[TW-06] Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Mafia - Mafia Win!

Featured Replies

Chaplain of Death - No RC

Finster Baby, - RC.  Believe Him

FS108 - Neighbor, believe he's town since we found the scum in the group of neighbors

KevinH - No RC

King Cankles - RC Cop, believe him

Kitkat16 - RC Tracker, Results are already known

LordSunday - RC VT, leaning more town for me

Lyner - No RC

Rhizoctonia - RC Doctor, its me

SeaBeeGipson- No RC

Wolfpacks - RC Neighbor, like FS108, believe he's town

Yehom - No RC

This is mainly for myself, and basing off RC's at this point.  So assuming we have 3 more scum left, we're looking at 3/7 chance of hitting right.

Mislynch Opportunities:

Mislynch D4 - Looking at 10T/3S come D5

Misylnch D5 - Looking at 8T/3S come D6

Mislynch D6 - Looking at 6T/3S Come D7

Mislynch D7 - Looking at 4T/3S come D8

So unless they have a scum Vig ability, we have 4 mislynches we can do without hitting a scum if I'm thinking correctly (it's 2 AM my time, my math might suck).  What I see, is 7 possible scum, including the two RC'd ones that either have conflicting result or I think conveniently using known information for their RC.  So we have 4 chances to miss out of 7 possibilities.

This is just for me and anyone wanting to see the breakdown of where we stand at this point.  What I do believe we have is 5 confirmed town that I honestly believe and aren't worried about.

Will catch up once im on my computer, however you seem to think that i feel i should be a confirmed townie. I don't. In fact i was a bit suspicious of you for saying i was at first but just pegged it as thinking i was likely town. My only purpose in pointing out where i sit on peoples lists is that I've been moved lower with no reason. Easier for scum to paint me as a suspect before they try to push a lynch later. Not saying that's what's happening but its definetly an interesting shift that i took notice of today.

Where you sit on people's list?  I've hardly seen anyone present a full list of their feelings of town or scum of each person, so I don't get how you can say you've been moved down.  SBG makes a list, you're not in the upper echelon and suddenly now it's multiple people, or being in a SBG's grouping above quite a few is somehow lowering you.  I haven't seen anyone suddenly shift you to being a top suspect or really in any talks of being a suspect at all at this point.  I see literally zero shift that you're claiming, outside of me.

In fact, I think I've been one of the few that have been outspoken in my feelings you had a higher probability of being town.  Mostly your name hasn't come up outside of today because you've been fairly quiet.  If anyone's opinion of you has gone down from being more comfortable you were town and now not as confident is me.  My reasoning for thinking you were town was your early vote on SLMK (after FB), and the fact I protected you N2 and no kill happened.  Now that we know Isocialism really did block SBG the night there wasn't a kill which could of prevented it, or now we know SM was a commuter and could of used it explaining the no kill makes me question which action was it.  That, and now knowing that at least 2/3rds of the remaining scum helped lynch their scum partner SLMK, and possibly all 3 of the remaining scum if Kitkat is town as well.

So yea, the town points that you had with me that made me more confident have now dwindled when there's 2 other scenario's that could of prevented a kill N2, and the fact that there's at least 2 if not 3 scum involved with lynching SLMK.  Your town points for being on the lynch of a scum are not as meaningful when it's known a lot of scum were involved in it.  Being an early vote on a sinking ship of a scum also would be a very smart move to make.  I think my reasoning is just, though you say you've been lowered supposedly for no reason.

I'm not saying you're scum.  Just simply I am not so sure as I once was you are town.

Your results you gave are someone who is now dead and can't deny or agree, my N2 action which is common knowledge since I did it, and SBG who if his claim is correct is said to be VT which he said yesterday. How about no.

Vote: KitKat

Why would it make any difference if she was alive? She was a commuter. There's no advantage to voting a dead player, at least not SM. I could easily have picked FS or WP who are VT, what difference would it have made whether they would verify anything?

As for SBG, I voted for him on D3 before switching my vote to you. I was suspicious of him and it hadn't emerged at that point that SM was a commuter, so I wasn't to know there were other possibilities. It's entirely plausible that I would investigate someone I actually voted to lynch, after you came out as doctor.

As for the inference that you were scum based on having a PR: as I already said, my FoS wasn't based purely on that fact. You were aggressively pushing to lynch a townie (and me, for that matter.) It simply added to my reasons for thinking you were scum. Put it this way: if you'd come up as VT, I would have been less suspicious of you (at least to some degree.)

