I will give that the statement "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration PERIOD. Both in person and around the globe." might make it seem that he pools the 2 (in person AND global) into 1 number, and sure that will probably have been the most to this date (know we have 8 years of technology between them).

 

But from what I understand of the english (or american ) language is that the above statement DOES NOT mean to pool the 2 numbers together, it states that either number is "the largest ever", which is obviously wrong from both police reports and actual pictures taken of the crowd on the Mall. Heck I would have less minded them complaining that it was less due to weather and ongoing/announced manifestation (wit accompanied violence), cause that would have been based in factual information.

Can someone explain to me why the bust was such a big issue? Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Churchill, but I don't really see why his bust needs to ABSOLUTELY be in the White House of all places.

The Bust of Winston Churchill was a gift to President Bush. When Barack Obama took office, he had the bust boxed up and delivered to the British Embassy, and replaced with a bust of Martin Luther King. It's no secret that Obama is no fan of colonialism... his father was from Kenya... so it was an obvious insult, and became a really painful sore to all of us that cherish our history. Prime Minister Theresa May will be coming to meet with Trump on Friday, and we'll be making things great again.

 

Trump's health plan is working as planned... he got more fat women out walking in a single day than Michelle Obama did in eight years... and it only cost the taxpayers the price of cleaning up the mess. Making America great again, one day at a time.

Trust me... I'm utterly amazed that I have the opportunity to begin to even the score. Have you seen the vile things the "tolerant" left is saying about us? I guess that "Love Trumps Hate" slogan was only okay when Hillary was a shoe-in.

Bill is a perv, that is an established fact. As for the bust...I mean, it was a nice gift, but I don't see why it should be in the oval office of all places instead of your own historical figures. After all, WC did a lot of stuff...for Great Britain! Not the US.

As for the protesters, they should get on with their lives. Trump is president, it's a done deal. So far he hasn't done anything horrible, give the guy a chance. When he's planning to do some sort of shit move, like restricting abortions or such, THEN come out and protest. In that case neutral parties will stand with you instead of seeing this charade as whiny people bitching about not getting their way.

I have a short list of personal heroes, and Winston Churchill, in my opinion, is one of the greatest men who ever lived. I have been asked several times in my life if I had a chance to have a conversation with anyone, living or dead, who would it be? Churchill would be one I would strongly think about. If it wasn't for Winston Churchill, and all my brave British cousins... we would have lost World War II. There are some of us here in the USA that still know the truth, and we will not allow it to be forgotten.

 

There is a new series on Netflix called "The Crown"... John Lithgow as Winston, during his final years in public life... it's amazing... and I am waiting patiently for the release of Christopher Nolan's next film entitled "Dunkirk". It's high time we see this story, and maybe we can remember, just for a couple hours, what real men do when all you have left is hope.

Thats why I like my newspaper, it's a day old so they can atleast get the complete story. We shouldn't rail against "MSM" (Mass Social Media, whatever that means anyway?) but against "SCOOP SCOOP, see this unverified and totally crazy headline!" types of news.

Frank Luntz is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and this is the literal description of disgusting. I am optimistic about the future, but I am also a realist, and I believe Mr. Luntz is correct about this. This is not the end of it... it's the beginning. It's what happens when we're dealing with zealots that have developed their entire world view after one night smoking a doob with their college professor while listening to a John Lennon song. You can tell how successful any group will be by counting how many American flags you can see... that are not in flames naturally. These people will lose, and the longer it takes for them to realize it, the uglier the loss will be for them. We're ready... have been for years.

Saw this video on Youtube and I wanted to share it here. After watching several others like it, reading a lot of material on the protests, speaking to some close friends and family, I've come to a few conclusions.

 

So much for tolerant progressives... Seriously though, keep on protesting and rioting. The rest of the country is seeing the true colors of the left and are getting sick of it.

 

Your candidate lost the election. Do you:

A: Reform your party, prepare for the next election, and choose a better candidate?

Or

B: Blame everyone but yourself, throw temper tantrums, and riot?

 

The smart choice is A. But go ahead and pick B. Because as long as this crap goes on, it gives Trump a better chance of winning reelection in 4 years. All they are doing is driving away Moderate voters with this extremist behavior. My wife and I spent some time with friends last night (none of whom voted for Trump, they all voted 3rd party), and they told us they can't believe how Democrats are acting. That how can you take people that act like this seriously? All 3 of them agreed they no longer will put up with this toxic behavior IRL or social media, that the left is demonstrating. The negativity and emotional upset was understandable in the beginning, but now it is just comes off as pathetic. Other moderates I spoke to over the weekend reflected the same things my friends said last night. Democrats lost the House, the Senate, the White House, and most state governments. How many times do they have to lose before they start to realize its not because of us, maybe its themselves?

 

At least the majority of the arrested individuals are facing Federal Rioting charges. With the possibility of up to 10 years in prison.

You would be hard pressed to find another company that has been more supportive of Democratic candidates, or the social issues that are so important to them... than Starbucks. Great coffee, but they are so left I can't stay inside their stores very long. To me, it's like a science fiction movie, when the lead dude has to enter the radiation chamber wearing a special suit that just buys him some time. He has to get in and do what needs to be done, and get out before he dissolves. That's me getting some fine java at Starbucks.

 

So I can't understand why they destroyed that Starbucks... it's like robbing your friends.

He has also placed a freeze on all Federal hiring... except the US Military. Very cool. Now he needs to kick about 50% of the Federal salaries to the private sector. This is Donald Trump... he will have one guy doing the same job that 50 did under Obama.

No... he reinstated a Reagan policy of no Federal funding to foreign organizations that perform abortions.

 

You guys have to get a grip on this, and get your facts straight, because Planned Parenthood will soon lose Federal subsidies. Planned Parenthood is not a government program, and is not under any threat of being closed down. Planned Parenthood is a private business. They do not need Federal funding to do their business. They are in the business of abortion. By Federal law, the US Government cannot fund abortions.

 

You can get all the abortions you want... just not with taxpayer money. Planned Parenthood saying they don't use taxpayer money for abortions is like the US Military saying they don't use taxpayer money to kill people... it's total nonsense.
