For the time being it seems everybody seems fairly active enough, however that may change as the days progress. So far I don't think anything really stands out, apart from the stuff around Jazzy, but to me it's too early to make hard conclusions already

Rhizo, iSoc has the joint lowest posts, but you picked out CoD.
You ignored the 4 people below him, noticeably Lachiton who is usually very active, and iSoc.
It seems you want to shift the weights around or trying to stay low (i am inclined towards the latter)

I literally called it a wellness check lol, since you know, CoD hadn't posted in like 3-4 days.  And he got a lulz vote on me earlier, I wanted to return the favor.
Also, fyi, CoD had same amount of posts as me, not more and both Lach and Samus had posted hours before i posted so why would I call out them when they had posted just hours before I did?  SM asked where CoD was before I posted, so figured I'd help make him appear.
But mainly it was a lulz vote back at him at his early shot at me.
 
Also MK, take a chill pill.  You've so far voted No lynch, voted Kitkat, FOS Rafay, Voted Sea, FOS me, FOS Brewers, and basically FOS both Samus and Lach, to go along with your other fluff posts.  I'm happy you want to get your post count up by voting or FOS 1/3 of the people in the game D1, but you don't get an award for most FOS's or votes D1.

Well there's not much for me to do besides lurking. It's both my first IRON mafia game and first time interacting with almost all of you. I have nothing to base anything off of other than the 4 pages that came before my post. It's not like I can say, "Oh remember how he acted during that previous game" or "He's usually more talkative." 

 

Admittedly, my vote for Samus came from a lack of fully reading KevinH's first post. I didn't read the part about being able to vote "no lynch." My second mistake was not realizing a majority of votes were not necessary for someone to be lynched, all they needed were 6 votes. My vote wasn't an attempt to lynch Samus, it was an attempt to split the majority enough that no one reached 12 and therefore (I thought) no one would be lynched.

 

But, not reading the rules may be grounds for lynching, so I don't know.

 

How exactly your vote on Samus would prevent anyone, or to be exact: you, reaching 12 votes? There was no risk of you voting on yourself, so your voting on anyone has nothing to do with you getting 12, or any other amount votes.

Also how would voting no Lynch achieve that? Were you expecting others to follow blindly?

If town has investigation roles I lean more towards no-lynch. Which I think we probably do this game since Kevin said he took roles from the greater mafia list and tried to make it fun & balanced. That being said if someone seems particularly scummy I may go for it anyway.

Being inactive shouldn't be the only reason to lynch. Those that were easily influenced and were making bad calls at the very end of previous games (and caused town to loose the game) also pose a risk.

You can't confirm or deny it, can you? Even assuming, that we had plenty of roles, we most probably won't get any results tomorrow because people won't be eager to reveal themselves to soon.

By sitting calmly and waiting we're making it easier for the scum. They're not going to slip on their own, we need to poke everyone. But you know that don't you?

BTW, I've read the roles list and there is Miller and a Paranoid Gun Owner on it. If we have Miller around he should come out before the end of the day. As for the Paranoid Gun Owner usually there are probably more town roles that interact with others at night, so there's greater chance he'll shoot one of his own.

work jerking my schedule all around which is messing with how much sleep I'm getting. been a zombie for a week now. >.>

lots of fluff. the wagon on jazzy was for a lack of posting, hes here now so I'm confused why it appears so many are still voting him. he threw a vote out so hes contributing because otherwise the wagon would just say hes trying to avoid being lynched (aren't we all?)

 

His wagon originally was for his inactivity, but when he showed up his immediate response was the vote for the second most voted person at the time with reason being to start another wagon. That's why I voted for him, but as others have been saying lego's comments and determination to lynch Jazzy is making me more and more suspicious of him

While my initial vote on Jazzy was for inactivity, this is the reason that my vote has not changed up to this point. A first post that casts a vote on another bandwagon just to hopefully save yourself isn't exactly innocent looking and we have seen noob scum players make very similar mistakes. It is entirely possible that it was just an overall noob mistake rather than a noob scum mistake but I'm not completely ready to chalk it up to that. Then the exchange between Jazzy and legoboy piqued my interest as well.

I agree with Imran in theory here.

 

And while you raise a good point, Rafay, that mafia win by lynching townies during the day, remember that they will also win if no one is lynched during the day. It'll just take a lot longer.

 

The only ways to lynch correctly are to: 1) Get lucky and guess, or 2) Pressure people to post and analyze their posting and voting habits. Option 2 is the better option and it is the reason why people voting no lynch early in the day on day 1 is ridiculous. If you have decided that you are going to vote no lynch ultimately, that's great, but why tip your hand and do it early? That only helps the mafia. Spend the whole day pressing people to participate under the threat of vote and then determine whether or not you still want to no lynch later in the day.

​I know a lot of things. I do know poking can be good and that's why I didn't fully commit to no-lynch but.. I also know in the other game going on people decided to go through with a lynch D1 and lynched a town. I know there's a very good chance if try it again here the results will probably be the same. I know when everyone agrees a D1 lynch is a good thing it makes it hard to blame those who did it and it can be very hard to tell legit town on the wagon from scum. I know D1 is starting to wind down here and I know I want people to think twice before hammering. Those are just a few of the things I know.

Let's say that you are one, even then the game is still at Day 1, and there has been no Night 0, and i have never ever heard of a Day Cop in Mafia.

I do agree with you on both Jazzy and Legoboy. I have a feeling that one of them is going to end up being scum. Lego was trying to paind jazzy as scum by saying Jazzy used the same scum tactics lego used when he was scum for the first time. However, just because Lego did it does not mean Jazzy did it. Lego does seem determined to paint jazzy as scum. so im starting to think either lego is scum or perhaps since we dont know which roles are all in play lego might be an executioner with jazzy as his target

As I am not scum then Jazzy is scum? Anyway, I always lynch the scummiest looking person D1. Wagon analysis and VCA is useful.

I'm just saying that new!scum tend to do things like that.

I was just thinking that myself.. Claiming miller would only tell us you're either a VT with poor luck or a scum

 

Also I'm pretty sure MK's over-defensiveness is just his normal playstyle, but it definitely is worth noting. Can someone who's played more with him confirm on that first comment?
