Technically I'm/was lynched before the forum issue. Thought it was lynch at 4, but it's 3. So there shouldn't be an extension. Just my death, and then the cold night.

Harry felt great for the next few days. He didn't mind the fact that they still had to care for the Blast-Ended Skrewts in Care of Magical Creatures and Harry and Ron actually enjoyed sitting in a Divination class.

 

After Divination, Harry and Ron made their way back toward Gryffindor Tower. Hermione ran up to them with an excited look on her face. "Harry, you've got to come – you've got to come, the most amazing thing's happened!" She pulled Harry and Ron back down the stairs and towards the Hogwarts kitchens. When they reached the kitchen, a small creature lunged at Harry and threw its arms around Harry's midsection. It was Dobby!

 

"What are you doing here, Dobby?" Harry asked.

 

"Dobby has come to work at Hogwarts, sir. And so has his friend, Winky." Harry and Ron recognized Mr. Crouch's elf behind Dobby. She looked miserable and did not appear to be as well cared-for as Dobby.

 

"Professor Dumbledore has given Dobby a paying job!" Hermione said excitedly. "He's the only elf to receive a salary and time off!"

 

Winky shook her head at Dobby as Hermione spoke. "Winky is a disgraced elf, but Winky is not yet getting paid! Winky is properly ashamed of being freed!" Winky said as she scolded Dobby. Winky went on to talk about her former master, Mr. Crouch. She let slip something interesting that Harry, Ron, and Hermione all picked up on.

 

"Mr. Bagman is a bad wizard! A very bad wizard! Mr. Crouch isn't liking him, oh no, not at all!"

 

Harry, Ron, and Hermione weren't sure what the issue was between Barty Crouch and Ludo Bagman but they left the kitchens wondering what Winky was talking about.

 

Professor McGonagall had a surprise announcement for the Gryffindors in Transfiguration the next day. "The Yule Ball is approaching! It is a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament and an opportunity for us to socialize with our foreign guests." The girls all giggled with delight while the boys quietly groaned. McGonagall pulled Harry aside after the lesson and explained to him that it was tradition for the Triwizard Champions to open the Yule Ball with a dance. Harry was terrified. He had never been to a dance, nor asked a girl out before. He immediately thought of Cho Chang whom he had had a crush on for awhile.

 

At lunch that afternoon, Fred and George sat around joking. They asked Ron and Harry if they had asked anyone to the ball yet, to which they both replied "no". "You better get a move on or all the good ones will be gone!" Fred chuckled.

 

"I'm going to take the best looking girl who'll have me, even if she's completely horrible," Ron said arrogantly. Hermione scoffed at him and stood up from the table.

 

The next day, Harry finally worked up the courage to ask Cho if she would accompany him to the dance. "I'm sorry Harry," she said looking truly sorry, "I have already agreed to go with Cedric Diggory." Harry was disappointed and embarrassed. He slowly walked back to the Gryffindor Common Room where he found Ron in a similar state.

 

"Ron asked Fleur Delacour to the ball!" Ginny said to Harry. "Actually he sort of screamed at her. It was quite terrifying really. She was standing there in the Entrance Hall talking with Cedric Diggory, and he just sort of yelled it at her."

 

Ginny went on to tell Ron that Neville had asked Hermione to the dance. This actually made Ron feel better as he sort of laughed. "I'm sure that Hermione just told Neville that she's going to the dance with someone else to avoid him." The portrait hole swung open and Hermione stepped into the room.

 

"Hey, Hermione.. Neville's right - you are a girl.. Why don't you go to the dance with Harry or I?"

 

A disgusted look spread across Hermione's face again. "I can't," she yelled at Ron. "Just because it's taken you three years to notice, Ronald Weasley, doesn't mean that no one else has spotted I'm a girl!"

OH NO!!! Not Robert!

I guess I better role claim, I am Fred Weasley, a 2-Shot Roleblocker. Last night I blocked KitKat. Which is means that unless he's a strongman, which is unlikely given that we lynched sa strongman, he's town. I used my other role block on Yehom on the night before he died, so that was a waste.

At this point, I think there is one scum left. I know I'm town, and since blocking KitKat didn't prevent a kill, that leaves COD and SBG. This is it, either we lynch scum and win, or we kill town and then there's one scum and one townie left. Would that make it a draw?

I'd like to hear from the incredibly silent COD and SBG.

I'm at a loss for words. I was so certain Isocialism was scum. That was definitely a shocker. Sorry Isoc for the mislynch.

I believe SM's claim as she's been coming on pretty town like throughout the game.

I was going to go into today confused about whether it was Cod or Kit; but thanks for SM above. That leaves us with 1) SM is false claiming. Or 2) CoD is scum.

Given my concerns about CoD throughout the game, I'm more for the latter.

I'm a Vanilla Townie. I'd have to search through my messages for a name but we all know scum have safe names so I don't see a use to looking for it.

Anyway at this point CoD will vote for me and the game is between whatever decision SM and Kit Kat make.