Lastly, I reiterate that I didn't need to roleclaim. I was under suspicion, but not immediate pressure of being lynched. The wagon was forming on LS. It would have been cleverer to wait it out, if I were scum.

You claim to tracked SM, she's dead, and her role is now for sure known.  It's quite easy to use her in your fake RC since 1.  I don't know if a tracker would get any result anyway, 2.  If she's dead and you would she's not around to say anything.  So your roleclaim you picked someone, whose role is now exposed and an easy claim to make.  Then your next day you claim to had followed me on CoD.  This, already information that I've given out yesterday, and easy for you to claim.  And finally you pick SBG that he said yesterday when Isocialism RC'd that he didn't have an ability to use.  All 3 are known things, all 3 are easy claims to make.

I was actively pushing a lynch on a town yesterday?  You didn't know Isocialism was for sure town yesterday so don't give me that.  Well you would, if you were scum and know who town is, which is what I've already alluded to a scum likely trying to do, actively look to defend a known town so if they're lynched you look town.

And hell, SBG could be your little scum buddy as well, who will come out and verify he didn't do an action again, which if he's telling the truth yesterday he didn't have one.  I don't know if you're trying to include him so if you're lynched there is separation between the two of you.

I've believed there's 1 scum between the two of you for how actively you tried to defend Isocialism, and been waiting all day to see.  Now I'm starting to believe it's you.

Your reasoning for suspecting me as scum makes zero sense.  If you saw I followed someone, and that person wasn't killed, its a lot more likely I had a town PR then a scum.  Finding I visited someone could be a multitude of things, and you actively pushing for people to jump on my wagon at the end of D2 trying to make me RC was stupid going off I visited someone and they survived.

All your claims are easy for you to make, known knowledge, and way too easily faked.

OK. So why wouldn't I have picked a living VT instead of SM, then? You're reading too much into the fact that she's dead.

So what if SBG claimed not to have a power? Yes, there were other possibilities as to what happened that night, but the fact remains that he was roleblocked and was therefore a reasonable option to investigate.

I didn't know that iSoc was town for sure, no. Nothing in my post claims I did. I simply saw someone with a PR aggressively pushing to kill someone who had just claimed JOAT when it was incredibly risky to do so if he *WAS* scum. (Plus, you kept accusing me of being scum based on flimsy evidence, which didn't give you townie points in my eyes.) And I was right. As you can see from perusing my posts I wasn't sure what to think about LS at first, but given his weird behaviour later decided he was likely town (and then changed my mind again and wasn't sure what to think towards the end of that day.)

Let me spell it out: there was a strong case you were scum that day even if you hadn't flipped as having a PR on N2. I and lots of other people thought so, including iSoc.

Wrong, you did claim it.  You said your FOS wasn't based purely on my PR but that I was aggressively pushing a lynch of a townie, for which if you're town you wouldn't know until after he was lynched that he was.

How can you claim you weren't sure Isocialism was town, when you claim that I gained FOS from aggressively pushing a lynch of a townie.  If you didn't know Isocialism wasn't town, then my aggressive push and calling him out would not be suspicious.  And you were right about what, that Isocialism is town?  Yea, not hard if you're a scum and know he's town.  You weren't right about me being scum or right about trying to push a late day wagon on me to force a RC, were you?

I'm not reading into anything too much, I'm simply stating all your actions are easily faked because you're using information that's already out there.  There's no new information, and there's nothing to deny it, because all the information is already been out there.

I was obviously speaking in retrospect when I said that you were aggressively pushing to lynch a townie. I was *not* saying that at the time I knew for sure he was town. I wouldn't make such a dumb and easily disprovable claim.

It seems that role-claiming is the popular thing to do.

Role-claiming only gives the scum more information but my role is such that I don't think it matters.

I have nothing to share with the town and nothing to prove it, but I am Poppy Pomfrey, the Town Nurse.

If a doctor dies, I become a doctor.

This claim might dissuade the scum from killing Rhizo since I'll take his role after he dies.

I was already suspicious of Kitkat, but this role claim tops it all of. So far it seems like all power roles have targeted all the same people, how convenient. Still don't know what to make of LS, so for me Kitkat is the most obvious suspect, even thought the spotlight has been on LS the entire time.

