5 scum. Seeing how people react will only increase that.
For instance, 1ceCream reacted in a townie way as I already said. Assuming we clear him and me, and there are 5 scum, that means there is a 32% chance to hit scum. If someone looks scummy, then also increases the probability.

MVP(Mod’s Choice)= Master Samus; I think Master Samus played amazingly for a guy who claims it was his second only mafia game. He never led the town on him and that’s why he deserves this award. He was impressive in manipulating the town that led to the ultimate mafia victory.
Player of Mafia; Master Samus/emudevelopment (shared); I think both were instrumental in the town’s defeat. Both were manipulative and deceptive. They clearly came out as pro-town and looked like de-facto town leaders. They led the lynch wagon w/o anyone uncovering their true motives.
Samus, you should be proud that you've helped make an environment where people feel safe enough to share their experiences.

The 25% figure is just a rough estimate of scum based on past games.
I imagine that there could be as few as 2 scum and 16 townies and still have it balanced.
If I were doing that I would make both scum Godfather-Ninja-Framers <evil grin>.

Long day at work, but happy to have a new mafia game up and started (sucked getting killed N2 last game, I feel you CoD). Good to see people at least talking so far. It's fluff day 1, but sometimes there are mistakes made we can pick up on hopefully.

Ah yes, the time-honored no-lynch debate. I was never fully in favor of that - if we were going to simply no-lynch from the outset why have day 1 at all, and not just start off with scum getting a first swipe at us? Odds of failure may be high, but we'll still gain voting information to begin with.
That said, we're still clearly in the 'fluff' phase of the day, and need to make sure everyone at least says SOMETHING so the game is really underway.

Also, to Town: Lynching is better than not lynching. If we NL, we let mafia get a free kill on us. Even if we lynch one of our own, we still have a chance to hit a scum. NL = 0% hitting scum, scum get a free kill on us in the night. Lynch anyone and we can at least kill a scum. And Death, now that I look at it, I rescind my previous post.
