I don't get email notifications so while I saw part of that whole thing, I don't know what it was all about. Not voting for now as that could be anything.

As for GoldIron, it sucks we lost a watcher, but there's a chance we have a backup watcher presuming that person picked the universal backup role. Of course, the alternative for that role choice was a role cop, so that's not a given.

Will have to think more when I'm not sneaking into the bathroom at work to post, but I wonder if the mafia fell for whatever Kitkat's bait was or if it was something more nefarious.

i believe that goldiron was lynched cause he was a recluse, not through any mafia intent. of course, thats my own opinion, so i could be devastatingly wrong and there could be all 3 mafia voting gold off.
I also have a gut feeling that lach is innocent, regardless of yesterdays posts(day 1 posts, not yesterday as in real time). again, my own opinion.

A tired writer was driving to his home, in his Prius, after a long day at work.
When he was stopped dead in his track.

11 hours later....
The Warrior was commuting to his workplace, when he stopped his vehicle. A huge crowd had formed on the road.
There was a Prius lying crushed on the road, but no sign of the driver.

Forensics indicate there was some fight last night.
On tracing the identity of the owner, it was found to be of one KtKat16, a controversial writer in the Ninok Times.

Recently, he had made public a recent big deal, involving drugs and this was the retaliation.

KitKat16, Vanilla Townie, went missing on Night 1.

I don't believe that anyone has any explaining to do. In the first place, he was extremely inactive. In the second place he would hardly have known how to best use his role, and after Day 1 he would have just been another VT. It sucks that we have 2 less town, but I think we made the right decision to lynch him, even though he was town.

Just because there was some level of reasoning behind it doesn't mean it was the right decision. Everyone on that wagon gets -1 town point in my book. TW & iSoc get -2 because they're more experienced and were surely very aware that going through with the lynch on GoldIron would probably result in a town death and reduce town's chances of winning.

Day 1 lynches are hardly the best ones but I would still stick to my stand that it was still better than ending day in no lynch. At least town have something to go on other than only waiting for some successful investigations from Town PRs. We lost a 1-shot watcher, dont feel thats too big a loss there. 

Is anyone on the wagon scum? Maybe or maybe not. I know I voted for him for his genuine inactivity. Other than his weak defense that he's a newbie so cant be scum, there was nothing scummy about him.

That sums up my feelings.  I know the scum would want to lynch a townie on day 1 but I also know that every game there are a bunch of misguided townies that decide to lynch their own.

 

I'd much rather follow a power role if there are any hints to be given.  iSocialism gets a fraction of a townie point from me for understanding my position, even though the sarcasm is noted.

​Even if we don't get much info from power roles today I don't think that justifies your decision. You may have cost us a day at the end of the game (if someone could do the math on that it'd be awesome).. and we probably will get some help from power roles. So your arguement there, while pretty, is weak IMO.

It is entirely possible that his suspicious post was made completely innocently and he could in fact simply be a noob townie, however, we have seen games on these forums very recently where noob players have made very similar mistakes and have been given the benefit of the doubt only to have it bite the town in the ass when they end up winning the game for the scum.

So my question is: why unvote GoldIron now when there isn't anything better to go on really at this point? What has GoldIron contributed that is beneficial to the town at this point?

@GoldIron - I'll ask you again since you haven't responded yet: Do you have any thoughts on the game or any of the individual players at this point? If you are a townie we would like to hear your thoughts.

 

GoldIron was completely inactive and contributing nothing. His one game post was suspicious and was extremely similar to noob scum posts that we have seen other people make in recent games. Whitebeard in particular comes to mind for those who remember.

 

At the worst we were voting to lynch an inactive townie who was unlikely to help the town anyway. At the best we were voting to lynch a potential scum. It sucks that he turned out to be a watcher but losing a 1-shot watcher isn't the end of the world. Chances are high that he wouldn't have learned much from his single shot, if he was even active enough to use it.

ok then, we have a few routes we can explore now. We can examine Kit Kats posts to see who he was at ends with. We have 4 names who lynched a townie. the Warrior, Lachiton, legoboyvdlp, iSocialism who should be questioned. Then we have Seebee who ran around naked last night, he's mainly put it off as joke along with everybody else, but I don't see why it happened to him, unless he has a night action or a night action was proformed on him. SeeBee, can give a serous comment on this? Course a power role could have something.

I think it was meant as a humorous add on. Being that I was offered drugs, there may be more to it than just a simple joke. That's a pretty valid point. I can assure you I was OFFERED drugs, I did not seek them if you catch my drift.
If someone investigated me, I would like to say thank you for making me feel important to get investigated N1. 

On a serious note, it usually stands to reason at least 1 scum is on the lynch wagon. I think gearing towards one of them would be the direction I personally take. I'd like to read over past reactions between them to figure out where I lean completely.