Vote Kitkat

Looks like I mistook lists made by LS and Cankles who were listing out only "confirmed" townies as people who've role claimed and not been countered + LS for a clear investigation result. Reading back they were very cut and dry lists of basically whos claimed, thats my mistake. I just thought it was odd I was being grouped with people who've contributed less and are under suspicion for specific reason but given that those 2 lists were just about who had role claimed that makes much more sense.

Sorry, the only townie thing from your RC is the tracker claim, which is a pretty good risk for scum to claim.

If you didn't feel pressured and you didn't have anything beneficial to share, why RC at all?

For @Kitkat, obviously

Sorry, the only townie thing from your RC is the tracker claim, which is a pretty good risk for scum to claim.

I guess he resigned and felt he'd RC before he left. Either way his RC is false. I'm grawp. A hider.

I stated a roleblock was pointless as night 1 and 2 I had no action. Hiding is a weak role from the wiki and would result in my death should I hide on a scum or someone who was targetted. N3, I wanted to hide behind Rhizo as his doctor claim was fairly positive but instead choose Wolfpacks. I can say 100%, WP is town as I'm still here. Hence my concerns that if there is 2 scum on the neighbors, FS is most likely it.

I did not want to RC as RC hider seems as pointless as bottled air. But with KitKat RC, I can tell you it's false.

Classes began the next morning. First up was History of Magic (Zzzzz..) with Professor Binns, followed by Potions with Snape, and Divination with Professor Trelawney. Harry's first three classes of the term did not brighten his mood. History of Magic was as painfully boring as ever. Snape insulted Harry and his potion in potions class, and Professor Trelawney assigned them a task to interpret their dreams. Harry already knew what his nightmare in a graveyard was about though..

Finally that afternoon was their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class with Umbridge. Professor Umbridge waddled into the room and instructed the Gryffindors to put their wands away and take out their books. "This year we will be following a carefully structured, theory-centered, Ministry-approved course about defensive magic," she told them. A small uproar followed. Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dean, and Parvati Patil all spoke up against the "theory-centered" course.

"What good is theory going to do us when we are out in the world and under attack?" Harry said to Umbridge.

Professor Umbridge did her stupid little laugh as she smiled back at Harry. "Who on earth would want to attack a bunch of children?" she asked him.

"Oh, I don't know," Harry replied. "Maybe Lord Voldemort."

Seamus rolled his eyes and Professor Umbridge's face was frozen with a mix of bewilderment and anger. "Let me make this quite clear," she said. "You have been told that a certain dark wizard is at large once again. This is most certainly a lie."

"IT IS NOT A LIE! I SAW HIM! I FOUGHT HIM! SO ACCORDING TO YOU CEDRIC DIGGORY DROPPED DEAD OF HIS OWN ACCORD?! He shouted at her.

"ENOUGH MR. POTTER! 10 points will be taken from Gryffindor and you are to deliver this note to your head of house informing her that you have been given detention." With that, Professor Umbridge excused Harry from class.

Harry delivered the note to Professor McGonagall. She read it and warned him that "he had to be more careful and use his common sense. You know where she comes from and to whom she must be reporting." Harry's detention was to take place this week every evening.

At dinner that night Harry could hear people muttering about his scene in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Hermione leaned in and tried to level with Harry. "It's just that.. before what happened last year could really sink in to people.. they went home for the summer and were continually reading about how you were a nutcase and Dumbledore was going senile." After dinner they made their way back to the common room to start on their homework. They had just sat down when Hermione noticed Fred and George were up to something. They were testing their Skiving Snackboxes on a bunch of first years. Hermione yelled at them and told them for the second time that she didn't want to see them testing their products on first years. Instead of detention she told them that she would be sending a letter to Mrs. Weasley. Fred and George thought this was a far worse punishment than detention.

The next morning, both Professor Flitwick (Charms) and Professor McGonagall (Transfiguration) lectured the student son how important this year was for them since they would be taking their OWLs at the end of the year. Angelina Johnson confronted Harry at dinner that evening. She was the new Gryffindor Quidditch Captain and had just found out that Harry had landed himself in detention already for 5:00 on Friday evening. She told Harry to try to get out of it since that would be when the Gryffindor team would be holding Keeper tryouts and she wanted him to be there.

When Harry arrived at Umbridge's Office that evening he knew what the answer was going to be before he even asked. Umbridge flatly refused his request to postpone his Friday detention. Harry asked her what he would be doing for detention.

"You will be doing lines for me tonight, Mr. Potter."