Anyway. Good luck town; let's see how we do.

Ugh. How on earth do I figure out if SM is false claiming or not. I mean, she has seemed pretty townie throughout the game. But she could just be good at what she does.

 

SM, out of SBG and CoD, who do you think it is? I'm inclined to think the latter, but that's purely based on hunches. I really don't have time to read through 20 pages at the moment (I'm teaching law and I have classes to prepare for.) Could you read over some and see if you can pick up anything?

 

I also want to hear from CoD.

I'm leaning toward COD, but SBG is always scum. I suppose the odds of him being scum again are slim, but still, he's scum every game. My gut says COD, but I thought you were scum, that's why I blocked you. If I voted right now I'd go COD.

This week has been crazy busy so i must have rushed through my post.

On a side note, I think I was only scum for the first 3 games. Still crazy odds but I don't believe I was scum EVERY HP game.

I probed COD, no motion. So COD couldn't be the killer. Rhizo likely used his role block. (At least I hope he tried somebody unless he didn't read my post.

 

No motion from Cod pretty much eliminates him as my second suspect I had. I'm positive Isocilaism is our 3rd scum.

Robert likely would have targeted SBG last night, therefore killing him with that in mind would set SBG up as a suspect for the town, but I think thats too obvious going into the final day.

 

Therefore, I think SM is the scum. SM may have had a town feel to her play thus far, but she never actually added anything substantial to the conversation. She kept her post count and activity high without actually taking the spotlight ever, and without ruffling any feathers which is always a red flag for me.. Also are we going to ignore that shes claiming a 2-shot roleblocker and saying shes just now used her 2nd shot on night 6???? Seems a bit strange that she would hold on to it for so long and then use it and claim in a situation where if shes scum she could set the debate for town to be between 2 townies which is win win for her.

Here's something we could consider: don't lynch anyone this round. Scum will kill someone overnight. That reduces our chances of lynching the wrong person by one. Tomorrow the two townies and the scum will remain, and town will have to lynch then. Better odds than we've currently got. If we lynch today and get it wrong then we've lost anyway.

 

CoD could be a ninja. I find it suspicious that he was the one who gave the lengthy explanation as to why it was unlikely that we're facing a ninja. >_> Do we really want to fix our hopes of winning on speculation about whether the scum team would've been too strong with a ninja?

I was actually starting to get convinced SBG could be scum, based upon COD's post, that's where all his quotes were leading, but then he turns around and votes for me. Very weird and very scummy!

Both of these posts have the ring of townie about them. I mean, it's not much to go on, but it's what I happen to think. I think it's either SM or CoD, and of those two I'd pick the latter, but I'm really not certain at all. Penny for your thoughts, SBG?

If I were scum I would have just voted SBG and hoped for town to lynch him in the confusion. Alas I'm not and therefore this play accomplishes nothing because I believe hes a townie being misled. (I've been scum once already in the HP games, that would mean I've been scum 50% of the time if I were scum this game, and SM would have been scum 0% of the time..... seems to be a bit unlikely compared to both being scum once over a 4 game period.) 

 

If I were scum I would HAVE to be a ninja. No such stipulation exists for SM. Again, the odds aren't exactly favoring the scenario where I am scum.

OK. Having reread the last 10 pages again (albeit not in *THAT* much depth, it was half reading, half skim reading, I focused on the posts from relevant people) I'm voting for SM unless something changes (for example, if SBG has something interesting to say.) As CoD says she talked a lot which shows that she was active but didn't actually say much of substance, especially in important discussions like whether to lynch Wolfpacks (although she says she wasn't around for rl reasons at that time...) She wasn't on the wagon for either Canik or Wolfpacks (even though Canik in particular was a really obvious scum.) She also pushed really hard to kill Yehom, and was the third vote needed to kill him when TW took him out of the game.

 

And it does seem suspicious that SM supposedly saved up her action for the sixth night just when it was most convenient to cause confusion and get a possible ally onside.

 

My only other comment is.... it's either SM or CoD. Both were checked by Robert and both came up clean. So either one is a ninja, or else SM wasn't the mafia nominated to kill the victim that night.

I tell a lie. I *DO* have something else to say. I visited SM's profile and went through her posts on the IRON forums outside of the mafia threads in the lead up to Wolfpacks' lynching. She was telling the truth that she wasn't around in the couple of days that led up to that. So in fairness, it's important to point out that may have been the reason she didn't vote Wolfpacks. 

 

She did however post other stuff on the forum on the same day that Wolfpacks was killed, almost exactly two hours after the fact. TW announced the lynch at 9:48am and she posted elsewhere at 11.45am.

I did not see the lynch until too late. If you vote for me we will lose. I am town. I just made sure everyone knows you are town. No one will vote for you unless they are scum. I could have made a case for you being scum if I were scum, the last thing I would do is exonerate anyone. There are 2 potential scum: SBG and COD. COD gave weird reasons for voting for me and everyone is buying it. Cod has been invisible and or scummy through this game. Look at his participation and voting and compare it with mine..
