Can anyone explain what the difference is between a watcher and a motion detector?

 

The Tracker learns who a player targeted, but not what action that player performed.
The Follower learns what action a player performed, but not who that player targeted.
The Watcher learns who targeted a player, but not what actions were performed on them.
The Voyeur learns what actions were performed on a player, but not who targeted them.
The Motion Detector learns if any actions were performed by or on a player, but not what they were, or who else was involved.

I wish I had some profound insight to make here, but I suspect it's going to be a no-lynch or a mis-lynch again until the cop comes out. Which is lame.

Why did you vote so early, you were the one that didn't even give the day a chance. It took 9 to get to the no-lynch

 

I specifically stated in my vote post that I would be away for the rest of the game day, and thus wanted to put that there so I at least had a vote in.

On that same line though everyone who voted NL would have to explain themselves. I don't think that's fair. It was apparent the day would end in a No Lynch, I'm not disputing that. What I'm disputing is why someone would hammer the NL 24 hours before the deadline itself.

 

 

To be honest I was unaware that my vote would be the hammer, but considering we usually vote no lynch on day 1 and multiple people voted no lynch and then said they'd be gone the rest of the day phase I don't see the real problem. If you and others were going to be away you wouldn't be able to contribute at all even if the day had continued, which gives scum no incentive to contribute to conversation.

I don't follow the logic that a motion detector implies the likelihood of a ninja.   That's like saying a cop implies the likelihood of a godfather.

Seeing as TW is very fond of the Ninja role for scum and although I understand that we should not name the previous round(s), I suspect that TW kept the game design pretty similar. Also that comparison you made is indeed off. If anything the comparison would be that a Godfather would imply a Cop, but again my assumptions are made purely speculatively. However you can't argue that the possibility of both the Ninja and the Watcher existing in this game aren't very likely.

Whatever happened in D1 of the old game has no bearing and D1 of the new game was over too quickly to pull any conclusions, i think its too early to start any kind of wagon, ive not seen anything suspicious so far, but if ive missed something please dont hesitate to clue me in.

Since the NL wagon is pretty much the norm, it does leave excellent room for a scum to try and blend in. I suspect we have at least 1 within the No lynch crowd.
With 16 players, I think it'll follow suit to have 3-4 scum.
With 9 out of 16 players among the no lynch group and 1 dead; We have 8 left. All scum could be in there or just 1 or 2. Not sure.

I'll try to make a list today or tomorrow on my feelings so far about this group

Eventually if i bitch enough, people will someday listen and follow suit.  Look at most the comments so far D2, people complaining we have nothing to go on, no real information.  Yea....well if you guys quit ending D1 in a flash maybe we would....or at least more of a starting point then now.  But we'll go ahead and waste today arriving at where we should of been by the end of D1.

 

Though I don't know why TW forced D1 to only be 2 days.  If you want to completely forget about last game, and this is suppose to be a whole new game, then we should be given more then a 2 day playing time for D1.  That being said, it likely wouldn't matter as the same people would look to rush D1 as usual.  

D1 was rushed (compressed to 48 hours as was) and thus we had VERY little to go off. In fact, the only thing we really can look at is how voting went, and that was a huge rush for No Lynch.

 

I'm interested why did you hammer No Lynch almost 24 hours early COD?

While I agree it was completely rushed, I blame CoD as much as I blame you'll.  CoD was a vote, just like yourself and everyone else, just because someone votes earlier then someone else doesn't give them any room to complain when they're just as much at fault for causing a quick end of D1,

It seems like you surely want us to forget last game.  Sorry bud, past games and how people play past games always come up in discussion and last game shouldn't be any different. 

Seeing as there is a Motion Dector killed, I'm pretty sure there is a Ninja on the scum team, which means that if there should be Watchers on the towns side as well. Do note that whenever you don't see anything happening around someone, that it doesn't mean they didn't do anything, because that could be the Ninja

Since it's been brought up, I'll address it:

 

I made the decision to shorten day 1 because after being forced to abandon the first iteration of this game, I didn't want people to get bored by having two "day 1's" for this game in such short order since day 1 is by far the most boring day of any mafia game. I almost elected to begin this game on night 1 instead of day 1 but I ultimately decided that some discussion was better than none to start the game.

 

And I will re-iterate one last time, do not discuss the first two days of the last game. This is a brand new game and should be treated as such.

The no-lynch wagon is pretty much half of the players, so yeah one player might be on there. If you agree with one scum player being on the NL wagon. Then you would assume the other are off the wagon. I believe there to be 4 scum. With that, there would be 3 off the "wagon".... However, NL is the same as not voting in my book, but for this talk. NL is just NL. Meaning out of the 7 off of the wagon, 3 of them should be scum. That is, if you believe only 1 was voting for a NL.  I don't believe all this, just stating it.

Voting doesn't have to be you for sure scum, it's a way to gather info. As soon you you vote for someone. Magic happens... They speak, most of the time. A vote can be bait, you can see whose is willing/not willing to vote for that person. with there being a 3/7 chance of someone being scum, or in SBG case since he knows his role... 3/6 or 1/2 chance of scum off the wagon. That is where I would start voting.

Wolfpacks to me hasn't stated much for the day; which I don't blame because there isn't much to gather at this point but attempts should be made. This concerns me.

Lyner casted a vote on SLMK; though whether a lul vote or serious , I'm not sure.

Rhizo came out frustrated (warranted by the way) with everyone; I don't think Rhizo would want to draw attention to himself if he was scum.

We can all agree we need to lynch someone today.
My only concern is lynching a PR. If we are heavily handed this game, it would go back to whoever said we'd lose information with each death.

Another note, I can see CoD not keeping track of the no lynch votes; but Lord Sunday bringing it up concerns me. I just think he may know something we dont.

I can relate to the frustration - I feel some too, a little bit of "Groundhog Day" going on here.

SLMK has given me some not so cool vibes, but not much more than that, and nothing I'd actually react to as of yet. Wolfpacks has been quiet, but again nothing I'd act on more than just to note in passing.

I have a feeling this one is going to move slow. :/
