Yeah, like I said it must be the drug questions, combined with my strong support for the law. I would give a heroin addict about 2 chances to clean up. After that just give them all they want until they're dead. If they don't care, why should we?

EVERY other site i've taken a test on has put me as very far onto the 'Personal Liberty" scale away from authority; though I do agree with the other 3. The civil axis is the only one I feel is different from everywhere else. Other than that, the questions seemed to not have a lot of depth to them. like "Do you support a worldwide initiative for climate change?" Well, it what aspect? A forced initiative that countries will likely ignore anyway or an incentive initiative that doesn't force anything but instead rewards those that follow it. This isn't a specific example or anything, just saying I felt the questions could've offered more depth to what they were specifically asking and instead of the "agree, disagree" more of a "how would you like to handle X situation"

I wouldn't be so drastic, but I agree that there's only so many chances you can give someone. No sense in trying to keep helping people who refuse to help themselves.

Well, I am a very strong Constitutional Capitalist that loves my country... if that's Neo-Conservative, I'll embrace it, no problem.

I am proud to be progressive. I believe the constitution is a progressive document, and I am profoundly proud of it. I don't mean to belittle others who disagree with me, but I find it very confusing that a lot of people who jump up and down whining that their right to say and do certain things is being impinged upon, but oppose gay marriage, and oppose a woman's right to decide what to do to her body, They don't seem too bothered by our president's efforts to stifle and control the press and dissemination of accurate information to the America people. I'm also puzzled by their denial of reality; they insist that the playing field is even, even though people of color are routinely stopped and searched for no valid reason, while Caucasians are seldom stopped in similar circumstances. They ignore the fact that a culture that allows this kind of social disparity to thrive to exist is not a culture based on equality. When theses thing are pointed out to them they resort to name calling, like "SJWs" and "snowflakes."

But what it comes down to is that if you are a good Christian, you care about the well-being of others. If you are a fan of the freedoms the US constitution affords us, it behooves you to apply it to all people realistically, taking into account that although we are all supposed to get equal treatment, we do not all get equal treatment. If you want to start a band and call yourself "The <fill in racial slur>" that is your right in this country and I will fight for your right to do so, even while I MAY choose to join a demonstration to protest your hateful name.

Maybe everyone should join the ACLU. Tell you what, I will happily spring for a gift membership for at least one of you so called constitutionalists. I mean that sincerely, what do you say, you self-proclaimed scholars of the constitution?

Oh and one more thing, there should be no illegal drugs. Prohibition doesn't work. There should be tons of mandatory education in schools and communities about the consequences of substance use/abuse. And underage people should not be permitted to use drugs, but if you want to put that stuff in your body, that is your right, and if you commit a crime while under the influence there should be consequences. That, and legalizing prostitution, would destroy organized crime.

I posted here because someone PMed me asking me to post in this thread. I've become cynical about this forum, I stopped coming here because I disliked the personal attacks. We'll see how this goes, I guess.

This is sounding like something I can get behind. I'll even sign on to another entitlement, and pay the additional Progressive tax to ensure passage. All Progressives get all the free heroin they want until they die. It will be pricey for about a year, but I would look forward to easily ending all Progressive taxes, balancing budgets, and killing the national debt in short order. Do we have a deal?

And here I thought we had finally found common ground. We both support free speech. We both support making drugs legal. Why would you go and turn down my offer?

I am almost sure you are aware the ACLU exists to protect our constitutional rights. I don't understand how you can have a problem with The American Civil Liberties Union. I would think anyone who likes the constitution would be thrilled to support them. They support free speech and have always fought the good fight. Wait, you started this thread to celebrate everyone's right to spout racial slurs. They support that right, too! Don't you want to join the organization that exists for the sole purpose of protecting civil liberties? Don't you like civil liberties? Don't you want your kids to have bright future of freedom? The ACLU is a horde of overpaid Progressive lawyers that have dedicated their lives to the delicate craft of subverting the Constitution, confusing the intent of the Constitution, and using the Constitution to kill itself by declaring it's own existence unconstitutional. The evidence is clear beyond reasonable doubt... when Bill Clinton was looking for a Supreme Court Justice, he found his prize at the ACLU, and her name is Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Just look at the wreckage she has left in her wake.

 

The ACLU exists to bend the Constitution to a Socialist world. You will have better luck sniffing around the young and less informed for your new recruits. Universities are good, or you could read up on Scientology, and learn how they were able to carry their lies, and keep their secrets, to such success. My guess is you will find really lost, stupid, and gullible people... but the problem is most of them come around, wise up, and want pay back. Good luck with that.