Harry sat down at the desk in the middle of Umbridge's Office and opened his bag to pull out a quill. "No, no," she said as she handed him one of her quills. "you will be using a very special quill of mine."

"What would you like me to write?" Harry asked.

"I must not tell lies," she replied.

"How many times?"

"As many times as it takes for the message to sink in, I'd say."

Harry began scribbling on his parchment. He was a few lines in when he realized that his hand had started burning. He stopped to rub the back of his hand and noticed that the words: "I must not tell lies" had been cut into his hand. Every time Harry wrote a line it would carve the words into his skin only to heal itself over instantly when he was finished. As soon as he would begin a new line the words would be carved out again.

After several hours of this Professor Umbridge checked Harry's hand. "Tut, tut. I don't seem to have made much of an impression yet. I guess we'll just have to try again tomorrow evening, won't we?"

Harry had to wake up extra early the next morning to finish all of his homework since he couldn't do it in detention. this caused Harry's classes to go poorly all day. The next detention was just as bad but Harry was proud that he was not showing the pain that he was feeling. He even managed to hide his scars from the blood quill from Ron and Hermione. Harry was exhausted all the time because of trying to fit in his homework whenever he could. He had noticed that Ron seemed overly exhausted as well but he wasn't sure why.

On his way back from detention the next night Harry ran into Ron in the common room. Ron confessed to Harry that he thought he'd tryout for the open Gryffindor Keeper position. Harry was thrilled and thought that it'd be great to have Ron on the team. While they were talking, Ron finally noticed the mark on the back of Harry's hand that had begun to scar over. Harry told him what Umbridge had been making him do. "The old hag! She's sick," Ron exclaimed. Harry refused to go to McGonagall or Dumbledore about it though when Ron suggested it.

On Friday night Harry began scribbling on lines again and his hand started bleeding freshly. He tried to sneak a couple peeks of the Quidditch tryouts through the window while writing his lines. Finally, Umbridge walked over to him again to examine the back of his hand to see how scarred it was. The moment she took his hand pain seared through him, but it didn't generate from his hand, but the scar on his forehead. Professor Umbridge smiled at him and said "Yes, it hurts doesn't it?" Harry wasn't sure if she was talking about his hand or his forehead. Harry was so freaked out by the suspicion that Umbridge was somehow connected to Voldemort that he wasn't even that excited when Ron told him that he'd been selected as the new Gryffindor Keeper.

Later that evening, Harry told Hermione about his suspicion that Umbridge was tied to Voldemort. She urged him to tell Professor Dumbledore that his scar was hurting. "Yes, my scar. That's the only part of me that Dumbledore seems to care about anyway," Harry replied curtly.

Harry woke up early the next morning to write to Sirius. It was hard to write something in a letter that was supposed to be top secret while still keeping the information secure in case it was intercepted. He managed to get the point across that Umbridge was a horrible person and that his scar had been burning while he was in detention with her. Harry went to the Owlery to give his letter to Hedwig. He turned around to leave and ran into Cho Chang who had just arrived. He stopped to chat with her for a few minutes and she told him how she thought Umbridge was a really foul person for giving him detention for telling the truth about You-Know-Who and that she thought he was really brave to stand up to her. The fact that she believed him made Harry feel 100 times better.

Suddenly Filch ran into the Owlery. "Ah ha! I've had a tip-off that you were intending to place a massive order for dungbombs!" He accused Harry.

"No I wasn't," Harry replied. Filch ordered Harry to turn out his pockets.

"I've already seen him send off his letter." Cho told Filch. Harry couldn't believe it - Cho lied for him. Harry had no idea who would have given Filch the idea that he was going to order dungbombs.

When Harry got back to Gryffindor Tower he picked up a copy of the Daily Prophet. There was an article saying that Sirius Black had been spotted in London. Harry thinks that it was Lucius Malfoy who tipped off the paper after recognizing Sirius' dog form at the train station. There was also an article that Sturgis Podmore had been charged with trespassing and attempted robbery at the ministry of Magic. Podmore was supposed to be one of Harry's guards to the train station. He had been sentenced to 6 months in Azkaban.

