Also, to Town: Lynching is better than not lynching. If we NL, we let mafia get a free kill on us. Even if we lynch one of our own, we still have a chance to hit a scum. NL = 0% hitting scum, scum get a free kill on us in the night. Lynch anyone and we can at least kill a scum. And Death, now that I look at it, I rescind my previous post.

Why the NL vote then? Did you not vote no lynch before?

You know how low that chance is? If we played mafia in real life, would you really hang a human because there was a small chance he could be scum? I wouldn't, I would only make that decision if there was enough evidence to convince me it was the right decision, but i'm sure mafia wouldn't mind that.

Samus, I know that lynching right now would be pretty hard to accurately hunt scum. I know the morals aren't exactly great. Honestly, right now I'm waiting for something scummy. Still NL.

There comes a time when the town needs to lynch and hope for the best.  This ain't that time.

 

If it's a scum on the block, his buddies won't vote for him and it would take most of the townies to all agree and make a lynch.

 

If it's a townie on the block, a few scum might join in with the other townies in the lynch but everyone will claim that they were acting in the town's interest and we will be down one townie without any strong evidence one way or the other about who is a scum.

Dang, there are a lot of posts already! I am inclined to have a lynching today, largely because it seems to me that not lynching gives scum a free night. I also want to wake up the lurkers and make lurking and not posting at all a non-viable strategy bc it works against town. I'm not talking about people who aren't available, but when I see someone post in 20 threads and be active on discord and not post at all in game that is unacceptable lurking. My decision isn't written in stone, I'd like to see more pro and con discussion.

Its a bit odd that lego is calling out 4/5 of the players in the game already. The game has been open less than 12 hours and we've filled up almost 3 pages and here he is accusing the vast majority of players of not posting enough and repeatedly saying hes a vanilla townie.

Who the hell would play mafia in RL where people actually die? Throughout history you do somewhat see it. But I don't think there's every been 15 people going off to the side and say let's play a game where people die, unless we find scum over a course of a few days.

Here's my reasoning, on the first page he had to say how it would be unlikely that he and the others would be mafia, trying to make him sound like a townie. Second he tried to blame the vote on 1ceCream on me when he voted first, and so mob mentality starting on me, as you can tell, and so I clarified it was a joke, third he role claimed early on, and why I think this is suspicious is so he could make it sound like he's innocent even when people called him out after role claiming early, then he calls out (as chap said) like everyone that hasn't talked while he talks and talks and talks.  Now he's trying way too hard to help out the townies so they think he's the best "team player" ever, which that in itself is just sus as hell. That is my reasoning.

Regarding the whole 1ceCream thing, it looked to me like you were bandwagoning by following my vote, and potentially trying to get him lynched. Your clarification relieved my doubt.

Re the 'former scum likely not scum', this was based on my being innocent, I made a miatake there. I did not know that it was random, I just thought that TW would not assign us 4 former scum the same roles. I know thia i wrong.

COD, your points are valid. I have indeed been 'trying too hard'. I merely wanted to try and help town.

When I play scum I don't post enough and get lynched, when I play town I post too much and get FOS and votes

Sister Midnight -- that is motly mu viewpoint, but like 1ceCream, we do need to make sure it is a scum we lynch, and not a town. Based on previous games and a guess 5 scum sounds reasonable and doing the maths, we have a 1/4 chance of finding them by pure guesswork... but to increase those chnces, probing and prodding is the way to go.

Kevin does make a valid poiny re no of votes --- either need a really scummy person that makes loads of mistakes like me D1 to N2 last game or hope for the best.

Honestly, reading my posts, I honestly would vote for myself right now if I had a multi playing. I have made mistakes. I am trying to do my best. That person by person analysis especially is rather suspicious, but I am also the sort of person that just likes to write their feelings and thoughts... and that is what I am thinking so far.