Things only got worse at Quidditch practice that afternoon. Ron was a disaster. The Slytherins watching the practice would howl with laughter every time he made a mistake. He even hit Katie Brown in the face with the Quaffle and she had to be taken to the Hospital Wing. After practice Harry and Ron had to try to catch up on homework. They had just started when Percy Weasley's owl Hermes showed up out of the blue with a letter for Ron. The letter congratulated Ron on becoming a Prefect and noted how it appeared that Ron was starting to really think about his future. To protect his future, Percy goes on to say that Ron should start severing ties with Harry Potter. "It may be that you are afraid to sever ties with Potter – I know that he can be unbalanced and, for all I know, violent – but if you have any worries about this, or have spotted anything else in Potter's behavior that is troubling you, I urge you to speak to Dolores Umbridge, a truly delightful woman." He went on to tell Ron that Dumbledore's regime at Hogwarts may soon be over and that Ron should be loyal to the Ministry. Ron, with a disgusted look on his face, tore up the letter and threw it into the fireplace.

Just then Sirius' face appeared in the flames! He had been waiting for the area to clear before staying around to chat. He told Harry, Ron, and Hermione what all had been going on. He talked about Sturgis Podmore and how he was taken to Azkaban and was being held in a cell near his deranged cousin Bellatrix. He also told them briefly what some of the Order was working on and said that with Voldemort back, Mad-Eye had been actively scouring his network for anything he could find. He also told Harry that with Voldemort back it was likely that his scar would hurt more frequently. he went on to tell them some stuff about Umbridge including the fact that two years ago she had sponsored a piece of legislation aimed at preventing part-humans (like Lupin) to get jobs. Sirius then confirmed that Hagrid had been on a mission for the Order and should have been back by now, even though he wasn't worried about him.

Finally he told them that the Ministry did not want them using spells in Defense Against the Dark Arts because Fudge was afraid that Hogwarts students would form a private army for Dumbledore if they were trained in combat. Sirius told them that he wanted to meet them in Hogsmeade during the next weekend trip in his dog form. Both Harry and Hermione told him that it was too dangerous and that he shouldn't do it. Sirius was clearly offended by Harry's refusal and told him that he seemed less like James every day because the danger would have been what made it fun for James. With that, Sirius disappeared from the fire.

Bellatrix Lestrange (Kitkat16), a Death Eater Framer, is still in Azkaban on day 4.

Mad-Eye Moody (King Cankles), an Order of the Phoenix Auror, is preoccupied with Order business on night 4.

It is now day 5.

Auror = cop? Can we get a confirmation on that, because I'm not familiar with the whole Harry Potter jargon.

http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Auror

How did the cop die when we have a doctor? Rhizo, Did you protect KC?

Good kill on kitkat.

Still wondering why your protection was blocked Rhizo.

Because the doctor was exposed? It was pretty obvious who I was gonna save. I just figured I would be killed last night because they knew I would protect him, but since we had a JOAT maybe they did

Ok - lessee here.

Chaplain of Death: I have no idea, really.

Finster Baby: Town - RC Hagrid, 2-shot Roleblocker. I used my 2nd shot on KevinH last night, no result.

FS108: Was neighbor with MK and WP. Could potentially be scum, but I give him 60% town for now.

KevinH: Lean scum based on inactivity, but only a bit, as if he had a night role I suspect he would have run with it and I'd have blocked him.

LordSunday: Town - Investigated by cop, was framed by KitKat.

Lyner: Lean town. He's been scum hunting, led wagon on KitKat

Rhizoctonia: Town. RC Cop. I believe him.

SeaBeeGipson: Not sure. Lean scum, based on posts and voting, but could flip flop.

Wolfpacks: Town - Investigated by cop

Yehom: I have no idea, really.

So based on 4to 5 scum, and 2 dead, the remaining scum are between CoD, KevinH, SBG and Yehom. My educated guess is 2 or 3 of those 4 are scum.

Not ready to FOS yet.

Also, I will likely need to be replaced. I leave for vacation on Saturday and won't have much access.

Lynch of Kitkat

Those who didn't vote:

Chaplain of Death

FS108

Wolfpacks

KevinH

2 of the 4 that didn't vote are the neighbors, who I still believe are likely town.  Though FS108 made off the wall remarks that didn't make sense yesterday, but still think he's likely town as I expect there was 2 town Neighbors and 1 scum and we got the scum.

My guess is we have 2 out of 4 total scum, that leaves 2 that didn't vote.  Those are certainly under my radar.  Though scum could of jumped on the wagon when it was gone that way.

My top suspect is Kevin.  He roleclaimed near the end of the day with a role that's easy for a scum to claim, and a role I really doubt is in the game, a backup Doctor.
